They always increment the version number (the Patch 2 hot fix was 1.0.0.3).

I imagine it's less of a priority because the issues were relatively minor and only just introduced with the last patch. It doesn't add anything new.

Shait, so nothing new on the horizon. Too bad.

So, everyone confirms that is the 1.0.0.5 version? Why they are so quiet about it? Dafuq

Because their public relations department is a mess, that's why. ;)

@Mike_Laidlaw I don't know if you noticed or not. But a lot of us are asking for a fix to the directx crash that can make DA:I unplayable

@Satyr000 I have seen the reports, and I know it’s still being investigated.

Well i repaired twice in succession now. Sitting in the Hinterlands motionless to test if magical banter appears. Inb4 i will indeed be disappointed, i know.

PS. I swear to god i dont get this upset about people in real life not talking to me, what the flipping flippity flip is this?!

I bet you also don't pay money for people to talk to you irl...right there is the issue I think. We paid for banter (because that is a huge part of what a DA game is about, no?) and got...No Banter.

Being pissed about not getting what you paid for is perfectly understandable methinks. I know I am.

Just had a glance at my old saves.

  • Frame rate is the same. No stuttering while Origin is set to Offline.
  • CTD while opening the inventory screen.
  • CTD while accessing the vendor.
  • CTD while setting Iron Bull's skill points.
  • CTD while using the skill reset necklace.

Pretty much what I've been seeing since the patch 2. I wonder what did they fix with this patch... I did not create a new game though, maybe the results are different.

When allocating skill point, never get 2 new abilities at once, before pressing "apply"..  Allocate 1 point, and "apply".. Its slower, but it keeps it from crashing..

Taking passives doesnt seem to crash it, only when you take new On use Abilties.. Ive taken as many as 3 passives, and 1 ability with no CTD.. But when taking 2 or more abilities, it always CTD 2-3 secodns after clicking "apply"..

Hope this helps you

Still very much happening.. Perhaps you should have persisted with some "Quality Assurance" prior to shoveling out your product to millions of awaiting suckers... Er, i mean, fans..

I've been a BioWare fan since forever ago but I have never in my life seen a company stoop to the levels of releasing a patch without taking the 5 measly minutes it takes to write the patch notes down, this is really disappointing.

So I just turn Origin (with its new update) and saw there is an update for DAI. 91.94 MB. I got the 3rd Patch on the day of its release, so what is this? :o Some hotfix?

You know what's silly here? I work for a software company where we add moderated twitter feeds to some of our software solutions. If EA/BW are going to insist on only talking to people via Twitter, why not ad these feeds to their bloody forum so we can see what's being said?

Ahh good old Monday. There was a patch with no notes, is that right? Are patches now running "silent"? If yes to the last question could you "silently" "patch" the following for PC:

@Bioware

Some things I hope to see in patch 4:

* Mouse click to move to items (loot)
* Auto-attack :wizard:
* Select all party members (shift + mouse click on portraits)
* Move tactical camera with mouse on screen edge
* Fully customizable quickbar (as in Origins), so I can hide buttons I don't need, such as the Hourglass, Hold, Attack, etc.
* Option to hide the minimap
* Better overview of our inventory

Throw in an Elf arms fix for the heck of it. Many thanks ahead of time.

seems to be, but no patch notes anywhere.

Guess they felt that they don't even need to give us notes at this point lmao. Ridiculous.

I'm just returning from putting about 45 minutes in after this silent patch.  I also don't use twitter, facebook, and other social media so I really wish they would communicate through forum channels.

Issues that seem to be resolved:

*The crafted shield bug  seems to be fixed.

*I think this is just a placebo effect but game seems to be loading a bit faster and running smoother.

*My party banter has returned but once again because it seems to be so random on when it wants to fire off, I'm uncertain on if it's fixed. I did get 3 party banters in the 45 minutes I played. It took place in Hissing Wastes with Sera, Blackwall, and Dorian.

*I actually got some environmental sounds and some background music without it breaking up which was really nice.

I think that's about it though.

Maybe, fixes for next patch:

elf proportions especially their arms

Qunari animations

audio glitching

mouse/keyboard changes/hotkeys/UI

Directx related issues

crash to desktop no error issues.

P.S  My laptop also doesn't sound like it's about to take off into outer space with the silent patch which is good because I was getting concerned.

I paid well for a crap game... but anyway im having my fun.

