How can i get back to the version before the patch if origin forces me to download the newest version? I dont mean the updates... Origin will download version 1.03 of the game not 1.00... I hope they will release a new patch with a fix for that...

Is it still pirating and a violation of the copyright if i download the unpatched version an "some other sites"?

Edit: I think you are right its the CPU it is used 75-90% but not 100%

I know you can't,and its not a violation of copyright if you get the game from other sites(I don't see it that way),because you have payed for the game ,and what you get its  not cracked, you just use an back-up that you could've done it yourself, this is what I did, there is no other way.If Bioware doesn't agree with this, then they should give me my money back ,because I payed for something that I can't use because of their mistake

i know only one way to do that. reinstall the game & play offline, maybe origin has to be online to, dunno, u can test it, & turn auto update off, if that dose not help then go offline with origin, maybe u half to be logged out in game to & maybe its automatic if Origin is offline, i men if Origin is offline maybe game is to then

It doesn't work, the version of the game that they have on Origin is already patched,I  already did this ,there is nothing you can do

I would also like to know when the next patch is coming and if it will include a fix for the Display Driver not responding resulting in DAI crashing.

I am not simply whining about this in a forum. I have spent countless hours on Google, Reddit, Nvidia Forums, Here etc.. trying to research this problem and find out the root cause.

As I understand it, it's a problem with the game's coding and nothing can be done on the user's side to prevent this crash, other than certain things to prolong the time between crashes (ie lowering graphics, re-installing drivers/game etc..). However when I'm hitting 60 fps on mostly high and ultra settings, I can't bare the thought of having to lower the graphics even more just to prevent crashing.

I am a patient person and can wait accordingly as I have many other things to do, but honestly I consider DAI one of (if not) the best games I've ever played. So despite my fairly busy schedule, I'm still so eager to be able to experience this game to it's fullest!

It is strange however, I am at the 96 hour mark in my playthrough and up to the 95th hour I only ever had a handful of CTD's as a result of this problem. However, in the last hour of playing I have had more CTD's than I'd had the previous 95, which is unfortunately resulting in the game being completely unplayable :(

Display Driver crashing is a traditional Nvidia error since 290.xx drivers. There's no stable PC with Nvidia drivers,

did you tried to install your drivers with Display Driver Uninstaller? Its a safe tool and can be used to do clean install for both

NVIDIA/AMD drivers.

"NVIDIA Display kernel driver stopped working and recovered" I assume this is your problem when playing DAI? If so,

then may the god protect you and your Computer. No sarcasm or trolling, many people on NVIDIA forums still waiting help to

fix that frustrating problem since 2010.

If thats your issue, I dont think BW can fix that since this is a driver-related problem as far as I know.

Nvidia is infamous for the drivers issues, that much is true. However, It is true that they have messed things up with the patch. It was stable and playable before on my 560TI. Once patched though it started the crashes session. I didn't mind since i was getting my new computer with a 970 on. Guess what happened next? Crashed of course and no, it's not the drivers (I can run anything else fine including LotF and similar issue games)

I got this sucker shelved until it gets stable and less beta stage unoptimized.

As far as "NVIDIA Display kernel driver stopped working and recovered" is concerned, that is a PSU issue in most cases or made a PSU issue by the Nvidia driver tweaks and OCing.

WOW.

How would news help? They already said a patch is coming. You want the exact date and specifics what they are doing? Patching is a creative process. They won't announce it until it's basically done and ready to implement. They cannot give a deadline nor know what issues they are able to fix and what not in advance.

Also, it's the holiday season. Expecting any Bioware employees to even bother getting out of bed is pushing it. Patch is more than likely coming in January.

I was going to respond to this, but I'm not going to recap a month's worth of discussion and explanation for someone who can't even catch up before blowing this kind of smoke.

FFS, Bioware, do you even test? Patches are for fixing, not breaking. Seriously what is wrong with you? On release the game was constantly crashing because of some directx problems (or whatever it was) which made me recreate characters several times (and I spent at least 30-40 minutes on every try), because whoops! no autosave until you're actually given control of your char. But ok, fine, after that the game ran smoothly on my R9 290x, so whatever - I forgot about it. Been playing offline for several weeks, decided to go online just to check the multiplayer and BAM new patch. --Nice! Nice! What does it fix, what's new?! --The game is basically an unplayable piece of **** now - that's what (I'm taking about that problem with code and allocating). Turns out this patch was out for almost two weeks and there's still no fix for that problem. Riiiight, ok.

