At least elves have a variety of different armor appearances though, Qunari have like 2 total.

Variety is one thing, broken-glued models another. No armour can save you from looking like a hellspawn spider from the pinheads dreams

This entire thread has turned in to my daily moment of hilarity to laugh at the butt hurt haters.

150 hours and playing perfect... hell I've even hacked it so that walking is perfect and overhead tactical is perfect. And personally, being a die hard WASD/Mouse DA:Origins player ... I think the PC controls are responsive, natural and very capable.

LOL ...

You are so edgy.

Just to make you look like an even more pointless contribution to the gaming community than you already are. I can confirm 120 hours in and not a single hiccup / crash here either.

I'd be willing to bet at least 50% of the peoples complaints in here are overclocking related from people who are still wet behind the ears. Not all, but a lot of them.

I love people like you who IGNORE the technical forum with its 200+ pages of bug reports.

Oh what we got here : 2 meagers insulting trolls... Yes someone is wet here, but surely not the one who need more patch from Bioware... I suggest you to get away from here to just play you perfect game...

I have a "correct" experience of DA:I, with good video quality, smooth movements, but really far from perfect, with some CTD I don't know why, freeze I don't know why (in fact I know why : a core a 100%...), and so on...

I played 4 times DAO and 6 times DA2 : and the persons just saying that it's the same experience on PC are just liars... A fact IS, that on PC, with kb+m, we loose move and autoattack, or move and fetch...

We loose the real tactical view where I can see all my party at a time (without a mod) and issues more than one command...

We loose the customizable tactics : we even loose all the general tactics, like tank, ranged dps, support, and so on... And don't tell me that they're implicit, because I'm really fed up to move away my ranged dps from the face of a dragon...

If you play a tank or ranged dps, the experience is palatable, but try a rogue or warrior melee at difficult other than easy or normal : you will understand...

The hitbox are freaking horrendous, the inability to strafe will kill you more than you think : it's just nighmarish...

And where are my 30+ skillslots? What? 8? Ok, with the oversimplified skill trees, I don't need 30, but sure more than 8 without a doubt, even more for the inquisitor...

Excuse me : how can we compare the gameplay and UI of DAO and DA2 to this BAD console port...

I like the game, really : but, i'm not going beyond 7/10  because all thoses gameplay issues, and CTD...

It's really sad : missing greatness for a lazy UI port from console....

We can EVEN not customize our GAMING mouse...

JPR out!

You are so edgy.

Not edgy at all ... I'm genuinely amused at how upset the handful of folks are that probably just have broken or outdated PC's or are personally incapable of adapting to slightly different control mechanisms ... so much here reads like the gnashing of teeth one would find in news stories covering genocide or some other true atrocity ... but it's just a game, decently running for the majority of users and with slightly different control scenarios than it's predecessors. LOL ... so I felt it worth a bit more counterpoint to the whining (cause it's not my first post regarding such) ...

BTW: just did some of the "judgments" from the throne in Skyhold and man is some of the dialogue with Josephine *HILARIOUS!* ... especially the one judgement involving a certain wooden crate .... bloody brilliant.

And I swear, a certain Grey Warden in the later parts of the main story line looks just like Freddy Mercury in armor .... LMAO!! ...

Oh well ... ten times better than DA:2 and for me at least ... a good bit better than DA:O due to the scope of the writing and especially the much more varied and interesting creature encounters and boss fights. DA:O, though not without it's own hitches here and there was and remains a brilliant bit of work but man did some of the fights/creature encounters get a bit tedious and repetitive. Inquisition is way richer in that latter regard, I think ... as well as just being bloody huge in an environmental regard ....

..

People like you will only understand other problems when it will happen to you, how selfish.

I encounter bugs/problems with games *all* the time ... not the least of which being DA:Origins, which really had some issues towards the latter part of the game ...

Bugs, glitches, etc. are just daily facts regarding PC gaming and when I encounter them, I simply spend as much time out on the intrawebz reading the static around such until I find the fix; I've never encountered a problem in a game which did not have a corresponding hack/fix that some users had already solved on some forum some where.

There's always a solution beyond griping at the game maker and crying on your keyboard till some "patch" or otherwise comes along and solves the problem for you.

Least that's been my experience with many problems that I've encountered in games...

You're not going to understand this, but I'll put it out there.  I didn't read anything beyond this, because you (gleefully) stated you have no empathy or sympathy for the folks that have issues.  You believe you're superior to them in expertise, intellect, attitude, and probably mad skillz.  This is known, colloquially, as being a jackass.

Also condensed into "you're so edgy".

I completely agree with the above ... 100%.

Plus it irks me that I can't select all of my party members at once ...

And the tiny cursor that gets lost in fights is hugely annoying, especially when trying to disrupt/close rifts ...

And I have more personal little complaints ... but I'm more prone to simply accept that it's a different game design and resign myself to simply adapt and enjoy something I honestly waited FOUR YEARS for. LOL ... true story; never have I so pined for a sequel/new release and so far, I'm tickled pink. I've honestly never seen such writing, story cohesiveness and especially unbelievably engaging voice acting in any other game to date ... the graphics, sheer size of the game world and those last few points regarding production qualities far outweigh the minor annoyances I had when first getting acclimated to the game.

