so you're saying they should release the patch from their beds at home? also, the only thing Blizard patches is an MMO, there things work differently, MMO meintenance usually happens at 1-6am

Well... I already got the patch(I have a 360)... I'm just curious as to what exactly was changed.  The only change I know occurred is that the sonar ring lights up the minimap when there are lootable objects now(so you can tell where things are without having to click it 17 times while spinning the camera).

 

I'm just surprised that they'd let this thread go for 12 hours without putting up the patch notes...

Not all bugs and glitches are equal. I wouldn't come here to complain about minor bugs and glitches but if I have to restart the game and lose progress that's a major bug. If the game locks me out of content (like quests), I consider that major. MissingNo didn't break or freeze the game and force me to restart, a tiny bug like that doesn't bother me much. And frankly, I don't care how simple or complex your game is, I only care about that it works. I will excuse minor bugs in a big complex game like DAI but I will not do that for major bugs that really impact my enjoyment of the game. And the other big problem is that I, as someone who paid the full price and supported the developer by purchasing the game day one, get a worse experience than someone who buys the game 6 months later for half the price or less. That is not something that should be defended.

 

Also, Nintendo doesn't develop Pokémon. 

But if you saved in Glitch City, you had to start over, so that's game-breaking as well.

And I'm sorry to hear you got game breaking problems. Personally I've encountered nothing like that, and neither have a couple friends of mine. And I feel you, waiting 6 months to get an optimal experience isn't how it should be, but that is just how it is, and always has been with software Wouldn't have to look much farther than the Operating System you're running right now

 

And true, they aren't. But just like with games published by any other company, the publisher also takes a big part of the blame, so I don't think Nintendo should be treated differently. Issues, especially the bigger ones, are just as much the publisher's fault as it is the devs, since it's the publisher who sets the deadline, not the developer.

There's no single developer who wishes to release a product they don't consider finished. It just so happens with software, that it never will be "truly" finished
