I really hope the next patch fixes the broken 2 handed detonators. Seriously both the detonators are bugged and do not work.

How in the **** is there not any information on the next patch by now?
i know this may be hard to believe, but the developers are people too. Generally companies give employees the last two weeks of December, and the first 2-5 days of January completely off for the holidays. They're spending time with their families, and I can't blame them. This is a team that works late nights and weekends. I wouldn't be surprised if some were still getting in some work over the holidays. Be patient, we'll hear from them during the beginning of January no doubt.

They tricked us into buying an incomplete broken game, and got our money already. So they are in no rush. I was looking forward to playing DA:I some over the holidays, but now I just hate Bioware and EA. If they do read anything anyone posts on these forums, they probably just laugh it off as us exaggerating or being trolls, but this is going to hit them hard for their next big game, when few trust them enough anymore to buy their product, or expect them to deliver any sort of communication with their customers apart from the facade they put up on twitter etc about everything being fine and dandy.
Holiday/Vecation..go look it up. -.-*

My money is in February.
Think of it this way, the year 2014 was the year for Dragon Age Inquistion, from a marketing point of view. Just some teeeny whispers about ME4 at PAX, as the Bioware Studion did not wish to dilute the DAI "message" before Launch. 2015 is the year for ME4.
So, now, DAI staff is in maintenance mode. We will hear from them when something substantial pops up.

I'm holding off on any future patches likely, just like I did this one until I had no choice (had problem with windows update, made me have to reset entire computer, so patch 2 came with redownloading dragon age).
But I had my game stable and working beautifully in patch 1 (eventually, after weeks). Then I just recently got it working great yesterday for patch 2. I really don't want to have to go through more tweaks and fixes for every ****** game patch that comes out. Patches are supposed to fix ****, not require fixing. What the **** is this?
And I used to think PC gamers were exaggerating about EA's PC treatment. Hoo boy, do I wish that were true..

I don't believe so, or it may. If we are going strictly off of their intended plan of prioritization listed at the beginning, patch 3 focusing on pc controls, banter bug, then probably not. In my opinion that issue falls under the umbrella secondary priority title "Features and Content".

If its every in doubt, its all right here.
Man I wish the tactical camera worked like it did in the vid.
I honestly don't find the current tactical camera to function much differently than that above video at all other than the obvious (and perhaps glaring for some) fact that the selected party member seems to "auto attack," as was the case in DA:Origins; obviously, this isn't the case in the released game as you must click each time you want your controlled character to attack.
And thanks for posting that, as I can now understand why so many folk do not like the new tactical camera. Because if coming from Origins, where you preferred to let your party members, even the selected/"controlled" one auto attack, then this new tactical view might really frustrate...
I did this vid just this morning and believe it or not .. other than the obvious differences between DA:O and DA:I's tactical views (auto attack of main character, better zoom extents, etc.) ... I generally played this "pause/point/click" style of play throughout all my DA:Origins games. Something about having my controlled character run on auto just always bugged the hell out of me and I always felt better pausing the game and pondering over what spell/attack I wanted to use and on whom. And, in Origins, I paused a lot...
...
...
So I guess that's why the new style of play seemed immediately very "origins like" to me (really) ... as I played Origins in this very same way. For me, it felt more like an old school D&D approach to the game (Origins) and it also seemed to make each encounter seem more protracted and that my personal actions as a player held more consequence overall than did letting my main guy play on auto. Some people might find it not as immersive or that it breaks the flow of things but oddly, I find it just the opposite.
I do totally miss the hugely capable tactics in Origins, though but again ... I've acclimated.
Lastly, something I enjoy more about Inquisition is that when in tactical view, you can basically operate like a free floating camera, zooming down, rotating, moving forward, side to side or backward ... all at the same time ... whereas with Origins you are limited to a top down view only, where you can either rotate around the selected character or simply move left/right/up/down in relation to the selected character but always in that top down view .. there's none of the free floating cam style present in Inquisition which more so makes you feel like an invisible eye zooming around the landscape with movement on all axis'. I like them both equally ... but I really enjoy this free cam take ... very immersive.

Thing is this issue only happens IF meshes are high and above. It is basically trying to do the dirt on armour but does it extremely poorly. Just disable it or give me a command to disable it as it is frustrating wearing tan bottoms all the time.

Compared to DA:O ... there really is no real "tactic" system ... nothing logic based like the awesome one in Origins. As with other things that somewhat annoy me, though ... I've just taken it for what it is and have been having a feckin' hoot with the game. Can't get over some of the costume designs (in certain "courtly" quests) and the dialogue/voice acting ... spooky good ...
And just speaking of annoyances ... that blasted cursor is *impossible* to see in massive spell battles .. there's so much going on during those moments, though I'm not sure what sort of cursor would stand out against all the visuals ...
Ah, well ...

^^ All of THIS ^^
We especially need a bright combat sight that we can toggle with a hotkey. Something like the one that finds the Shards, only with a "crosshairs".
Doesn't need to be present all the time, just when Quizzy needs a little help finding where s/he's aiming! ![]()

Can anyone tell me if they fixed the cutscene crashing with NVidia cards? I haven't played DA:I in a while because it took me 7 tries of cutscene crashing to desktop to get from Haven to Skyhold.

They find adding new skyhold inquisitor outfits and adding walking mode a difficult thing. Changing the Combat AI settings and such stuff must be outright DAFUQIMPOSSIBLE for them. I dont think there will be any major improvements in the upcoming patch(es?) when it comes to combat control.

That would be a rather neat thing (the hotkey). I've read here and there that the Frostbite engine (or some aspect of the mechanics of Inquisition) make it next to impossible to mod ...
That said, having an extensive history (still doing play throughs) with Origins, I find the game (DA:O) to be many times over more enjoyable using mods; and, I use *lots* of mods ... so many that I use a mod manager to keep track of them. The vanilla DA:O is fine really but tons better with mods ... tactic mods, armor mods, texture mods ... shoot, I think the DA:O looks nearly as good with certain texture mods as does DA:I...
So, enjoying DA:I (PC) immensely as is, I still hold out hope for some ridiculously bright group of hacks being able to address simple things like the cursor issue, clothing, models and the like. I don't really expect to much more from Bioware (accept maybe helping to address issues others are having and maybe a walk toggle, though that last bit is really not that important to me) cause like I said, I'm digging the hell out of the game already.
But yeah, a hotkey would be cool ...

But why isn't game advertising 100% accurate like other forms of advertising?
other forms of advertising are 100% accurate?

Dunno since the middle of december because I'm on holydays in family, but the problem was still here after the patch 2. I think it's one of the goals of patch 3.

NVidia 347.09 Dec 23 are good. Still some freezes but a lot less.
but then I was running Norton 360 in the background. No freezes since I enabled Silent Mode yesterday. Hope that was it.
7 freezes between Haven and Skyhold ? Lucky ! Took me 4 tries alone to talk with Josie and the Marquis ![]()
But it didn't stop me from playing ![]()

It got to the point I wanted to throw my pc out of the window. I was annoyed that there was no sort of Autosave between cutscenes. Because nothing like getting to the convo before you get a certain title, then CTD and you get to watch it allllllll over again.
