But agreed with everything else <3

Sorry! She **

But I know how you feel right now...My game was fine even when they released the second patch and the hotfix for it, but today I started playing and now i'm getting white screens and directX crashes out of nowhere  :crying: I made an awesome looking female elf in the character creation today and lost her due too a white screen crash! I was so sad and mad.

Reinstalling the game fixed my cutscene lag and the game is running like it did on release for me on Ultra. The game ran flawless for me on max ultra and the patch turned it into a slide show during cutscenes and stole my elfs freckles. I had 2 crash to desktop in 59 hours of play which is excellent considering the amount of time I alt-tab and do other things while game is still running.

I hope Bioware does something with the hair, because its fugly and looks like hair from 2003.

are you getting all 4 cores maxed out?  i have the same cpu oc'd to 4.2Ghz.

My i5 2500k is running at 4.3Ghz while playing. All of the cores tend to be at around 75 - 85%. Just checked my game settings again and in addition to turning off MSAA, I switched off Ambient occlusion and lowered shadow quality to medium to boost my frame rate.

Want to know how much the patch broke banter for me? Want to know how broken Banter is? Post Patch Iron Bull sees dragon, fights dragon, wins and says nothing throughout. Way to go Bioware!

I'm having some problems, my power has been out for a week and I just got it back so I thought I'd play some Dragon Age and it won't load my saved game.  It says I need to download the newest patch, which I can't find anywhere!  When I first started my PC Origin updated Inquisition, I assumed it was the patch but it still won't let me load my game!  I restarted my PC and still the same results.  Any help would be appreciated!  I'm jonesing for my game.

I'm doing a clean install of DA:I on my newly built PC. I'm wondering - will DA:I patch right up to the hotfix? Or will I have to download it separately.

If you would indulge me what are your specs?

I'm willing to bet that someone over at Microsoft on the Xbox One team saw this patch and was like, "oh hell f****** no," and didn't let it pass for certification. Now Bioware is scrambling to fix it again.

X1 eill probably never see the buggy ass Patch 2. It'll get Patch 3 when Bioware gets it together.

I'm in the crowd whose game worked just fine before the new patch. The only problem I had was missing banter. No lags, no CTDs, no black or white screen, cutscenes transited smoothly from action to video and so on. After the patch loading times at least doubled. Or even tripled. Sometimes I run out of patience and close the game before it's loaded.

Also, even if  manage to get it loaded, I get severe lag. Seems to be on audio side on things. In combat the combat sounds activate when the mobs are already dead. Cutscenes get stuck at the beginning for several minutes with silent characters, and seem to proceed when the sound is loaded.

Repairing the game didn't help. Haven't tried to reinstall it yet, since I'm getting new videocard later this week. Maybe it will help without reinstalling the game.

My specs just for statistics.

i5-3470, 3.20 GHz

8 GB RAM

Win7

GeForce GTS 450

I know, videocard is below recommended(still above minimal, though), but before the patch 2 l had no problems, I played on medium+high quality meshes and it was super-smooth.

Will be getting GeForce GTX 660 in several days (it is in shipping now), so we'll see how it goes. But something tells me, that videocard is not really the problem, since the game used to work just fine before the patch.

I just want to play my game normally, that is all I want to do. It's been a week now since I last played Dragon Age, a game I payed full price for. It was fine at first, but once this patch was released, the game became a slideshow that is basically unplayable. I updated and rollbacked the drivers, I added code, I changed priorities, I tried to reinstall without the patch, but it won't let me.

Please Bioware, for the love of god please let me revert back to version I was playing before, I don't want my christmas break to be without Dragon Age. I just want to have fun.

Judging by the posts in this thread and on Reddit I can only assume I was one of the lucky few who didn't have 80 year old grandpa syndrome forced on their character or extreme issues actually preventing me from playing the game.

I created a full backup of DAI before attempting the installation of patch 2 on my desktop just in case.

After installing and playing with patch 2 I can definitely say the games performance has shot down a couple levels but haven't experienced any crashing, The only extreme issue I am facing after playing for about 8 hours though is micro stuttering (very rarely does it happen in combat) and actually happens mostly in skyhold / haven.

I do find the PC controls slight improvements to be refreshing especially the radar search functionality.

I have to say though that this game clearly has some hardcore engine performance issues even on hardware that should have no problem maxing the graphic details out.

Running on a AMD Radeon 7950 / I5-3570K setup with 8GB of memory (fresh install of W7 Proffesional with latest omega AMD graphic drivers) and a game like this should "not" have an issue at 1920x1080 at all...

Yes how dare people want their game to work. -_-

That said I only wanted the patch because I have the banter bug. Outside that my game was running fairly smoothly barring the occasional ctd but Origins had those too so I wasn't too fussed. The game's generous with the auto saves anyway.

Also I'm on a i5 2500k and a gtx 970. >_> granted my ram is only 8gb but I'm fairly certain I'm on the recommended side of things.

We have the same PC. I had no issues with 1.0 other than occasional crashing to desktop every so often. I didn't patch after I read the reports. I'm playing just fine.

Just came out, I was streaming when it booted me off to get it. Over 350 MB. Haven't run into anything broken yet but I also didn't exactly see most of the game in the past... hour I've had it lol. Haven't noticed any graphical stuff at least. Though I feel like in one scene cullens armor was less detailed then normal but that coulda just been a loading bug or... hell I dunno.

Anyway, it's out.

Ok, I have to say, after the patch I have short (1-2 seconds), rare (1-3 times per hour) freezes during explorations. No more issues so far.

On PC, post hotfix.

Slight stuttering but not permanent. One crash to desktop in about 4 hours played. Did not experience either before hotfix.

I think I noticed a banter improvement, but not for all characters. Meaning taking Blackwall and Sera to the Storm Coast resulted in banter, when there was none whatsoever with Bull, Solas and Sera in party, even though Bull had just been recruited.

One new issue is that the found banners (Free Marches, Dalish, Magi, etc.) no longer trigger a collection and are not registered as found. Had 2 playthroughs prior to patch without any banner issues.
