Since you posted that, I'll make a completely unrelated comment that I'm totally psyched for the evil trio of Cruella, Ursula and Maleficient. Hey it's got to be better than Frozen.
Okay I now return this thread to it's regularly scheduled flames.

Now I'm glad I played that one on consoles
Yep, and it was still buggy

Dude, I think most pc players would have sacrificed a pet for a 9gb day 1 patch for this game.

Everyone was already critical of Arkham Origins before release. I also hated how the PC port of Arkham City won an award and yet it still had the NVIDIA card issues.
Kinda getting late, wonder if Bioware will even release the hotfix today...
I'm not a fanboy or something but people keep complayining how bad DLC politics is and i don't know why.Simple if you don't like DLC don't buy it and stop whining.
PS: sory for my bad english everyone
It's not the DLC that people dislike, it's when game content is intentionally ripped out of the game before release for the sole purpose of packaging it up and selling as a DLC at a later date. It's kind of like when someone gives you a gift for your birthday and then follow it up with "That will be $9.99"
The only time people should be upset with a DLC purchase is when the download is a couple hundred KB (which is a sign all the content is already in the game and ready to go. All you downloaded was a code to "unlock" it).
Yep, and it was still buggy
Man.. I'm very happy that I got it from a holiday sale.

On top of already downloading 20gb?

Conal, if you are here could you pass a short update please?
Game worked great...till the patch. Now I have stuttering.....not as bad as some I have read on here but enough to get me killed in game.
Nonsense. Everyone knows this game was completely unplayable for three weeks before this patch came out.
/sarcasm

Someone unfortunately removed the colour red completely from the game and found it on a USB in the back of their briefcase the day after it went gold? Or whatever colour it would go without any red.

Personally, I'm more interested in this "dying bread" he mentions.

Ok, so I had benchmarked the game with the patch, but I hadn't had the opportunity to actually play the game for any extended period since the patch. Well after a good 2 hours of trekking through the Western Approach post-patch (with the command line workaround), I can report that all is well with my game. I didn't experience any crashes or major graphical glitches while playing, and performance seemed much the same as it did pre-patch, if not better. There might be some more obvious NPC and environment pop-in, but if so it's a negligible difference and I probably wouldn't have thought to notice it if I didn't know there had been a patch.
For reference, I'm playing at 1080p 60 Hz with all settings maxed out except no MSAA, on a PC with a 4 GHz i5-2500K CPU, 1120 MHz Radeon R9-270X graphics card, and 8 GB of 1333 MHz DDR3 system RAM.
I'm sorry did you say PC is a dying platform?
I had to turn off the MSAA as well. Don't notice a difference without it.