You see a patch, to fix a bug, introduced by a fix, that fix other bug, and the hotfix for the last bug breaks the first.

Seriously, when im developing software alone, under pressure, those things do happen eventually - customer wants things for yesterday, and i cant get any help, so sometimes you need to fix and pray, but EA, do you have one developer working? Do you not have any tester? I think you probably can pay for some trainee or any teenager do at least some basic testing..

Get you **** together EA

Hi

I'd really like an option to customize my character after the intro sequence (the character looks different in different settings, light etc.).

There's also the problem when some enemies don't die - for example a giant in the castle in Emprise du Lion, undead in the swamps. The only fix to this is to go away and when you're far enough you get xp and loot will spawn where the enemy was last standing (fortunately they freeze after death and don't attack you on god mode).

There were some funny poses from the inquisitor himself. Sometimes an npc will walk right in you and move you away from the npc you're talking to, causing the inquisitor either to end the conversation or making him/her stand on his/her legs at 45 degrees. It gave me some laughs when I first saw it.

There's also a bug in the Undercroft chest. After acquiring the (DLC??? I was given a code by the cashier for 1 grosz - equivalent of 1/3 US cent) armor set the marker will reappear every time you return.

In some cut scenes (for example the one with the Iron Bull, where you meet his company) female elf has some clipping, meaning the hand goes through her thigh etc.

My second playthrough was with an archer and boy, there are so many messed up animations, or wrong animations. And this happens a lot. The Inquisitor aims somewhere else and not at the enemy, often skills like long shot, chain reaction or full draw animations don't load (this also happens with Sera).

There's also a bug in the Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts mission. If you have Dorian with you and he has the Necromancer skill (don't remember the name) to make the enemies fight for you after their death, they sometimes don't die when their ghostly lives are depleted, and this caused the Harlequin not to show up, blocking the main quest. Had to go into options and make allies vulnerable to my attacks.

Other than that it's a great game. Love it more than Origins, or the mediocre second installment. Now I want tons of DLC, and I mean Citadel/Omega/Leviathan kind of DLC. More about Corypheus, more personal quests (some team members had little or no quests - Vivienne), and something like an add-on, like the Awakening. That'd be much appreciated. And more astrariums too!

And we upgraded that castle for something - maybe a battle in the upcoming dlc?

I loved the Mass Effect franchise. Never cared much for fantasy. This game changed it. I want more, now!

Uhh.. They did release the patch notes, before they released the patch. Best part is it doesn't even take 5 measly minutes to google them.

They released patch notes for patch 3 yes, not for the patch we got today which was AFTER patch 3. Nothing in the blog about it at all, nothing here. Sure we can figure it out but, we shouldn't have to, it would help to kn ow what was supposed to be fixed so we could check if it worked.

So please provide a link to explanation of this 70MB download. I'm too stupid to be able to find it even in 1 hour.

No not for the latest hot fix that came out today.

Plus patch 3's notes had some fixes that weren't documented (many detonator abilities were fixed), which is great that they were fixed, but no notes.

The patch notes are in the first post of the thread: called upcoming patch 3 for PC.

There's no note that there has been a hotfix for that patch. Of course that doesn't change the patch notes, but it would be a welcome thing and perhaps would confuse people less who suddenly have Origin downloading and installing a patch.

There's also no note that this patch 3 has been live since a week ago.

No need to involve google. Just press the page 1 button.

I lost audio from this little song in camp after surviving avalanche. Can someone check it out to see if it's caused by this 70MB load of crap?

Noises of storm and subtitles are present, just no song.

Yeah, archer boy anmiations are pretty bad but this does not take away from the awesomeness, dont worry. Its a nice thing you can buy cosmetic updates for skyhold in preparation for the awaited DLC when you finally get use some of it. Origins was not so good, its a nice change what they did with Inquisition so now everyone will buy it and enjoy it even those wo did not like fantasy at all before. I jush wish we had more guns in the game. But those archer boy animations... they really need to do something with it. And I dont think they should just settle with adding more astrariums. More shards, banners, rifts, bottles and camps with those DLC-s!

Since this patch today I cannot get the game to run without crashing.  I get the blue screen of death with references to memory problems, another type of sudden crash to desktop, and the last time I tried to start it up it would not start giving me some message about invalid license. <lol>  What now?

Are they ever going to fix the Qunari archer animation problems?