I don't expect EA to solve all the "issues" that can bug me at times ... maybe a few, like the cursor size, party selection, zoom factor and others that seem a fairly easy fix ...  but propogating an endless spew of vitriol in threads like this isn't going to facilitate anything except making a few people feel like they "are not the only ones."  And maybe that's okay in a sociological regard but I personally don't think it's going to prompt EA to change things any faster than they would otherwise...

Now, if I can just find that cursor size mod!

:-)

Ive completed the game without a single crash and without a single gamebreaking bug too. This makes two of us. Bioware, both your consumers are satisfied and can handle anything so it must be the same with everyone else. Please close these threads and dont bother with additional unnecessary patches.

:D

But seriously these threads are beyond bug reporting by now. with 170+ comments here and 300+ more in the PC issues they have enough information for a lifetime for a future patch. And they did state that mouse controls will be improved party banter will be more frequent, stability stuff and more. They even mentioned addition free content btw.

I'm glad the game is working for you. I do love the game as is (I have the PC version and use a game pad)
All I need is something from the developers patch wise to sort out the optimisation problems and I'm good to go.

Dismissing problems that others are having as issues with their machines , and generally posting with the intention of inflaming the situtation must really help with your ego problems no?

Perhaps I coud suggest that if the game were as good as you say it is , and runs as well on your rig as you state - you'd be playing it rather than trolling those less fortunate.........

Nope, sorry. Your Solas had glued arms. It happens 100% of time when he stands idle, it is just minimalised by his unique armour. And if you would play male elf then you would have broken and glued arms. It happens to everyone. Models are botched.

Eff this sh**. I disabled automatic game updates to avoid getting stranded like so many players.

I just dare launching origin today, and it forcefully reactivated auto-game updates.

Tried to cancel update, but I get a message saying I'd lose everything if I cancel now. What's everything? Update files? My saves?

Anyways, I am pissed at EA now, for their crap tool forcing my hand into using a patch I was more than welcome to avoid till BioWare made some work of it.

Great way to end the year. Sigh.

This game isn't perfect.  I've had a handful of crashes (more with mantle, ended up going dx11, because it's far more stable that way), that said i've helped over a dozen people debug this game by having them reset their bios and gpu to stock, because of atrocious overclocks.

I even helped someone crashing at stock by walking him through a prime95 run and verifying his system wasn't stable at stock settings (so through trial and error we stabilized his system.  ended up he needed to add some more volts to his ram).

This game is insanely sensitive to bad overclocks or unstable systems.  Your system pretty much has to be FOLDING@HOME stable to play this game without issue.

140 hours, 1 CTD, while alt tabbed while loading.

Not commenting on tactical camera, as most of the statements are true, though ever so slightly (extremely) blown out of proportion.

we need walk to loot, walk to auto attack, and proper tactical camera back. IF CHEAT ENGINE CAN FIX THE TACTICAL CAM, THAN SO CAN BIOWARE.

OS: WIN 8.1.2( AKA fully up to date OS)

storage : 2x R0 1TB SSDs

Mobo : R4BE

chip : 4930k

memory :32gb 2400mhz Trident X

GPU : 3x Titans, 1334mhz / 7.5Ghz. '

(in game settings : max possible, with 1440p res - solid 60FPS, though some zones almost feel like they have broken scaling, though that can't really be possible. Hissing wastes, the biggest empty wasteland gets the worst performance, which is funny)

i've been in the shoes of the person that spends more time raging on the forum than trying to resolve what is possibly a local issue.

We've seen quite a few of these people walk into my local forum of choice. After they rant & vent, we walk them through clean re-installing things like drivers, redists, direct X, updating operating systems, stuff like that. I would say 3 out of 4 have resolved their issues JUST from updating their out of date & pirated win 7.

IF steam forum is any indicator, the general level of intelligence of the modern PC gamer is pretty low.

Example : GTA-IV Thread. The game requires an MS-GFWL update to function properly. People come into the thread, create a post "doesn't work, PLEASE TELL ME HOW DO FIX" without noticing that there are two stickies with amazing breakdowns covering all the possible issues, and how to resolve them.

I was away on work/vacation and felt saddened at first when I reconnected to the forum yesterday and saw that people were still defying the deafening silence of St Mark the Devious and St Mike the Sly, but......

Sir, you are on fire! Keep it up. They will soon crawl back under their respective bridges. Where they should have stayed all along. Trolls, trolls, trolls...

I don't think they're trolls, honestly.  I think they genuinely believe that they have Secret Technical Expertise & Insight that would fix 99% of the thread's problems.  They participate in tech forums on the internet, by golly.

They are probably unaware of the mess that is EA AHQ and the lengths to which folks with problems have gone to try to fix them, with official and unofficial technical support.

At any rate, I don't have any technical problems.  My problems are with integrity, accountability, and communication.  None of which can be helped by posting here, but I like to do it because I'm easily entertained.

You have problems with integrity, accountability, and communication?  Like in the metaphysical, platonic sense?  That seems a rather bold and shocking thing to say.  The kind of thing (though more fleshed out) a cartoonish villain might declaim.  Well let me be the first to say that integrity is a fine and noble thing.  To disregard the latter two virtues.
