- Cannot click to move to objects and interact with them, rather constantly have to move character to perform even the simplest actions

- Cannot remap certain functions

- Cannot map functions to certain keys/mbuttons

- Camera does not zoom out enough; not only annoying and impedes tactical play, but literally stops the player from viewing certain objects in the game world

- 'Tactical camera' is essentially a combat-only function

- 'Tactical camera' vert/horiz panning is poorly mapped (does not function like previous games) and as previously mentioned, functions cannot be remapped

- 'Tactical camera' zooming when close up is unlike previous games, behaves oddly, counter-intuitive and annoying

- 'Tactical camera' 'toggle' upon reaching max zoom cannot be turned off/on and is counter-intuitive, irritating, does not function like previous games

- Interaction between pause function and tactical camera is irritating, counter-intuitive, does not function like previous games

- Enemy data is only displayed in tactical mode, no way to view it outside of this mode, forces the use of a mode which does not work in order to view game data

- Cannot easily control party members en masse in any mode, e.g. press one button to select entire party, then order them to retreat

I could write tons more but this is most of what I can remember off the top of my head from my uninstallation date a couple of months ago.  The game has since had a few issues patched, the first patch arrived, what, a month after release?  When most people had completed the game already?

This game's PC controls are an utter joke, and you being 'clueless' about what was and still is wrong with them is beyond my understanding.

Think it's fair to say him being 'clueless' about these things just means he didn't know these things were possible.  He didn't know any better.

At least he's not one of these sarcastic jerks that comes in here and starts belittling people.

Oh wait....

great... so now this has become a flaming exercise about which platform is better. Here is an idea. If you like your platform and you are happy with how this game play's there. Then f-off and go play your game instead of telling the rest of the community why their concerns are not justified.

Personally, I preferred DA2's setup.  Use the mouse to run and turn and left hand for hittin' them spell keys.  Easy.

For me, the controls aren't a huge issue.  When you play a gamut of games you adapt.

Oh, I adapted from DA:O tactical combat to spamming spirit blade... Not that good i have to say. And im going back to play wow. Lesson learned. Bye.

QfT

I stopped playing awhile ago due to the tactical camera. Too frustrating to use unlike origins tac mode. Could put it on easy or normal and play like a mindless 12 year old console owner in action mode but that's not why I got this and that ain't what was advertised to me in the first place.

The level of cheapness from them is absurd but I guess they've had no choice but to cut corners after how bad SWTOR bombed financially for them.

They played this WAY to safe, and in doing so, completely alienated PC users.

Absolutely right. There's plenty of other places for all the little pre-teens to go to whinge, troll and flame about consoles. This here's a place for people who like the game and games on any console.

I've never said they were good controls.  But if you managed at least one playthrough, you adapted and endured, which I did.  I've also only managed one playthrough and likely won't attempt another until/unless things are, if not 'fixed', at least improved.

For the record, I'm not bashing any platform.  Just the poor decisions that led to this nonsense in the first place.

Problem is, to do that you have to talk about platforms and their respective limitations in regards to production and design.

When a studio releases a movie on BluRay, they don't have the French subtitles done by a guy who doesn't know any French.

Bioware made the mistake of thinking nobody would notice they did it backwards, and got caught.

Foreign language subtitle translations are "objectively" off all the damn time.

That review is far from the only one. Exaggeration and vendetta bombing have made Metacritic's user scores increasingly irrelevant.

True enough.  Am I a fan of consoles?  Not particularly.  Are console gamers to blame for lousy ports and cruddy games? About as much as complacency will get'cha.  But the VAST majority of blame goes squarely on the devs and game companies for taking the paths of least resistance and being bloody greedy and lazy.

When a studio releases a movie on BluRay, they don't have the French subtitles done by a guy who doesn't know any French.

Well, Chinese movies have English subs done by people who may have seen the language on a box.  Once.  Those are a form of comedy gold all unto themselves, however.

Bioware made the mistake of thinking nobody would notice they did it backwards, and got caught.

Pretty much.  I can kinda take the stupid glitches (my fave still remains being unable to harvest anything and thus have a hundred side quests pending) and endless crashes and even the never-ending jogging necessary to get anywhere in this game. That will likely be fixed one way or another, someday.

What I'm not a fan of is once again being shat on through blatant marketing lies and then being considered stupid and lazy for not using a thousand workarounds to have a game run that should have done so right out of the box, so to speak - or being browbeaten because I refuse to have an 'Xbox experience' on a gawddamn PC!  I'm not twelve and not know any better. I'm not some casual gaming cretin that has decided to move on from Candy Crush and try something new.  I've been playing on PC since the C-64 days, through the era when bots were competent (and damned deadly) and there were still demos of games (what did happen to those, anyhoo?).

I also remember when the entire stinkin' gaming industry crashed because they got too bloody greedy.  "Too big to fail" is a pipe dream fellas. It's what greedy fookers say just before they get caught with their hand in our pockets. Bear it in mind.

...demos of games (what did happen to those, anyhoo?).

Would have all these angry bunch of people bought the game if there was a demo? No. From EA's point of view its bad. There is your answer. I was thinking of buying the latest simcity because ive seen some videos about older ones and liked the idea of playing that game. After 20 minutes of free demo version provided by EA in Origin i said **** that ****.

Oh, i didnt write anything about patch 2. Well, its not enough, controls are still bad, make tactical more zoomable. Now this is a post containing constructive feedback.

Alright,

We are now overdue for both a Patch (PC exclusive technology fixes) and for some new content.    Where are they Bioware? The maps you added to Multiplayer DO NOT count as content.

You owe us at least an additional 10hrs of gameplay and a polished product at this stage in development.  Overpriced DLC is better than nothing at the moment.

Well, I know why there aren't any demos anymore, but you spelled it out reasonably succinctly.  The last demo I played was for ME3 and...  so... *sigh* ...yeah.  They really don't want to be handing out demos anymore.

Kinda telling, h'aint it?

Making a demo version of the game with modern graphics and technology is too expensive these days, and that money you can give to PR and Marketing people to make the Hype.

The Inquisition demands answers! Leliana has no answers. Josephine's contacts have produced nothing. Iron Bull's Qunari contacts are not not helping. Varric's spyring is too busy going after his greedy publisher and so I ask you...

When is the next patch?

Where are the demos?

We are buying them full price now, and paying for the rest of the game in DLC.

Hell, we are even paying for beta games in Steam Access (and, apparently, some triple A games too).

The Community Manager EA_Nils posted that 9 days ago http://answers.ea.co...214473#U4214473,

"This fix will be included as part of a larger upcoming patch for Dragon Age: Inquisition.

We'll provide more details at a later date, and appreciate your patience."

Let's wait until February ...
