Is the patch out yet, and if so what does it fix? Or do we have wait like another month?
No. No changelog yet. Probably not.

Can't wait for the patch, I'm getting real tired of the CTD thing during cutscenes.
Yes, I paid for this game and yes the crashing and other bugs are annoying, but some people are acting like Bioware stole the soul of their first born son. Tis not the first game to have bugs. *flashbacks of unkillable dragons flying backwards and mammoths falling from the sky*
Thanks for working to fix it and listening to your fans Bioware!
Or its a clear sign how braindead gamers have become to expect ever more complex and huge games to be patched in 10 seconds flat without even the remotest clue how much work is involved and that these things also need to be tested and reproduced and then resolved correctly.
Oh wait, sorry, did I just call you entitled? My bad.
Nope. 22 pages of people making excuses, first bioware employees had to get to work. Now we have to wait for them to get back from their lunch break in 3 hours.
Don't forget the extra hour or so of greetings and gossip around the water cooler!

Patch notes will be out in 90 minutes or so.

There are some bugs that should have been fixed ages ago.

Agreed. Bioware themselves admitted that implementing the jump button in the game basically took more man hours than the worldwide research in Quantum Electrodynamics. Then confidential sources tell me that John Carmack just tweeted them the answer.

My will is iron and my roots reach the pools of Elvhenan.
I'm encouraging discussion. In previous posts I were more descriptive. In fact all I'm doing is subtle linking to a very important thread concerning all those who wish to play male elves. As some sages of tumblr said "please don't minimalise my experiences". We elf players wish to enjoy the games we have bought. It would be kind of you to accept small links related to the posts.
You don't see people with far more severe issues. Like the game getting completely stuck during dialogue. Plugging their threads.
You're being a nuisance. If people care to discuss the problem they will go to your thread of their own accord. Constantly saying 'Hey guys, go look at my thread !' Is incredibly childish and annoying.
Stay strong Broken Elf Arm Guy Stay Strong
I played a bit with the 360 patch and.... I'd say that now the party banter triggers TOO often. I had Varric and Cassandra have three conversations literally back to back, the finished one and literally a few seconds later they started the next. I was by the Redcliffe farms at the time. It's good to have conversations, but not if they're going to burn through every possible conversation in a few minutes.
Why can't we have a proper patchnotes while we're waiting for the patch again?

Don't know why they just didn't put points that trigger it like in DAO?DA2...

Maybe it triggered the ones before the fix, the ones you have missed? I fixed the issue by playing in offline mode and heard many dialogues in 30 mins, like yourself.

Well guess what? BioWare is patching them! Who'da thunk it?

Yes, I don't see them. They lack dedication.
It is not an advertisement of 'my thread' but spreading awareness of a horrible, devouring issue!
Does anyone know how I check what version I have on PC? I have origin running in the background on my PC and I just realized I have no way to tell when / if it downloaded the patch or even how to see what version I have.

I would totally see the movie "Broke Nel - Farm Guy"
Go drink a glass of warm milk, Che.
No kidding, who the hell says nonsense like that ?

It seems the first patch was a mandatory download on activation, so everyone has that.
And no one has the next one, because it hasn't been released yet.
You can see the version number by looking at your Programs and Features list in the control panel. It will be 1.0.0.1.
You can see the build number by opening version.json (a text file) which you will find in your install folder. It will be 856038.
Today we salute you, Mr. Broken Arms Elf Man(Mr. Broken Arms Elf Man!)Only you understand the power of thread views(20,000 views and counting!)One bug has the power to totally destroy this game and you want everyone to know it(I can't even start it!)7 other combinations? Not for this player.(What is a dwarf?)So crack open an ice cold Bud Light, Announcer of the Noodle-arms. It's the only thing you can do while you wait for a patch.
This post makes me sad. Not because it is bad (on the contrary, it is awesome!), but because not enough people will ever know that it exists.

Ok, now I'm convinced you're just a troll.
I played through the whole game as an Elf mage. The arm clipping was a little annoying. But it's certainly nothing game-breaking. I'd argue it's one of the more minor issues I've seen.
Please stop spreading your hate. You paid for this game and remember this is a video game NOTHING is perfect. You buying
games with knowing this. Shut up and enjoy the game while patch comes
If they really did fix the problem of audio not playing, conversations hanging, and lines having to be skipped to progress, then I'm happy. It was the most serious bug. I had it happen the most in the main quest in the Western Approach. A MAIN QUEST. And I missed most of what was said because I was forced to skip the entire conversation to not be stuck. I actually restarted playing just because of that, hoping there'd be a patch before I reach that point again since I didn't want to continue without that context, and there was a patch.
It is coming soon, very soon...
