EA and Microsoft have to meet and negotiate for each patch for every FCE = program issued on the XBOXONE after the first one, regardless of the FCE being cross-platform or not. And the first one is the day-one patch in the agreement (don't quote me on the last point).

So, yes.

That sounds more like what delayed the Xbox One version of Patch 2 than what's currently delaying Patch 3.

Maybe but they, EA and Microsoft- have to talk.. so time...money...people making comments...loss of customer good-will if the press relay the info...negotiate again...talk to the tech people...change in negotiations...retallk between executives and lawyers....time...money

do you see?

I'm hoping patch 3 is in the QA phase at the moment. Christmas is next week after all.

Cute.

Haven't you admitted to not even having played the game?

So you're saying the controls are retarded without having even tried them?

Honestly the ONLY thing I found completely off to use was tac cam. Mostly because it's highly unintuitive.

The controls ARE retarded, the tac cam is retarded, the UI is so far past retardation it's fùcking brain dead and already smelt rotten on delivery. But yes, PC game by pc gamers for PC gamers, you press A and it begins (by the way, who the heck decided to include stupid a$$ "click to continue" screens in computer games?)....

This is just ***** scary! The last people you want involved with DA:I are Microsoft and Sony.

The world was better without those two. Just keep Intel and AMD out of it please.

If only they had made a separate PC version! MS has to get its tentacles in somehow.

Shudders....

@tobyjake

It is scary.  I can almost understand the blind devotion to the Witcher 3 after having read that.  And last but not least, a lot of the nifty juicy little exhibits (where you can find the more scary or technical are edited, pursuant to one rule of the SEC).  and it's just for one agreement (50+ pages of legal language done reference heavy style: the X defined at article 1.2.3 in the conditions as set forth in article 3.2.5.8.4).

I refuse to read a whole 10-K without getting paid.  If I never encounter these horrible things, I would consider myself a happy man. even the ones in the EU are more palatable.

Love your avatar by the way.  Viconia ruled

What's the final verdict on the patch/hotfix?  I haven't downloaded it yet.

I read something about ice textures being worse even after the hotfix?  Was that ever true?

Well I can certainly see why some devs stick to consoles now.

Meh, I preordered TW3 for its no-DRM stance to show my support. Not for the game itself even though I'm confident I would enjoy it.

You don't think the outcry from console players would be deafening if the console versions were released with half the controller buttons disabled? Or all the sticks inverted / reversed no Matter what the users preference was lol.

Haters gonna hate. But don't bury your head in the sand.

And half the PC buttons are disabled? I mean I have played DAO, DA2 and DAI all in pretty much the same exact way. So *shrugs*

I don't know maybe it's because I'm used to playing jrpgs in the basic interface so I don't see what all the OMG IT'S UNPLAYABLE!11! hyperbole is coming from. I've played much worse.

Could it be better? Yes.

But this "OMG unplayable! Why you hate PC gamers BW?" absurdity is annoying.

But as for X, Y reversal...uh yeah all games don't let that be customizable. It sucks when it happens but you either get used to it or stop playing.

So, are we getting another patch soon? I mean, if they can make multiplayer DLC they should have time to fix the main game some more... just saying.

They were examples... It's not apples to apples comparing the control schemes so I picked something that might resonate.

If you think releasing a game where you can't bind mouse buttons, don't have the same general controls(walk on PC) & (unable to zoom out on consoles) as other platforms is acceptable that's cool. But it's not acceptable to most people.

These are just a few examples I could also speak about the console UI being copied to the PC and being called a PC optimized UI.

Fair enough.

(Actually I do think the not being able to walk on PC thing is stupid. But there's a better way to say that then the hyperbole lots of people are spewing.) As for most people...this board hardly represents most people.

That said yeah them calling the UI PC optimized was clearly a lie and they should be called on that. (I mean...what happened to the tooltips on ability on mouseover?). But again there's much better ways to argue that then what I've seen some on these boards doing.

It is unfortunate you seem to miss the point that this is the worst PC key layout released by BW for release day technology (and the only PC BW game I haven't played is MDK2) and right up there with the mess that is Dark Souls 2 (thank god it isn't as bad as the horrid steaming mess of a fiasco that was Dark Souls 1). I'm using a fairly heavy macro system and a Razor Naga... at present I would hate to play this game on a standard KB and mouse restricted layout (I prefer being able to remap). EA releases games to PC because they like the huge source of revenue it generates (especially as digital markets grow)... movement keys are not even standard directional keys, they are all forward (don't let the camera angle fool you there), there is no proper strafe their is no proper backwards , you cannot even remap basic KB functionality... it is a console control schema pushed out onto PC (imo due time constraints). The tactical camera is a mess, so bad that I find myself ignoring it 99 percent of the time even in Nightmare. This is BW in name only unfortunately... and yes I have gotten used to it, does that mean I like it? not a snowballs chance in hell do I like it, feels more like a middle finger to me.

See I was fine with everything you said til the bolded. You were reasonable, and listing reasonable complaints.

Then it just became "really"?

I recall complaints about JE's control scheme on PC (hell I find it clunkier than DAI.)

Am I the only one complaining about a brand new bug on multiplayer after expansion?
After you defeat the last enemy in the first zone/zones when the mission is 'Defeat all hostile forces', the key is not dropped and you cannot open the door to progress in the match.
I can't find anyone else complaining?

Yeah the only thing I had to switch was pause to space and jump to control.

That would've driven me bananas the other way around.

And you were reasonable until you questioned why people were referencing Origins because it was buggy at release.

Of course it was buggy.  And of course DAI is buggy.  We all expected that and hopefully Bioware is competent enough to resolve it.

That's not the issue with the pc controls.  We have no idea what they intend.

And great, you finished the game and were "fine" with the controls.  Nobody gives a ****.  Maybe you got too used to those jrpgs and didn't notice the downgrade in quality, who knows.  But what Wompoo said is what people have been complaining about on here since day 1 (which was almost a month ago) .  These issues were not expected from this company.   And after a month, yes some people are going to get a little ticked off with no fix in sight.  That's usually how it works when people feel they've been lied to and already paid their money.  So it's either pride that you feel the need to 'defend' what they gave us in Inquisition, or you just like getting into messageboard arguments.  Again, who knows.  But you totally missed the point.

Not sure that really is the correct way to support a stance but the fact that they are doing it is encouraging to me as well. As I would love nothing more to play something unrestricted.

So many salty people in here. L2Keybind. PC controls are fine [for me].

You only use the keyboard or are you using third party software to bind keys to mouse buttons? Which admittedly is clever. Or are you fine with the mouse? I'd enjoy the ability to freely manipulate more than keys in a PC title natively. Perhaps have more than eight skills in the quick slot bar during a fight. These are petty things to you I wager. But having witnessed these seemingly paltry things become streamlined or forgotten is disheartening to me. Different strokes for different folks. :)
