Dragon Age: Inquisition Patch Master Thread

Reporting in again to state that:
- Repair does diddly squat
- Editing the Profile file doesn't fix the issue either
From what this looks like: PC Players are getting the very same CC and graphic downgrades (No scars, freckles, odd complexions, downgraded graphics) that XB 360 and PS3 users are getting as standard due to playing on Lower Gen.
COULD IT BE that there was a mixup when the patches were pushed live with the PC Patch receiving the unnecessary Lower Gen restrictions? IF that is the case, a hotfix should be possible fairly quickly unless these restrictions are deeply embedded within the game's Code and the whole patch has to be rewritten for PC users WITHOUT these restrictions.
Devs, a word, please?

How long that is gonna be is up in the air. It's christmas time but I'm not hoping for wonders here.
Well someone on NeoGAF is saying BioWare is already on it, so probably not too long.

Loaded an autosave on my game. I CAN CONFIRM : This patch DOES fix the voice change bug when you encounter Hawke.
But AT WHAT COST BIOWARE!?! AT WHAT COST!?! Is it just me or are the complexion sliders broken also! What happened to my Hawke! She looks like a box of dry raisinets!!!
Spoiler
Luckily I knew of the voice change bug prior to this, so I have a save before meeting her. I can easily change her complexion if need be, I was just so shocked by this I had to make it of note. In hindsight I think this is kinda hilarious. Did anyone else see changes to their Hawke's complexion or any other characters. Aside from this I noticed Harding didn't have freckles, and her chin scar was gone but as far as NPC's being afflicted with OCFS (Old Crusty Face Syndrome) Hawke was the only one I saw :/

So does everything that requires more processing power than a PS4 can offer get outsourced? Because I'm certain there isn't a single decent Desktop PC in any Bioware facility.
0 for 2 on testing PC stuff Bioware... Glad I decided to just pirate the DLC's from now on to make up for the $150 i threw in the trash so far...

Some of the crybaby entitlement in this thread is very disturbing.
The use of the word entitlement as if it is somehow supposed to be this evil horrible thing is disturbing. Guess what genius when you exchange money for goods you do come into a few entitlements one of those being that your goods function as advertised which is this obviously doesn't. But that's okay man continue to take **** that you don't have to for absolutely no reason in particular other than not being seen as uppity but I'm not going to join you in being a doormat.

I'm also having the same issues with shoddy hair and beard looks here, but what bothers me more is that it took me long enough to even get to check that particular issue out on my system. Since the patch, not only have my loading times become abysmally long, the whole game stutters and lags like a slideshow starting right at the EA/Bioware logos already, rendering the game virtually unplayable on all settings. Pre-patch, the game ran smoothly on medium-high settings at around 40fps, with the occasional and sometimes more lengthy period of FPS drop to around 25 fps, which I could usually live with or fix by simply quicksaving/loading.
I can't even start playing at a steady framerate now.

he calls more than 3 weeks rushing patches! muhahaha
Have you worked on software before? I've worked on software, games specifically, significantly smaller than this project (the smallest of mobile games), with likely a fraction of the code and assets. Simply porting those games from one mobile OS to another could take days, if not weeks of work. Correcting the code of an enormous game across five varied platforms should not be expected in under three weeks.
Yes, you paid for a game. But that doesn't mean Bioware has to stretch the limits of what is humanly possible. There's being upset about a broken game, and then there's talking about something with an air of knowledge and awareness that you clearly don't have. I'm not trying to insult you, as I don't expect everyone to know about code and software development. But if you don't have that knowledge, you don't get to quote numbers as though you know what you're talking about. It doesn't go both ways: I can't expect you to know about software development, but that means you don't get to talk about it in that way.
I realize this is a rant, but statements like this are frustrating, and prop up false ideas about what game devs are. Getting out a patch that, based on the patch notes, targeted a number of issues across several platforms should be expected to take time.

Could you give use more details ?
Did you let Origin online and played the none patched version or the game ?
I simply tried deleting the "update" folder in the DAI installation folder and restarting the game. Sadly with that as a result.
Doesn't seem like i can get any of my saves working again when i try to rollback, only thing that made them work again was redownloading the patch. ![]()

nice patch....it fixed absoulutly nothing
Controls - still hidious, absolute disaster
UI - still looks like from some cartoon
Cinematics - still hitching
Audio - still breaking
AI - varric still goes fighting giants melee range, full rambo style
Performance - still stuttering with mantle (although now little less and its not completly unplayable with mantle + vsync like before)
Good job Bioware, good job indeed -.-''
This is the year when all companies in video game industry have officaly turned it to a ****...time to stop being a gamer

Honestly, I feel for the elves, but everyone else wasn't all that much better anyway.
Arms frequently detach during a lot of the animations. Once you notice, you can never really stop looking at it, and it's terrible.
There's also loads of clipping with a lot of the components (arm or leg upgrades) that force you to choose between combat ability and looking credible.
At this point, I hope they decide to just revert the patch (if they can) or push an update by the end of the week. (I hope, even if I don't truly expect.)
Yes, F grade of models' finishing touch. While they look good, they are terribly animated.

Thank you for responding. Sincerely.
However, you can't make people wait forever. The PC version is broken. The patch broke it further.

I don't used to write in forums, but now I feel I must. I was able to play Dragon Age: Inquisition until the second patch with low/off settings and medium textures with playable framerates; and yes on a notebook (core i3 2350m 2.3Ghz with 4 threads, 8GB ddr3 1333Mhz ram, Geforce GT630m 1GB videocard and Windows 7 SP1 64bit), but now it stutters even in the main menu and in game almost constantly, what making the game unplayable.
I hope Bioware will fix this soon. ![]()
