I only have two questions.

Running this with an i5-4670 Processor and a Gtx 760 MSI 2GB TF OC using the latest drivers and no current PC problems.

Will I be able to get a steady FPS at 60 even if I use lower settings? Currently I get 18 FPS on even the lowest settings.

Will the game stop crashing randomly all the damn time to the point I am 100% unable to play it? Literally every 5 minutes if that.

Have you fixed these two problems? If you can tell me these 2 problems have been definitively fixed, I will re-purchase the game.

Just two questions how do we know when the patches are ready to install?

Second question is the patch going to have a fix for NVIDIA GTX 660 graphics card Freezing?

I can only play for about 5 to 10 minutes and the game freezes and I get a message  Directx function fault.  the main part of the message is "THE APPLICATION  DEVICE FAILED DUE TO BADLY FORMED COMMANDS SENT BY THE APPLICATION.  THIS IS A DESIGN - TIME ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED AND FIXED"

I have mentioned this problem on a couple places in the forum and no reply or help from BioWare only some suggestions from other gamers, which I have tried before I came to the forum for help.  I should also mention I have about 50 hours into the game, when I first started playing it only happened once of twice a day, the further I got into the game the worse it got   I don't play the game anymore for fear that I am doing damage to my computer.  I am sure there are thousands of people who have the same graphics card as me, and are have this problem.  I should mention I am playing on a PC and I was using a Microsoft controller which I have been using on other games for a while with no problems.  Just in case that was causing the problem I started using the keyboard and mouse.  It made no difference.

How do I download the patch when it is ready and will there be a notice.  I purchased the game through Origin if that makes any difference.

Great news, hope it goes well.

And a little thing to ask, I hope it's not putting down your efforts in the patch, but is there any news on a storage chest or something similar? I've been looking forward to play again but with the amount of unique gear I picked up I ran out of inventory space quickly, haha.

One of my biggest issues is the loading times. It probably won't be fixed in Patch 2, but I do hope it is addressed in the near future. Or else I'll have to try to fit space on my SSD :S.

Anyway, cool.

I will be thankful... if the patches work.

Personally, I think celebrations are a bit premature, although kudos for them working on making the game... less buggy and more usable. I won't hold my breath, but I will watch.

I'm sure you will hear a lot of this, but THANK YOU! It's nice to hear that you've been listening and intend on supporting DAI properly. It's great to hear that you've taken the PC-user concerns about controls to heart and that you hope to provide improvements beyond basic bug-fixes. That's good customer relations and good support and we appreciate it.

Why didn we get this kind of post a week ago? It would quiet down the fanbase at least. The silence just made everyone be on adge.

Better late than never I guess, but you guess could have saved yourself a lot of angry comments by just keeping the community updated. This post eased my own frustration and gives me hope that I will be able to finish and enjoy replaying the game.

Consumer trust is hard earned and easily lost think about that next time please. It sucks that you have to release a game that isn't finished, but the least you guy's can do is not to keep us in the dark. It's not an unreasonable request to get regular updates on the matter and I think people would be a lot more forgiven if they were informed of the situation. If the silence was  due to "damage control" then I think instead of calming down people it had the opposite effect. There will always be unreasonable people who will be a-holes just because they can but that doesn't excuse the lack of information to us concerned fans who really want nothing more than to play your games.

I own and love almost all of your previous games and I want to love this game, I want to love Bioware but sometimes you make it a bit hard.

It's better to say nothing than to make promises you cannot keep. I imagine that they either knew what they wanted fixed but didn't know how long it'd take and therefore couldn't say anything, or they knew they'd patch something by know but had no idea what would actually make it until very near the deadline. If they had promised to fix something and then changed their minds people would have gone nuts.

Just look at the Internet; whenever a game developer shows something or says something that they, for one reason or another, cannot deliver (perhaps it didn't work properly, etc) the Internet flies into an outrage because promised. Even if the statement was labled with "THIS IS AN EARLY TEST NONE OF THIS MIGHT BE IN THE FINAL GAME".

Also, they weren't silent, there's a whole thread posted shortly after release about them being aware of some issues and that they are listening on people and investigating, etc. Here http://forum.bioware...unity-concerns/ They've been commenting in threads for common bugs (e.g. the banter issue). How is this *not* keeping the community informed?

thanks for the update BW.

To all the people already celebrating and praising BW, I'd advice you to wait until patches are actually released and proved working ;)

Also, it's now clearer than ever that they never took the time to make the game PC friendly... It's good that they want to try to change things though.

And all of this missing features they talk about... I'm just wondering what have they done during this 3-4 years of dev... oh wait they tried to make 4 legged animals with the frostbite engine ;)

Since France has like 6 hours of difference with USA, I guess the patch will be live this afternoon in France since it's kinda 3 am in USA.

Let them sleep people ;)

Fingers crossed... Now I have to wait until it's today over there, I guess  :P

Really hoping this will deal the the gender issues, it's getting less amusing as the game goes on.

Starting to get somewhat used to the controls (remapping at least helped with the pain issues), but I wouldn't refuse any improvements made to them. I miss being able to move with just the mouse.

Ohh, I can't wait. I'll just put up with the gender bug for another day  :P

If the patching of ME3 is any indication, someone at EA in California has to press a button to upload the patch. Expect the patch to go live after 1700 CET.

From Scylla Costa, producer on Dragon Age: Inquisition

Priority 2 – Features and content

As massive as Dragon Age: Inquisition already is, there were some things the team wanted to get in at launch, but we just ran out of time. We’ll be creating these new features and content and adding them into your game over time because we love our DAI players. Multiplayer will also be receiving regular content updates.

This sounds amazing, love you guys so much. /salute

Agreed, but not saying anything is equally as damning. You point towards Banter and PC3(PC Community Concerns) threads as points of contact and information dispersal. And while I'm not very familiar with the Banter bug thread, the PC3 is a maw of restlessness. The last point of contact in the PC3 fell on Nov. 26th. Mr. Schumacher who was not obligated to speak to anyone took time to post and converse. Many kudos to you Mr. Schumacher. But see the official "we're working" is silent until the next bit of "official" news on the 8th was it? That's a small time gap for me. But someone that hasn't been able to play since release... It's a horse of a different color. I can definitely see how someone who paid 50/60$ dollars would take umbrage and continue to do so in that lapse. I don't think I'm wrong in saying they could have done better job at pacification and as such feel a tinge of disappointment in that regard.

To all those of you suffering DXGI I hope you all can play tomorrow without crashing and that I see tons more feedback on controls. :)
