Howdy All:

After applying the patch, I loaded up the game and went right to check my stats.

The one thing I noticed was with the regional total for Exalted Plains was at 20/21. Now after the patch it's 21/21.

So there is a fix that the patch did. lol

Later...

A patch and no patchnotes. I don't get it. First this public relations meltdown and now this. What exactly is Bioware, a multi million dollar company or a shack in the woods of Canada? -.-

A big luxury shack.

Hmm, I found notes too but, the ones I found are different.

Nothing has changed. We replaced a few dots with periods in some of the closed captioning.

Broke the fix that was not working as expected.

Added one pixel to each Dwarf and Qunari armor as well as tho male elf arm. Don't worry, things still look the same.

Oh and for some, we also buggered up the download so that it says 70MB but stalls, then says 133 MB but that won't work either. It's 236MB and you should use repair game to install this patch.

But seriously, the crafted shield bug does seem to be fixed, that's all I've seen so far.

You're saying the patch from today was supposed to be 200ish MB? I got only 91 MB.  I am doing a repair now, and i am just bewildered as to how something so bizarrely stupid can happen...

Always run a repair after a patch. Because the patching system in Origin is simply unreliable to say the least

Totally agree, I too always run a repair after a patch. t's a practice I started and It seemed to work with Crapcity 5..errrr i keep calling it that sorry, meant Simcity 5. Fyi I'd love to start a banish ea as a publisher from all our favorite games. They should stick to what they know best....spewing out slightly altered versions of the same games over and over(fifa/madden etc etc and al that crap) cause they have no clue how to run/publish anything else, and having all their puppet assets use EA customer service(the joke of the century) is so lame. But that's just a vent for another time and place lest I get the ban hammer tossed at my face.

Well i repaired twice in succession now. Sitting in the Hinterlands motionless to test if magical banter appears. Inb4 i will indeed be disappointed, i know.

PS. I swear to god i dont get this upset about people in real life not talking to me, what the flipping flippity flip is this?!

The thread starts with the patchnotes of the "Upcoming Patch 3 for PC", they haven't even edited the post to reflect the patch has been live for a week. So.. a shack? :P

They're considered the same thing over there.

Found them after a bit of digging

Patch 1.33.7:

  • Fixed an issue that caused a fix to break a fix that fixed said fix
  • Inquisitor's bedroom replaced with the Bioware® GOTY trophy room
  • Doritos®  available for purchase in the tavern (Mountain Dew® will be available in a future patch)

lol Pew pew!

This is undoubtedly the hot fix for the issue with crafted shields. Mark noted last week that they were looking to get an update out for it ASAP.

You're saying the patch from today was supposed to be 200ish MB? I got only 91 MB.  I am doing a repair now, and i am just bewildered as to how something so bizarrely stupid can happen...

The patch size will depend on your installation and the analysis that Origin does when determining what updates you need.

The version after installing will be 1.0.0.5. That's the only number you need to care about.

Can't remove weapon upgrades anymore!

Are you sure your inventory isn't full? You can't remove upgrades if you're at or above the limit (the interface doesn't tell you this at all, of course).

Can anyone tell me how to revert back to patch 2? While it wasn't perfect, at least I had banter and didn't really have many issues.

Or could someone tell me a fix they tried that got them to have banter back? I've tried clean installing, repairing, even started anew game to see if that was what it was, but still no change. I really can't stand how silent everything is lol.

Same here, just noticed it. ^^

Can't remove weapon upgrades anymore!

Got a patch today with *no patch notes* on website (as of this writing).

After downloading, patching, and playing the game it turns out that weapon upgrades can no longer be removed.  They can still be replaced but once an upgrade is installed you can no longer remove that upgrade and place it in another weapon unless you replace it with a different upgrade in the weapon you're removing it from.

Question for devs: Is this intended or is it a new bug?

I just tested this and cannot confirm it.

Remember: You need to click on the button "Remove Upgrade". Double-Clicking the upgrade does not remove it.

Oops.  Yes it was a full inventory.  Nevermind.

Go to C:/ Program files (x86)/Origin Games/Dragon Age Inquisition/_Installer and there double click on the Internet Explorer file called installerdata.xml

Just checked, and it is a new patch, since it says <gameVersion version="1.0.0.5"/>

All files in the original retail release are all dated 28-10-2014.
Patch 2 are dated 09-12-2014.
Patch 3 is dated 01-07-2015.

You can also just check in Programs and Features (in the Windows control panel).

If everything installed correctly, it should show you the proper version number.

So, everyone confirms that is the 1.0.0.5 version? Why they are so quiet about it? Dafuq

They always increment the version number (the Patch 2 hot fix was 1.0.0.3).

I imagine it's less of a priority because the issues were relatively minor and only just introduced with the last patch. It doesn't add anything new.
