Whatever you do, don't try anything to make it faster... Everything I have done... Restarting PC... Origin... Pausing/unpausing download... Has resulted in starting over from 0%.
Too late, I already restarted origin and now it says "Resuming update" and 66.85/133.64MB and it won't resume at all

I get slightly more stutters in gameplay in both graphics and sound. Cutscenes still stutter. Runing a Zotac 750Ti.

Patching worked fine for me, crafted shields are fixed. This is just a hotfix for patch 3, so patch 3 notes apply (for realz this time!)

This is exactly what is happening here
I'm forced into an Origin restart because I keep getting "download failed". Come on BioWare, what's going on :|

Patch seems to be about 91.96 MB. Downloaded pretty quick for me until 95%, now speed died down to about 11-30kb/s. My inner optimist is getting a revived, just a little. Let's see if he gets crushed again.

Would have been nice if they had announced the hotfix thooo. And what it actually fixes.

Problems with the patch downloads becoming stuck are often an origin issue. If exiting and logging into origin doesn't resume downloads at normal speeds you might need to delete the origin folders in the 'program data' directory on the windows drive which should be C and also in the app data directories under local and I believe roaming. then use something like ccleaner or auslogics or any other cleaner and log back into origin and let it rescan your games or update itself if needed and blah blah. they have a guide on how to 'clean' origin for that or other issues. it did help me once when downloads were being stuck. most other times I just needed to log back into origin though.
I also downloaded the patch, though I seemed to be having no issues with patch 3. I actually lost the stuttering almost altogether with no changes to hardware or settings strangely. only other games installed and uninstalled, so possibly some redistributable affected it for me but in that case I'd wonder why it wouldn't have been included with this game. anyways though, I downloaded this that I assume to be the hotfix for patch 3 knowing full well what the hotfix for patch 2 did to me so it'll be my fault alone if it borks the game I reckon. But dying light unlocks at 3 am (for me) and I have it preloaded so it's all good.
Edit- the patch for me was around 70 mb. and others seem to say the same. I saw someone mention it around 90 mb for them. either they did not download patch 3 first, so some files the hotfix may replace were included in a merged download or they should have origin scan and repair the game to check if anything is wrong with some of their files. or if any are missing.

I just hope it won't become a habit with Bioware to release a hotfix after each patch

Now it restarted entirely and it is downloading again at 1KB/s.
I give up, I'll download it tomorrow.

Schrödinger's patch: until the patch notes release it's both a good and a bad patch

I've just downloaded it and installed it without problems.

It's not even remotely about being spoiled on new technology.
I'm getting download speeds from 1998. There no reason why 70 MB should take 20 hours to download.

Well mine downloaded, updated, and installed in around 3 minutes total. Go figure.

I had a slowdown in speed too, towards the end. Waited about five minutes after it said 100%. After I started the game from a save at Skyhold, the area loaded with missing textures. In fact, the screen was mostly white. Luckily, after a few seconds they started loading and things seem to running okay at the moment.

Yeah, it jumps to 100% after 70 MB but there is 133MB if you click play so, the meter is a bit off on this one.

OK - loading took longer after the hotfix.
Crafted shields displayed the correct armour rating - good.
Shield armour rating still appeared to be subtracted from Front Armour rather than added - bad.
After equipping a found shield this cleared. Interestingly it seems my Front Armour rating was being correctly displayed all along - for some reason my base Armour Rating had 2x my shield armour rating added to it. Swapping in a found shield fixed this and now my crafted shield gives the expected results. Good times.
