Looks like the graphics issues has been fixed. But the freezing and the stutter that came with patch 2 is still happening.

The draw distance is still horrible compared to prepatch even with the hotfix.

Well.  (coughs)  Both players in this house thought the other one played yesterday and therefore patched, but apparently neither did. It's the original patch that's 270 and the hotfix is 17.

It happened to me once so far. I had my headphones on and the sound it made, for the pause, freaked me out.

 

Also, my patch started while I was playing, so I quit out. Is it dangerous to go back in while the patch is still downloading? I'm scared to try.

Wait, what?  Did I read that right, or did you just imply that the Xbox and PS4 can handle 4k while a PC can't?  The consoles are struggling to reach 1080p, unless they can somehow squeeze a 500% performance boost out of the consoles, I doubt there will be a console that can make use of a 4k TV anytime soon.  Maybe in 5 to 10 years if you are lucky.    
 
*I type this on my 4k monitor connected to my PC getting nearly 60 FPS on ultra settings while at said 4k resolution.

And yes, you did read right. But I didn't mean that consoles look better. Simply that because the hardware optimization is locked there's actually a visual enhancement playing on ultra hd as opposed to full hd. So what I'm saying is 4k tv's don't impede your experience on consoles by any means. Now I suppose the same could be said for pc. That I could just keep my settings at 1920x1080 instead of the native 3840x2160. But when I have the option to go higher. I'd feel like I have to, and I don't know what gpu could hit 60fps on a 55-60" uhd tv at max game graphics settings and native resolution. Probably none.

No I definitely patched yesterday, with the shiny hair glitch and all, and the download I'm getting now is 270.34 MB.

Well thats weird.  Considering I know I downloaded the patch yesterday and tried to play and saw the horror of my character and quit game and didn't play at all today.  Unless the game secretly deleted it.  

 

Ah well, guess I'm downloading with this tortoise speed both of them. D:

A funny bug I had during the female character creation is not happening anymore: When I tested the voice options I'd get Cassandra's voice saying "You leave me no choice". Not anymore.

Yeah the patch started while I was in a fight with 3 Wyverns and then it freaked out......I was not happy.

Yay, thank you bioware.  My ultra setting hair is back and it's not plastic!

Now can you get Dorians personal quest, Last Resort of Good Men to trigger, and I will be happy.

 

This. I've done two playthroughs now where Dorian would not speak to me after getting to Skyhold, I've basically never seen his companion quest(s) -- or any cutscenes with him after Haven. It's really frustrating to be unable to interact with a companion AT ALL, and I'm pretty surprised it wasn't fixed in this patch, since that's... a pretty big issue.

 

Not to sound unappreciative, though. The trade-off is this patch increased my performance by leaps and bounds, so it's still a huge improvement regardless.

I sure hope they look into the stuttering that was introduced in patch 2. I think the shinny hair pales in comparison to a huge performance hit like a bunch of us have now post patch 2

Well that was stupid of me to trust downloading the patch with the hotfix. The lag and stutter is really bad, no problems before the patch.
