As Conal or w/e his name admitted in a previous post, some Inquis/Custom Hawkes will be stuck with old looking faces due to this patch because the reason they didn't look old before is that it wasn't working as intended. Another DA developer mentioned that they are working on something like the Black Emporium from DA2 where you could change your face.

That is what I am referring to mostly by free DLC. I think it is hardly demanding to expect them to release that for free. If they turn around and make this Black Emporium for DA:I a paid DLC... well, that's ridiculous.

I actually was thinking about this earlier.  I'm certain there's even some sort of console work around that would allow users to change their appearance.  Especially given this particular issue.  Then I remembered that function is very likely going to be DLC...that most people will gladly pay for.  Kind of had an internal "touche..." moment.  But that much at least is kind of cruddy.

I would not argue some sort of stop gap that allows these affected users to alter their appearance.  But that won't happen.  Because it would cost them money.  I will sigh heavily over that knowledge.

I thought I read a twitter post about them looking into implementing a 'emporium' like way to alter your character after the patch and fix

(on twitter somewhere I cant find it now)

Who knows how long that will take but it would be a way to fix your character's face after they messed it up with the patch.

Exactly. Sigh along with me at Bioware and this amateur hour BS.

With any luck, I'll wake up tomorrow, come onto the forums, and see the hotfix has been released.

And then find out what it broke. I'm joking, don't smite me!

Unfortunately, nothing in there suggests it will be a free feature.

Ah thank you, that's it. It would be something a lot of people wanted PRE-patch anyway. (Including myself)

Don't play with my heart strings like that! Consider yourself smote.

That is true, I wont be happy about it but I will probably buy it. <shameless>

Bioware's DLC system is like this: It'll cost you $10 for me to get that bullet out of your leg, friend. Also, sorry about shooting you.

Cool but still. My character voice didnt set to one I have choosen on start (I had hawke voice change bug), So I have to start new game to avoid all old bugs? Still I think there should be some feature that allows us to change that in game progress...

Kill it with fire!

Seriously though is this happening on all platforms or pc only? I haven't been on the PS4 in a couple of days now.

Can anyone confirm if the work around fixes the stuttering that was introduced for some in patch 2? The game ran pretty good for me pre patch except for the few CTDs. I don't really care about the shinny hair but the stuttering is pretty bad.

I really hope they would release that and release it soon and it better be free because it all this bug. I love that feature in DA2. When I first started the game, I had to sit through the prologue like 10 because my character come out a bit weird or different. After 50 hours of gameplay I had to restart a new game because I realize that my female elf for some reason have a really big head so that really bother me.

Seems to be a PC-only thing.

Really? This is an obstacle? I know fandom can be reactionary and averse to change, but this is kinda ridiculous.

It may be an obstacle for some. I was merely adding to the point Conal alluded to when he was encouraging people to go to AHQ.

"Reactionary and adverse to change" is probably not even the main obstacle. More along the lines of convenience (people are already logged on to BSN) and perception (as I had described earlier - posting feedback regarding issues on the forum that has direct access to the devs as opposed to posting on a blanket EA support site).

Given that Black Emporium was free, why wouldn't this hypothetical new face-fixer also be free? And concrete reasons, not just cynicism.

I legit completely forgot that BE was a free feature.  I bought all the extra content I could for DA2 and this completely slipped my mind.  There is hope for us yet.

I am using the graphics work around and I am still experiencing the stuttering/freezing introduced with patch 2.

It does not. At least for me the stuttering even gets worse.

But it might be 'cause I'm on a medium PC. If you have the patch anyways, I'd try it. You can always erase the command line again if it gets worse for you.

Because Black Emporium was only free if you bought a copy of the game that came with it, as it launched with DA2 and had the code already inside the game and was a planned feature for launch. If you bought a used copy of the game later on you had to pay for the BE DLC. The DA:I Black Emporium was not a planned launch feature and only came into discussion after the voice issue/complexion issue came to light. Therefore since it is an entirely different situation from the DA2 one it could end up costing.

I was using the 60 fps cutscene command line aswell.  Removing that got rid of my stuttering with the new command line to fix the patch. Not entirely sure why.
