There's no confirmation on that, but honestly I expect them to make the game run smoother first before adding things. I am just speculating right now, as I am also curious about what's in the patch.

Adding? It's already in. I just have to plugin a gamepad and give up on pc-gaming myself.

This would be a fix, not an addition.

A lot of us are going to have to wait months before its patched enough that we will be able to play and enjoy the game. Which is a shame.

So from what I read in Original post, beyond Patch 2 we may get a RPG, not a MMO. If they add features I might consider getting the game

Pardon me, I didn't know that. I thought it was just a design oversight, something they forgot to add in (so not just PC). If that's the case though, I would count on it to be fixed as soon as possible. :)

"As massive as Dragon Age: Inquisition already is, there were some things the team wanted to get in at launch, but we just ran out of time. We’ll be creating these new features and content and adding them into your game over time"

Yeeeees! :D

I really appreciated that BioWare has finally come out of hiding and started to communicate with their customers. Here's hoping that the patch goes some way towards delivering on the promises that were made to the PC players during the pre-release marketing spin. I am still waiting for that game:

Dragon Age: Inquisition - Made for PC Gamers by PC Gamers

“The combat HUD was created specifically for the PC so it gives a lot of the maneuverability you want as a PC player. The tactical camera and pause-and-play is just like you would expect from [Dragon Age] Origins. You’ll be super super pleased with it! It just creates a nice interface to interact with the world.”

Elizabeth Lehtonen, Associate Producer, BioWare

The ONLY thing about the HUD that is created specifically for the PC is the quickbar – and they didn’t even get that right. PC players get a quickbar with a maximum of 8 slots because that just happens to be the number of skills you can map on the console controller.

The punchline of the video really is when the associate producer describes the excitement and anticipation during the PAX presentation:

“We hit “A” and it just went smooth as silk”.

Referencing the green A button on the Xbox360 controller is probably not the best way to convince someone that DAI was “Made for PC Gamers by PC Gamers”. I guess we should have picked up on that as a sign of things to come.

If BioWare wants to keep me as a customer I expect major PC optimizations of not only the HUD, but also the menus and the controls. Keeping my fingers crossed for the patches to come. You can do it BioWare!

Well, hope dies last. ^^ There is still the chance it is among the "control & UI fixes". But the way they talk about "cleaning" and "expanding" PC controls in future patches kinda tells me this chance is slim. :(

Being a realist, I'm pretty sure that nothing will really changes. Seen it a hundred times. In the best case they will add support for modifier keys and a couple of new options under a bind. So we are going to eat this wretched menu, poor interface and curve controls until the game finally broke and the common player will do better than them...

I love the way you wait weeks after release and people bought the game to admit that your game has been extremly rushed and isn't complete and full of bugs ... very diplomatic way to rob people it's genius really.

Let's hope your patches are effective and won't take ages to come and fix things properly, maybe we'll finally an AI better than what was done 30 years ago ...

And to think this game was supposed to come out at the end of last year. Imagine what state it would have been in then? lol

Let's hope that it will solve one of the most obvious and rpg breaking bugs: http://forum.bioware...d-its-problems/broken and glued arms of male elves must go. Can't wait to see patch in action.

Well, the day people at large learn that pre-buying/buying on release day is not very wise, gaming will have it's next big crash. ;)

On the contrary to most voiced opinion here, I had no trouble whatsoever during my 1st playthrough which took me about 100 hours. But that goes same for Skyrim, I did not have any noticeable bugs in Skyrim, too. I guess I'm just blessed by gaming god or something.

In any case, great news for everyone! Even if it will not fix everything that is promised here, something is better than nothing.

My biggest concerns are the parter banters not firing and, more seriously, the directX crash. Hopefully these'll be fixed soon.

Great to here that patching is underway. Eager to see the full patch notes.

Am i the only one without any noteworthy issues?

My game runs great, looks great and (granted, only most of the time) feels great.

The few problems I did encounter were typical for open world games. I can't remember a single one that arrived without similar issues.

So far after I've played through the game once and leveled up a few chars in MP, I feel like the game was worth every single buck. Sure I screamed out in rage a few times when my Party was busy running into a wall while I got my face bashed in by a horde of Wraths, but I forgot about those moments a few minutes later.

I need to dig through my old box of  floppies and see if I still have that Gunship 2000 update disc from Microprose so I can take a picture and post it for you.  Do you really think games needing a patch is a recent development?   Yes, games will ship with issues.  Yes, decent developers will patch them.  I for one am grateful Bioware is a decent developer.  More than decent.

Bioware deserves better fans.

Agreed. :)
