Sure. They could just abandon attempting to fix the bugs and various lack luster implementations...and consequently suffer a blow to their reputation causing loss of future earnings. Once bitten, twice shy. Bioware is a business, it's not like they do it out of the goodness of their own hearts. They've taken money in advance for what many see as a faulty product. I've been a fan of Bioware since Baldur's Gate and still think Bioware makes great games for the most part, but their recent policy regarding customer/fan-base interaction leaves a lot to be desired. It's like they totally lost their ability to use the keyboard.

Inquisition doesn't require a keyboard. (I know it's a jab, but Dude... I seriously feel the same way.)
Yes, of course I do. Everytime Conal has posted something about patch notes or progress you'll notice most of the people who reply directly (including me) do it this way: we thank him for communicating, we comment the fixes as positive and ask when next patch will come. Few people are beligerant towards him, who has the guts and takes the time to talk to us.
Then you'll see the rest of posts are of the forum users commenting on bugs, making jokes, some rants... But honestly do you think that's the cause for the lack of interaction? I've tweeted respectful questions to Mike, Mark and Bioware about the game controls. 0 replies. The only tweets they reply are 'u guy are awesome, love the game'. This is not us bullying them, it's them ignoring the problems. Any personal attack is out of place, but jokes or critics as long as they're civil is reasonable.
Pierse is paid for posting. That doesn't require guts. Among five hundred posts, only one is made by an employer of BW/EA. And this is happening 'cause they know they released a beta version completely untested.

Agreed. Even so he's the only one to engage. You can bet if this forum was full of appraisal Mike, Mark and others would be here quite often. You know, it would be their duty and responsibility.
Yeah, there was a lot of interection with the devs before release. Now just silence. Tells much about them
nope
i have the banter bug
party members wont even chat in new areas
Not your post. The post prior to yours, full of unnecessary thanks. Sorry, but I thought she would also be quoted.

Trying to destroy their reputation allright.

That's the most frustrating aspect of the whole thing. Prior to the game's launch you couldn't spit without hitting a developer, but now that the game is out they try the old "but you're meanie-faces" routine? It's a complete lack of respect for the customer. What a load of cowards.
I agree, them being in the forums like they were gave me hope. "They are so open an honest, they are telling/showing us so much, they must be proud of this game."
And now they are all gone.
I really hope it's because they are working hard on fixing the game and not because they simply don't care anymore now that people has payed for the game...beause I really want Bioware to be the company that cares about their customers (fans), even if all evidence points to the opposite by now ![]()

I hope you're right.
Played the game with patch 3 for about four hours yesterday and everything works fine except that to make the walk toggle actually "toggle," like from run to walk and then back to run, I had to remove the startup code that forced cutscenes to 60fps. Not a big deal to me ... turns out I got so used to running on my first full play through that now on my second, I still just run and don't really care to walk. ![]()
Also, something I have never seen in my previous play through ...
I swear that on half of my fights since patch three, when I pause the game and go to tactical camera and then do a simple "basic attack" on an enemy, my *controlled* character not only does that attack but also keeps on auto attacking ... ??? ... I never once saw my controlled/selected character ever auto attack in my first play through and prior to this second play through; I always had to manually attack with the controlled character, no matter which it was.
Also, banter works fine ... I've spent some time in Crestwood with a completely different party than I played with first time through ... this time using Blackwall, Vivienne and Dorian and they didn't say a peep for about 45 minutes, then out of nowhere started gabbing like socialites. Cool to here new dialogue outside of Cassandra/Sera/Solas (my first main party) ...
But the auto attack thing is interesting ... doesn't happen all the time but it does about half the time ...
??

Yeah, after the holidays they went straight to hard work... at PAX.

auto attack worked in tactical mode since release
Is anyone else getting CTDs when trying to enter the War Room at Skyhold after patch 3? Never happened to me before, but now it occurs with disturbing regularity... Another bug introduced by the patch, or just coincidence?
Been getting them since patch 2.
Was kinda hoping they'd been resolved......seems to not be the case - which is annoying.
Found the crashes to be a game breaker tbh , haven't played the game since.

Well he said this on old gen thread: "Please note that the BSN does not offer troubleshooting services (apart from the help other people here kindly offer). Our devs come here on a volunteer basis to interact with fans and share stories with them, rather than to provide official support." http://forum.bioware...ues/?p=18111087
So to me that volunteer thing would mean that they aren't paid from posting here and that's probaply reason why you don't often see devs here.
What heppened to tier 3 metals? Now I can only get single material. So ****** tedious.

i think ubisoft would like a word with you on that subject since ubi seem to be the king of releasing games that are broken, at least bioware is doing something about it to better degree than ubisoft is and i been fan of there games just as long as you been i havent seena decline is any there games, although da2 was rather fast development and me3 was mangled and fixed after ea said no to giving them more money to fix mass effect 3 story and ending and such.
but overall EA/BioWare are doing better in their fixing of bugs and problems faster than Ubi is doing

Haven't Ubisoft been cranking out patches for Unity?
auto attack worked in tactical mode since release
I know all the party members not being controlled by the player auto attack ... but I didn't think the character that you were actively controlling would auto attack, though... seems I always had to click on my directive/opponent to initiate an attack ...
Oh well ... beside the point ... prefer that my main controlled character doesn't auto attack to tell you the truth ...
pouf

They are still paid? Good for them.
If they had released a damn tool set all of these problems would have been solved by now.
Okay, to anyone else unable to launch the game, I finally got it to work. If you have Win 8.1 this might work for you, too.
I just went in and uninstalled most of the January Windows Updates. I can't say exactly which one is the culprit, but I got about halfway through the list of January Updates before deciding to just restart my computer and see if the game would start. And it did.
So to anyone who is unable to launch the game after downloading Patch 3, go into your Windows Updates and uninstall some of the January updates.
