Hi,

I've read back a few pages and can't see anything similar, but would be good to know if this is happening to anyone else.  

I'm playing basic DA:I (no mods, fully patched) on a custom built computer (capable of running at highest settings).  Up until now I've had no issues whatsoever, but since the patch (not saying it is the patch, but that was when it started happening) I'm now having issues with cutscenes.  I have a SSD so loading times have been really quick up till now.  

One example is at Halamshiral; when I tried to return to the ballroom from the vestibule on the second bell, the screen would fade to black and the DA:I logo start to swirl in the background, but nothing would happen for around a minute, to the point where I would get the message dropping my court approval for being late.  Then, when it finally did kick in, it would sent me back to the vestibule (not the ball room, or as it should have been the cutscene with Morrigan) where I would be unable to interact with anything.  

It also did something similar with the judgement of Florianne afterwards - I tried to sit in the throne, but then after a minute or so loading I was placed back in the great hall with Josephine, Florianne and all the courtiers standing around, unable to interact.  

Is this a known patch issue or something else?  Any advice much appreciated.

My origin just started downloading an update for the game, but I already have patch 3 installed. Does that mean they fixed the patch now and it is downloading it again? The download size is 70.82MB, I don't remember exactly the size of patch 3 but i think was similar to that.

Anyone know what it is?

Yeah, my game is updating right now. Wonder what it is? Patch 4 already, or a hotfix to adress some patch 3 problems? It'd be nice to get some sort of info on these sorts of things, but aside from this forum, don't know where to look, and haven't seen anything on this forum on this new update.

The 100% stuck and black screen are actually the Victory Chest. Enjoy!

Did you mod the game? If so you need to open the package.mft in your merged folder with notepad and change the version from 5 to 6

 

EDIT: So wrong, you just need to recompile your mods with the latest mod manager and patch

Yep, getting a new patch now, seems the same size as patch 3, so I'm guessing this is patch 3 with hotfix. 

 

Maybe shieldfix?

I'm still stuck at 100% with 70.82/70.82 completed and downloading at an astronomically high speed of 1 KB/s.

Could be that the patch is larger than those 70.82MB?

My patcher froze at 81%, downloading approximately 70mb like all of you. Rebooted Origin, and now it's downloading 133mb, and I'm frozen on a wooping 41% and "resume" (which doesn't seem to happen). Anyone else stuck like that?

 

Edit: never mind, back to the 70MB one, and foreverstuckandalone at 1%, what a dance it is today :S

Whatever you do, don't try anything to make it faster... Everything I have done... Restarting PC... Origin... Pausing/unpausing download... Has resulted in starting over from 0%.

What does it entail and why isn't there a post from Bioware explaining the details of this so-called patch? Really, is it just laziness or sheer incompetence.
