I do hope that patching combat and exploits doesn't mean nuking any of the classes (KE or Rogue Archer).
Fixing that Amulet of Power exploit seems fair, although maybe things like that should be by the players discretion.

First Bioware lied players -
Just watch it, omg.
Now like nothing happend they release the patch to "fix" it and people are happy again. This is ridiculous. You are just making bioware look clean and same thing will go on over and over again.
Say it straight, there is no excuses for how they treated pc users and the patch is not something I should be thankful for. I paid so this should have been in the game from the beginning. The only thing I feel is - jesus christ, finally.
can't wait to see some patch notes. thank you for the update.
Ok ok, emotions down lol, but where is actual changelog?

Agreed... I was surprised alright when I saw how badly the "tactical" camera worked. PC optimized? Yea right.
Really hope this fixes Dorian's personal quest so I can finally romance that stache.
It's better to say nothing than to make promises you cannot keep. I imagine that they either knew what they wanted fixed but didn't know how long it'd take and therefore couldn't say anything, or they knew they'd patch something by know but had no idea what would actually make it until very near the deadline. If they had promised to fix something and then changed their minds people would have gone nuts.
Just look at the Internet; whenever a game developer shows something or says something that they, for one reason or another, cannot deliver (perhaps it didn't work properly, etc) the Internet flies into an outrage because promised. Even if the statement was labled with "THIS IS AN EARLY TEST NONE OF THIS MIGHT BE IN THE FINAL GAME".
Also, they weren't silent, there's a whole thread posted shortly after release about them being aware of some issues and that they are listening on people and investigating, etc. Here http://forum.bioware...unity-concerns/ They've been commenting in threads for common bugs (e.g. the banter issue). How is this *not* keeping the community informed?
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

I would be happy if they atleast fixed the cutscenes, I couldn't even really finish the game yet because the ending dialogues keep freezing on me constantly.
Does this mean we finally get to romance Scout Harding instead of having her breaking our hearts?
Agreed, but not saying anything is equally as damning. You point towards Banter and PC3(PC Community Concerns) threads as points of contact and information dispersal. And while I'm not very familiar with the Banter bug thread, the PC3 is a maw of restlessness. The last point of contact in the PC3 fell on Nov. 26th. Mr. Schumacher who was not obligated to speak to anyone took time to post and converse. Many kudos to you Mr. Schumacher. But see the official "we're working" is silent until the next bit of "official" news on the 8th was it? That's a small time gap for me. But someone that hasn't been able to play since release... It's a horse of a different color. I can definitely see how someone who paid 50/60$ dollars would take umbrage and continue to do so in that lapse. I don't think I'm wrong in saying they could have done better job at pacification and as such feel a tinge of disappointment in that regard.
To all those of you suffering DXGI I hope you all can play tomorrow without crashing and that I see tons more feedback on controls.
My point was that, when you are fixing errors in software, you don't always know if it can be fixed or how long it'll take until you've actually fixed it. Giving estimates can be horribly difficult at best, and impossible at worst. If some of these issues are like that, they can't very well say *anything* aside from "we're working on it", because anything else would be a promise that may or may not be kept. Just because the failure is obvious (e.g. a crahs, something not working properly) does not mean that the error is easy to find, and even if you find the erroneous state the underlying fault that cause it might be insanely difficult to locate. And then you have to fix it. That can take a completely unknown amount of time.
If they've officially and inofficially said that they're working on it, they can't very well say more unless they know for sure what'll be fixed and when it'll be fixed.
oh look
I had to wait an entire month to finally play the game I bought
thanks EA!
Wait so there was patch one?
Or did i miss something?
Also an actually patch notes would be nice so i don't get my hopes up only to get disappointed in end.
When is the 2nd patch coming? I'm bit tired of broken tactical mode ![]()

If my memory is good, it was for ps4 and for AMD graphical card (only for windows 8) but I might be wrong since there was no annoucement like this with the titel : patch 1.

Today I learned an "entire month" is precisely 21 days long.
If you're going to be bitter, at least be accurate in your bitterness. You have waited three weeks.
Thanks BioWare. I really hope a "toggle walk/run" keybinding for PC is included in this patch.
Fix the exploits once you've fixed the main things such as cut scenes going into limbo and game crashes. The first one is lack of willpower by certain individuals, the 2nd affects us all and breaks the game.
I'm having trouble with connecting to multiplayer with my 360, so is my friend I'm trying to play with. I keep getting an error message when either myself or my friend creates a lobby. Mine will come up as not having the same downloadable content as my friends if he creates a lobby or his will come up as not having the latest game update if I create a lobby. Could you let me know what is going on with multiplayer and will it be fixed in this patch? Sorry if it is slightly off topic.

Drone please, stop that.

I wouldn't count on it. I can see it being added at a later time though.
I could be wrong though!
So no "walking" with keyboard and mouse in Patch 2.
I hereby vow that Dragon Age Inquisition will be the last game I preordered or bought on release day from Bioware. You're now in the pitifull company of one of the worst publishers in the industry, like Ubisoft. Congratulations on not only giving up on pc-gaming, but also lying blatantly about it!
Bit better than expected. Thought we will get patch that addresses only stability and performance issues. Also we got partial a KB&M control fix, we will see how it will work out. Hope it doesn't break the game for me, as my PC is on the lower end of the spectrum.
And I don't get why people want so bad an option to walk. I've never used it on any Dragon Age or Mass Effect game. If I could I would dodge and trick jump around like Unreal Tournament...

There's no confirmation on that, but honestly I expect them to make the game run smoother first before adding things. I am just speculating right now, as I am also curious about what's in the patch.
Thank you.
