I used Eusing's Registry Cleaner, that's the one I prefer and, it is free as well but does have a beg screen you need to skip if you don't wish to donate to Eusing. Before uninstalling, I copied the document/bioware/dragon age inquisition/saves folder to my desktop, uninstalled deleted the original documents folder, ran the cleaner, rebooted, downloaded and installed the game then MERGED my old saves from my desktop with the newly created saves folder.

 

Did this, this, the last thing i wanted to do. I´m out of town for a month or so, and now i´m downloading the game... at 100 Kb/s. For **** sake now i gotta wait for... 3 days, 4? for the game. If i still have the bug or other issues after that... Meh, pointless to get angry at this point. Better go out and get some fresh air. Thanks for the tip tho, the program looks very usefull. 

 

 

 

Okay, I just downloaded this latest update, and now my game will not even run. I click "Play" via Origin, the screen goes black as if DAI is about to start, but then I go back to the desktop.

 

Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do?! I've already restarted my computer. Still doesn't work.

 

Did you tried to play on Windowed screen, low graphics, etc? Also, try to start it with Origin offline.

A graphics card reserved for high end artistry and 3d rig building that only cost 5000 dollars 8 months ago

Too late, someone suggested I try reinstalling the game... so I'm doing that now >.< That'll take a few hours. 

 

Shait, sorry. I´m in the same situation tho, the difference is that i´m out of town and here we have a stinky bandwidth, so i´m downloading at 100 KB/s   That´ll take some days   (I´m crying inside)

Have you tried the repair option in Origin?

Maybe try running Origin offline

For people experiencing issues with walk toggle, try clearing your command line to remove the 60fps framerate "fix" (-GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60+). Removing this item should stop the issue.

If you aren't using any command line workarounds and are experiencing this issue, please let us know.

 

Just throwing this out there. I do not get a walk/run toggle; I am running a fully updated vanilla PC DA:I, no command line arguments, no mods.

I wish i could stay awake for mine to finish, but, you know, 2 or 3 days with lack of sleep... Let me know if it worked for you when is done. And yeah, it sucks, a lot, the only good thing i can imagine about it is that they´r collecting info to solve the issue-s. Cool and all, but they could at least say it if that´s the case. Is in the EA tech thread, not a whisper from BW. In the theoretical scenario, wich is they are doing something, we should be told how long is gonna take them, or some **** like that. SOMETHING. Buuut... Silence.

Remove the command line argument (30 FPS fix) and you will be able to toggle run/walk.

 

As for it not being listed at all in keybinds, Never heard of that except when using the Nexus Mod manager but, you say no mods. Try repairing the game.

The best thing you can do with Origin is delete it. Origin as the blight, even Coryphyshit stopped using it,

Hey I'm a fan, too! I've loved every game I've played... even DA2 and ME3 (my favorites, actually). However I made the switch to PC for DAI (previously an xbox player) and boy am I regretting it.

 

Anyway, bad news... I uninstalled and reinstalled, and the problem persists. I even selected "repair" via Origin and still nothing. Just last week (1/19) I was playing the game just fine.

 

But today I downloaded the patch and suddenly my game will not even launch.

 

Just some response, BioWare. Someone, anyone. Here or your tech support page (where numerous others report the same issue). Please. We are loyal fans; please do not treat us like this!

Repairing the game fixed it.

Thanks for the patch, I really appreciate it. Seems like I finally can continue to play the game without raging about dying while trying to revive again and again.

 

Now all I miss is a senseful skillbar at the bottom of the screen so PC players are able to actually bind the skills they want to use.

It is a shame for a company that big and famous to use a console-optimated UI for PC. Especially after the first(!) Dragon Age game did it right.

 

I do not understand how features that already had been there can just vanish.

Is anyone else getting CTDs when trying to enter the War Room at Skyhold after patch 3? Never happened to me before, but now it occurs with disturbing regularity... Another bug introduced by the patch, or just coincidence?

1. Talk to Microsoft/Sony about their unnecessarily long process for deploying patches.

 

2. Have you learned nothing from PC users about rushing out patches? You really that eager to trade out one bug for several worse because of a rushed patch dev cycle?
