Is it just the enchanter mail arms? If that's the case then it's an isolated mesh issue.
Yep, just those.
(that i've noticed)
And only on Ultra mesh quality

Same issue as NikOtinO7 now. Game is, for the first time, completely unplayable on pc.
My patch experiences thus far: First launch, played over 30 hours with near flawless performance with a mixture of High/Ultra Settings (and fade touched). Patch 2 gave me the shiny hair, and a weird glowing sparkle lines in some areas; performance was worse (but still playable). Post hotfix I cannot play due to hitching and stutter. Marching templar/mages on title screen hangs for a second or two, then they speed up super fast to catch up, then hangs (and repeats). Trying to use menus caused the whole game to lag and become unresponsive. Finally was able to turn global settings to high, restarted, but to no avail.
In game I simply rran a few steps forward and turned. Game froze for 3 seconds, and then continued to stutter and hitch.
I literally cannot play now until ANOTHER fix hits. PC is a 3570k i5, 770 gtx windforce 4 gig, and 16 gigs of ram. Game is installed on an SSD.
What driver are you running?

Looks like my messed up arms bug is nothing new. So nothing to do with the hotfix
Found this off the net from weeks ago

What driver are you running?
Just edited my prior post. Restarting my pc fixed the issue, Funny thing is I had to originally restart my pc because origin was hanging the downloaded (like some others had said). Who knows. Its works now, so all is great within the world again ![]()
Not only did new AMD driver plus yesterday's patch not fix the DX, bug, but I've been getting weird visual artifacts--like Chancellor Roderick's head radiating bands of color and intermittently turning into a skull. Just sayin' ...
I hope that whatever's currently downloading improves things.
I'm reverting to the older AMD beta driver and restarting my computer and seeing how it goes..
Just fired up the game to check the 'hotfix'
I can no longer select any replies to a conversation - you've completely broken my game.
What the hell is going on?
Restarted my PC and the game ran PERFECT for 5 minutes now its studdering and CPU temp is at 89C. WHAT IN WORLD!?! I have a very good cooler and fan setup, my PC has never overheated.
Oh look I stopped playing and my temps dropped by 30 Celsius
OMG YAY IT WORKS!
(Going to the previous AMD Beta driver)
SMOOOTH GAMEPLAYYY (except that cutscene FPS cap that will surely be patched)
All fine for me, the patch really improve my experience with the game, the new search mechanics are very welcome. And the new omega drivers of amd fix a few problems that i was having whit my card.
Went back and finished downloading the patch. I had that weird thing also where it blazed through a "370 megabyte download" before doing a 17 megabyte download. In any case, it seems to be working fine for me now.
Restarting the PC gave me back the dialogue options.
The stuttering however seems worse than ever and I'm using the command line 'fix'
-GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60+
Lord only knows how bad it would be without it......
I still have the shiny hair (the most noticeable, at least) problem after the hotfix. I don't know what to do >.>
Hmmm. I'm running the newest AMD omega drivers too, and previous to this latest "hotfix" everything was fine (except for the messed-up shaders from Patch 2). Now, whenever the game starts to go below about 40fps it starts to go in slow-motion. By the time you get down to around 30fps it's moving very slowly (not really playable unless you like playing in slowmo). I'll have to play with some settings, but what it looks like to me is that it's now attempting to render a specific minimum frame-rate of around 40fps, and anything below that it continues to draw all frames and just runs slower and slower motion... Very strange. Hopefully something easily fixed. (I have a full backup from before the hotfix, but I'm going to guess it won't load the saves I made since then...) I did remove the argument forcing the shader to ultra...
I5 3570k, GTX 770, Driver 344.75, 16GB ram, playing on mid-high settings.
I noticed that while the overall FPS has increased by about 5 (according to the benchmark), i'm also getting A LOT of stuttering. What's strange is that the stuttering only occurs when I turn the camera with the mouse. If I use the keyboard to turn the camera then the stuttering is gone. I very clearly recall this same issue for DA2 on PC and in that game I was forced to drop from DX11 to DX9 to avoid that issue.
Other issues:
- Occasional screen tearing even with Vsync on. Tried turning it off in game and turning it on Nvidia Control Panel and it still persists.
- Getting FPS spiking about every 5-10 seconds constantly. Whether i'm fighting enemies or facing a wall in Skyhold doesn't change anything.
None of these problems were around before Patch 2 came out. I've tried restarting the CPU, the 30 FPS "fix", the workaround before the hotfix was implemented and no dice. The stuttering, screen tearing, and the FPS spiking are still happening even if I drop everything to low settings.
Guess I won't be starting my 2nd playthrough until next year? I kind of doubt the Devs will fix the game's issues over the holidays.
Tip: If you have the raptor app from amd installed, you must turn off the record and replay options, this was caussing on my ring little freezes that last less than a secon every few steps.

Question, are you seeing it on the black and Blackwalls hair only? Because that has always shined a little bit.
It's more of a guideline or unspoken rule than actual code.... We try to keep the ginge from taking over too many family lines...they'll suspect otherwise.
Yes, we have meetings but Mr. Hiddleston, being on the red council, is seldom in attendance. He is usually busy with other matters. There are rumours that he showed up to one last year but alas I was in the back and didn't have a clear view.
We do, however, make sure we marry recessive gingers.
(I have 3 of 6 ginger kids. My ex has brown hair).

You've downloaded the hotfix and you still have the command line tweak in there?
It says on the OP "Please note that once the hot fix is out, you will need to go back in and remove this workaround from your command line."

OK, I believe I have this figured out already. I removed to arguments used to "unhitchify" the cutscenes and things appear to function normally now. So if you are seeing this slomo problem try removing all your framerate related arguments. I also tested a fairly long cutscene and had no hitching at all, even though it is now running the cutscenes at 30fps again, but 30fps and nice and smooth as butter, so that's good.

Pull the mouse-smoothing slider all the way to the right. I know it makes no sense, but that turns mouse smoothing OFF and completely fixes the stuttering during turning for me. Also, on one of my systems I have to run "fullscreen" and not "fullscreen windowed" mode or I'll get lots of stuttering. So turn the mouse smoothing off and then try different display modes. Hopefully you'll find a solution.

This probably won't help, but what do you have your mesh quality set to? Anything lower than high quality causes super shiny hair. Or did before the patch. No idea if that's still the case.
