Bioware are very incompetent. This latest patch has made things a million times worse, there is a constant stutter and everything runs in slow motion regardless of which settings use and my system being up to date and high spec, characters vanishing from screen and others not appearing until 3-5minutes after wait at their spot then the character starts flickering on and off then back on again...only then do they become visible. The dialogue bugs are still not fixed, broken quest triggers are still broken, they have not improved the PC controls either. Bioware are a joke at this point, one of the most incompetent developers around. Fix the ****** game Bioware.

 

To be fair, they never promised to fix the controls in patch 2. They said that was coming in patch 3. but yes, I share your sentiment in general.

So if they give a timetable and then fail to meet it, they're liars. But if they don't give a timetable at all, they're lazy jerks who don't care.

 

Crazy idea: make a promise and actually keep it. Another crazy idea: provide info without making promises you can't keep, instead of remaining conspicuously silent.

I can only speak for myself but I play on a 2.5 year old PC, a rig that def. isn't top of the line by any means (My settings are between Medium-High, only thing on Ultra is Mesh), and yet?

I do not have crashes, stutters, I can load the game up without a hitch and the game runs just fine for the most part. I mean, I get it, bugs like that are annoying but....am I the only one who remembers how awfully bugged "perfect" DAO was when it was released? And how many bugs were only fixed by mods? Should I mention Awakening? I could go back even further, pre-EA, and tell you all that the BG Saga was pretty buggy as well......

Like you, I play on a 2.5 year old laptop with the settings on mostly high. I keep shadows and battle animation effects at medium just because I don't care about them as much as the look of the environment. Game has never had a problem running for me. I do notice lag if I have a long play session, which is corrected by saving and reloading.

This thread makes it look like that because it's mostly you unfortunate folk who can't play the game for some random reason...

 

Myself and a crap ton of other folk (as evidenced in this thread at overclock.net) are having no problems whatsoever.

And hell, that goes for both my home desktop machine and also a MSI G70 laptop. Plays perfect on high settings on the laptop and ultra on desktop. No crashes all ... did nothing special for either machine (both Windows 7) other than disabling all of the Origin notifications and "in game settings."

 

Two different machines and the game plays perfectly on both ... nothing special going on here.

 

How do you explain that? I highly suspect the number of PC users successfully running the game is FAR greater than those of you with issues.

Come on people, we've got to stop with the animosity between PC and console players.

 

We all want the same thing ... to be able to enjoy the game we payed for.

 

All this bickering amongst ourselves is hindering any attempt at a unified effort to pressure BioWare and EA to fix their mistakes.

Well, that's kinda expected when pc gamer are able to throw like 1000$+ in their pc.

Just like when any xbox and ps4 players look down on the Wii U and expect prettier games on their consoles.

That's just same feeling of superiority they've.

I agree with you about fixing in-game problems. However, I have to point out that just because people can afford more expensive items doesn't automatically mean they feel superior to those with fewer financial resources.

havent heard anything yet so i'm not sure i hope so. but not holding breath. yes fan of bioware i'm in a bad mood from incident which i had nothing to do with but girl went off on me. and the fact i havent been able to play since the patch....

This kind of stuff is needs to be fixed asap.

Even if I had no issue with the PC controls, I would not want to play until these issues are fixed.

Nobody cares if ppl are arguing pc vs console except the ppl involved in the argument. Biowares gonna stop the patching process because of message board arguments? Cmon...

MULTIPLAYER DLC is out, but the team making this content is another team, guys. Delaying bug fixes has nothing to do with realeasing a multiplayer DLC

These 2 threads are NOT just for the people who can't run the game. Yes, everybody knows it's a very small % who can't. And they are rightfully what Bioware is (hopefully) focusing on still, but we've been told that pc controls will be getting a major overhaul.

We've already been told they will be giving us another "wave" of tweaks for them, and that, Yes, they will be attempting to address "user requests" and fixes.

I'm sure everyone who wants and is patiently waiting for revamped pc controls are overjoyed that some are 'happy' with the existing pc port controls... And are having 'no problems whatsoever', but honestly, I don't think they care that much.
