Since the newest patch I am getting constant CTDs with no error message.

I am still getting jerk-tastic gameplay every few minutes, and weird periods with no SFX.

 

Good patch guys, Good patch.

 

Funny thing is, vanilla, the game ran just fine!

The game is badly optimized and very unstable. The slightly change in anything can cause all kinds of trouble.

 

The game was running just fine for you, but the patch did make it more stable for others now, God knows why ( for me, for example).

 

It is a mess and it is depressing that this badly put together piece of software can be considered game of the year. Reviewers nowadays play like a fan and simply do not test the game anymore.

Where's my elf-loving forum friend? I keep logging into here to watch his head explode when he realizes that the male elf model wasn't fixed in this patch. I'm looking forward to his reaction more than I am any patches, tbh.

Walk-Toggle with Patch3 now works as designed. I can walk and I can jog. Had to start the game with no runtime parameters..... which sucks....

 

So, Bio, that fix is working for me.

I don't trust 3rd party software, specially when it deals with my data. Be careful. If something's too good to be true... just look at DAI.

So, Bio, that fix is working for me.

 

Imho, the walk toggle is not worth those horrible 30 fps animations.

yeah, I've been using that strategy as well and it works pretty good. Except I set my ranged to defend tank instead of follow. Makes for longer living tank and more dangerous enemies to be killed first.

The problem with defend is that they won't focus fire as well because they'll switch targets based on who is attacking the tank instead of who the tank is attacking. This wouldn't be an issue except that everything should be attacking your tank so they'll switch targets before things are dead based on who happens to be attacking in the moment and you lose efficiency. With follow tank they stick to a target until it is dead before moving on.

So, every time I change my party this happens. I get a message about Blackwalls romance quest being completed (yeah, that was like 100 hours ago)  and this codex entry pops up. Every...time... Doesn't matter on which map or if it's when I leave Skyhold or if I change the party at a camp. It doesn't seem to matter which partymembers I bring either, I have been trying all different kinds of combinations.
It's nothing that breaks the game, but it's really annoying!

 

Anyone else out that with a weird bug like this?

Origin was patched

Dragon Age was patched

 

Still cant access the dragon age servers, continues to tell me to go online with origin, which I am.

 

I paid extra for the digital deluxe version of the game.

So, every time I change my party this happens. I get a message about Blackwalls romance quest being completed (yeah, that was like 100 hours ago)  and this codex entry pops up. Every...time... Doesn't matter on which map or if it's when I leave Skyhold or if I change the party at a camp. It doesn't seem to matter which partymembers I bring either, I have been trying all different kinds of combinations.

Yes, or maybe. When i asked Cullen to talk about his family in Haven i had a random codex entry popping up (Can´t remember what was it about, but certainly had nothing to do with Cullen). Can´t tell if its a bug or was on purpose, but really looks like a bug to me. Other thing is, when i complet some side quests, the label saying the mission is complete pops up over and over and over and over again.

 Yeah, try to mount a camp with some enemies around. You´ll get Hurlocks or Mabari or wolfs wanting to join the Inquisition by biting your ass in the camp.

Yeah, right! It was a freaking poem. Creepy as ****. Also thought the same first, but in that case he coulda recited the poem at least. Lazy lover.

 Is this the new patch thing? Im on ps4 and haven't goten the patch, but have played at least 7 times, and my play threw banter is random. i had one game with okay banter and one with none, and degrees in between that, so not sure the patch broke anything just didn't solve the issue.

 

 

Try going back to  Haven, then speak to everyone and mixup your team then go back to Hinterlands and move around...

 

EDIT: Often, when speaking to your companions, it opens new banter while questing...

 

Tried these and it didn't work. Decided to reroll since the toon was only lvl 5. Now I'm back in the Hinterlands and it's the same thing there. Can't even begin to describe how upset I am right now and really just want to revert to the previous patch.

I was getting that exact Codex pop-up randomly on entering a new map on Patch 2. I was at the same point in the story as you are (With the "The Final Piece" quest prompt on my screen.)

Reposting from the Troubleshooting thread in the hopes that someone can help me.

 

So I discovered by chance that part of my problems with the game are due to a controller being plugged in. 

If I start the game without a controller (I have a Gamestop xbox 360 controller installed on my pc) the game runs fine. If I use the controller, the game stutters. 

This did not happen before patches 2 and 3. I don't know what changed, but I hate playing without a controller. What can I do?

A post in the multiplayer forum explained that the current fixes are only partial (they solve some of the cases, but it won't be truly fixed until the next patch).

I doubt the console releases for Patch 3 will be any different than the PC version.
