I have a question about the hotifx and patch. Prior to this, I was bug witht he banter bug that prevent my companion from bantering. I was told that one way to workaround this is to use the war table to fast travel. Do I still need to fast travel from the war table?

So after the patch I can't seem to pick up the quest in the hinterlands to find this demonic ram Woolsey, or whatever his name was. Such a shame lol.

See if the IAStorDataMgrSvc.exe process is on again, if it's, finish it. You can permanently close it in msconfig. For me it's still working!

I use IAStor as I have 2 raid setups on this pc. But I do have the win 8 version. No problems with it so far

ok after a long time i played a round battlefield 4 today and got constantly freezing and stuttering no matter of graphic options. disable origin ingame fixed it, so it seems a big source of trouble was the latest origin update and not da:i itself

It is **** patch I have ever seen. After installing patch, keep freezing. It worked well before.

If I knew that it keep freezing when I bought, I would refund it. However, the time flew.... What can I do?

I can't understand what you guys are doing!

SOLUTION FOR THE STUTTERING

First of all disabling Intel Rapid Storage Technology may work. Go to your task manager and finish the "IAStorDataMgrSvc.exe"  process! If it doesn't work try this steps:

Do all of these steps listed below in that order. When finished with each step re launch origin and accept the user agreement and when it has verified your games right click inquisition and check for updates. After that has finished right click again to repair your game. The repair will make sure origin recognizes the updates. It will take a few minutes to do everything but it got rid of my issues.

Run ccleaner on PC:

http://help.ea.com/e...-fix-pc-issues/

Clear origin cache:
http://help.ea.com/e...emporary-files/

Perform a clean boot:
http://help.ea.com/e...n-boot-your-pc/

obs: it works for me and a lot of people, may not work for you!

I need to try this! I have just that Intel stuff running and if it's that, it's woth giving it a try!

Anyone experiencing serious short draw distances? (Grass growing when you move closer, Trees and objects popping up as you get closer, more obvious in rocky areas where you can actually see a "ring" of detailed pebbles and rocks not wider than 10 feet around your PC and beyond that "ring" the detail of the terrain has a very muddy texture to it. I'm experiencing all of this on the ultra/fade touched settings only after Patch 2 and hotfix as well as workaround fix.

Growing grass example:

Yikes, those are NOT fade touch graphics settings. Are you sure the hotfix installed? Maybe you need to do the game fix thiny in Origin. That ice looks like Low settings.

Yeaps, hotfix installed, workaround also in the game properties. I'm looking at the graphics menus and they are all set to the highest >.< I've literally stopped playing the game already... I hope the next patch is no later than a week, a week is already bad enough.

Thing is, you really should not be having this problem and I don't think it is something to be fixed in another patch. They did suggest removing the workaround after you install the hotfix. Try that....

Please note that once the hot fix is out, you will need to go back in and remove this workaround from your command line.

I did try it before but I've removed it again anyways in high hopes that I thought I did it in my dream :P But heres the result:

For what it's worth - I had a similar weird drawn distance problem when I first ran the game after patching/hotfix. I was in the Hissing Wastes at the time, and the draw distance was comically bad, even at Ultra settings. The distance details were awful to, with muddy textures and pop-up. Oddly enough the more I played the better this became until after about 10 - 15 minutes, the graphics were back to normal. I've re-started my machine and things still seems to be fine.

I wonder whether after the patch/hotfix changed various settings the game engine now has to 're-draw' existing content again? Long story short - have you tried just playing the game for a while to see whether things improve?

Unfortunately, the only change I noticed is for worse.

I didn't experience any crashes / freezes (or any serious issues, apart from loading times being quite long) before 2.0 - now it happened three or four times already.

Inquisitor keeps suddenly slowing down while moving/running. Is this the stuttering people mention? (I don't feel like reading 130+ pages of comments, sorry).

And Iron Bull keeps disappearing from his place in the tavern. His marker is still on the map, but I have to change location and go back for him to actually be there.

All in all, I'm slightly irritated.

When folks talk about "stuttering," it's a quick second of lag that happens fairly frequently.  I had it too for awhile.

There is even less music in my game since the PC hotfix.

In Haven there is no music at all, I've tried reading all codex entries, all items, etc, but nothing work.

Ambient sounds works, but no music.

I just think about it, but is it possible that Dragon Age: Inquisition wants forcefully use integrated graphic card independent from what I set in Nvidia controll panel, because my dxdiag thinks that the intel HD3000 (in my notebook's core i3 2350m) is my main graphic card when I set it to Geforce GT630m in my nvidia controll panel?

If anyone can try it out to disable their integrated graphic card and then run the game please report back if it helps with the stuttering.

Had a similar problem, too with my laptop. After disabling the intel card my screen went black. It didn't work. You have to start the game by rightclicking the shortcut symbol on your desktop (do NOT start Origin firts! It'll start automatically.) then choose "run with High performance NVIDIA processor". This should work.

Surinen, you're mad about the arms on the elf.  I get it.  Most of us get it.  You've started threads about it.   You've changed your signature to talk about it.

I do think you have a right to be upset, but beating this drum to death isn't the best way to express it.  The repetition is getting really old, and it isn't going to do you any good.  Please stop bringing into every single post, okay?

Not my character, not my screens, don't care :P

PS: Those are prepatch screens taken from a graphics guide.

I see I'm not the only one getting bald/white weird hair with hats. Is it on the bugs list or do we have to report it?