Bioware, you're not an indie dev and this is not some 8-bit artsy game about triangles and kefir, get your **** together.

Fortunately, I haven't encountered any stutterings yesterday. So, I decided to finish the party prematurely before there would be any future problems, and it's done : my 3rd party is finished. Yay, 205h of gaming in despite of the bugs, I was happy. After that, I was really enjoyed by the absence of stuttering and I was motivated by creating a new character : I created a dwarf, boom, freeze of the PC during the creation. Reboot, re-launch of the game, I re-create the dwarf, began the intro, aaaand... boom, freeze. Just before the first auto-save... a mysterious good spirit certainly help me to not throw away the keyboard through the screen, and I made a new reboot, a re-re-launch of the game, and I re-re-created the Dwarf. I've finished the last elements of face design, happy to have done better than before, when just before the validation... SURPRISE, FREEZING.

I can't continue like this, so I stop everything related to DA:I. I will only replay when a true patch will fix the technical issues.

Logic..use it. pretty simple tbh. Don´t expect the patch be out until January tbh. (due to holidays etc..) Would be suprised if it did..

and for those who´s saying the game is "unplayable" or "unfinished"? Been playing far worse "buggy"/"unplayable" games than this. SimCity 5, Rome TW2 comes to mind..those were really crap during release.

Because of this post I'm going to assume that you haven't had the chance to investigate the pages upon pages before this post detailing issues that, quite LITERALLY, make the game unplayable. This means that players cannot progress or even begin their games due to bugs. You and I seem to be in the category of players who had minimal issues with the game, which is lucky for us. That doesn't mean other people aren't having legitimate trouble.

If anything, posting the patch after the holiday may exacerbate things, as I'm certain many people will be getting the game, and we'll have a new influx of people having problems.

I'm not saying Bioware shouldn't take as much time as they need to, but it's not illogical to be irriated that you can't play something you paid money for, and aren't getting updates on when you might be able to.

Thanks to people like you who accept broken product the games are more and more broken at release. PC version of the game is poorly designed, dev blogs were promising something completely different.

There is banter/music bug that is not acceptable for some people. and many more

You are just like a lemming.

Read my post above the yours. And tell me if it's « playable » (before patch 2, anyway, it was... for me, because other players already complained before that). But I don't disagree with the other half of your point : SimCity 5, as well, was buggy as hell. I don't complain about the seriousness of BioWare, I trust them. But it seems there is a problem with EA : Battlefield 4, SimCity 5, The Sims 4, DA:I, ... that's a lot of day-one ultra-buggy games from the same editor, just sayin'.

Logic would tell you, based on this thread and the other, that many people are having problems that are in need of fixes.

So: you first.  Hypocrisy is pretty simple, tbh.

What? who have said i´m accepting "things". All I said was that there have been far worse game releases in the past (which now have been fixed..)

So yeah I have still some confidance in that BW/EA will fix things may it take weeks..months, don´t care as long it gets fixed. Have patiance.

Still no news about the patch. Male elf models remain broken. Bioware avoids communication. No updated on the fixes. For those who decided to play male elves it is 5th week of almost unplayable experience. But not only elves are the problem, qunari bow animations, female characters gorilla arms during cutscenes, fps problems, lack of english subtitles for polish/russian versions and many more issues. This game is broken but there is no apology, only celebration of success and GOTY. Almost as if taken from propaganda pamphlets.

On the official site we get to look at new fan creations and best trailers of 2014; wisely BioWare did not choose to put there a gameplay trailer where mage is in the armour that got cut from SinglePlayer and placed in the MultiPlayer so that you can get encouraged by the microtransaction system and buy it for your online character.

Link to armours cut from SP(they are unique MP rewards now, grind-but-better-use-your-wallet!):

Here I leave links for those who are interested in the male elf problems:

No, they have not deleted my initial post, only the one after you started a 'fight'.

Also, as you see my post touches upon not one but few subjects.

Ctrl has no function besides freezing the game for me in tactical mode, etc. :| Oh well.
