I'm eager to see if the 'Walk' function is available. I REALLY do miss this.
No, there is no fix for the cutscene crashes yet. We have to wait a bit longer I guess. But the patch notes also says it is a collection of bug fixes.

Patch 3 addressed smaller issues other than Performance.
well i was to load save game i notice the bigger cursor but frozed trying access my inventory. but will say 2 months and they yet to fix this issue i bioware but this is getting abit annoying i want to play again

Before everyone rages that the patch didn't fix their problem...how about we actually look at what they said they'd fix in the notes instead of mnidlessly getting angry when you shouldn't have expected them to fix every graphical/lag bug in existence. If they didn't fix something they said they did, then by all means, rage on.

Anyway to start DAI without having to update?.
I dont want the resources fix, i dont want to grind my way through the game again like it was some weak mmo. One time was enough.
/edit nm offline mode did the trick.

Well, the only bug I experienced from that list was Varric's knee bends. Since I'm forced to apply the patch, I'm waiting for confirmation that it didn't break my game.

Okay, so... not only did the armor values on my crafted shields set themselves to 0, but every time I try to craft a new one and then load a save, my shield seems to completely disappear. Anyone else getting this?

Go offline before starting Origin up (disable your LAN or WLAN or pull the plug or whatever)

If all goes wrong install the game from scratch, disable internet and do your stuff before eventually updating?
I see they have disabled the duplicate item glitch ![]()

I just tested it on PC.
Under key binding you can asign a key to the Toggle Walk function. It works perfect for me. You just have to press the key a second time to get back in run mode.

Just did some more testing, and it's the Darkspawn Alpha Shield schematic. As soon as I craft one of those and equip it on my character, it is gone without a trace after I save and load. Really hoping for a quick hotfix for this... I've been pretty lucky so far in terms of avoiding the nasty bugs and gamebreakers others had to contend with, but parts of my inventory randomly disappearing definitely makes me want to take a break until a fix is live.

Shields are now disappearing here too, and toggling walk gets me STUCK walking. No way toggling it off safe for quicksaving/loading.
Did they even Q&A this? I mean, the walk toggle is like, Q&A'd in one bloody second to see if it works. Jeez. This is just getting embarassing.

Patch seems to work fine for me. Played the prologue with a new character, where I had significqant "cutscene hitching" towards the start. Anecdotally, it feels a lot smoother to me now. I never used the 60 FPS workaround before this. Enabling the FPS counter through the console (PerfOverlay.DrawFPS 1) reveals that cutscene framerates are still capped at 30 FPS, but it does seem like it's no longer "locked" at 30 FPS. Previously it seemed that the framerate was locked at 30 FPS either up or down, and if the PC hardware couldn't keep up, animations would start hitching even though the frame rate output by the graphics card was still technically 30 FPS. That seems disabled now, allowing the cutscene FPS to drop below 30 FPS. Sometimes the framerate can drop significantly on my graphics card (an overclocked Radeon R9-270X) but I prefer that to having hitching all over the place.
I do wonder how this might affect the 60 FPS workaround, as it's still applicable since the framerate is still capped at 30 FPS.

I just crafted a 15 armour shield for Cass... the inventory list shows the Firewalker Shield to be 15... no problems at this end.

It's not shields that you crafted after the patch, it's the ones you had before the patch. That, and a specifc one (Darkspawn Alpha shield) randomly disappearing from inventory after save/load.
