The graphics are a minor inconvenience. I started a new game and didn't even notice until it was brought up and I compared screenshots.

 

Would I like to see it hot fixed within the next 24 hours? Sure. Absolutely. I would love it if by the time I got home from dinner and watching Guardians of the Galaxy on blu-ray, it was already done.

 

However. It is a minor inconvenience. So my graphics aren't AMAZING right now. I'll live. It's not impeding my life. It's not even impeding my gameplay experience short of "oh, slightly lower quality textures/meshes/whatever."

 

I said this before when people decided it was okay to send death threats to Bioware and boycott them over five minutes. I'll say it again.

I simply tried deleting the "update" folder in the DAI installation folder and restarting the game. Sadly with that as a result. 

Doesn't seem like i can get any of my saves working again when i try to rollback, only thing that made them work again was redownloading the patch.

Loaded an autosave on my game. I CAN CONFIRM : This patch DOES fix the voice change bug when you encounter Hawke. 

But AT WHAT COST BIOWARE!?! AT WHAT COST!?! Is it just me or are the complexion sliders broken also! What happened to my Hawke! She looks like a box of dry raisinets!!!

Luckily I knew of the voice change bug prior to this, so I have a save before meeting her. I can easily change her complexion if need be, I was just so shocked by this I had to make it of note. In hindsight I think this is kinda hilarious. Did anyone else see changes to their Hawke's complexion or any other characters. Aside from this I noticed Harding didn't have freckles, and her chin scar was gone but as far as NPC's being afflicted with OCFS (Old Crusty Face Syndrome) Hawke was the only one I saw :/

At this point I couldn't care less about the graphics downgrade, my game was running fine before the patch, now it's unplayable, crashes every single time I try to start What Pride Had Wrought

Right after we are told by a mod to stop using twiter to ask about the game, a developer goes and uses twitter to talk about the game, and still not use the correct forums hehe!

Actually, no, I directly told people to tweet to @dragonage with issues as well as posting in Answers HQ, as it is the best way to get your message to our support staff.

I asked that people not "hammer" on these sites, and have asked in the past that people do not spam the devs like Mark, as it is not the best way to get your feedback across.

Your last few posts have been actively trying to fan flames. Please stop this, as it is not helpful to getting anything done.

We are looking into this issue and appreciate our users bringing things to our attention, but angry, spurious accusations do not get us anywhere.

I can confirm that theirs no shiny hair on PS4. So I assume it's a PC only thing.

Loaded game again after trying more things to fix this mess of a PC Patch. None worked BTW.

 

Shiny hair.

Complexion changes.

Scars gone.

Environmental effects horrible.

Ground textures terrible.

I think people's claims of "entitlement" are less resulting from the existence of complaints as from the "This is TERRIBLE FIX IT NOW BIOWARE I HATE YOU YOU'RE NOT MY REAL DAD" nature of those complaints.

While death threats and boycotting are utterly stupid, you should pay a bit more attention to people's complaints. It's a lot more than just graphical issues, such as stuttering that makes the game unplayable for a lot of people, which was nonexistent before the patch. And a lot more. Just read some of the normal posts in this thread, not the ones that are flaming.

Suggesting people pirate is a stupid thing to do.

 

They paid for the game.

 

Maybe better to say: They bought a key. This key says you are allowed to play the game.

 

What does it matter where they get the game files from?

 

Thy can't steal what they already have. 

 

Especially since Origin needs to validate the game again! Even in offline mode!

 

 

They want to rollback (for good reasons) and Origin won't let us. So let them dl the original game files from some shady places.

 

 

Which is why I made a backup before patching

I can confirm that theirs no shiny hair on PS4. So I assume it's a PC only thing. 

I was scrolling through looking to see if anyone had tried the PS4 patch yet. That's good to hear. I was looking at those super shiny Loreal hair screenshots going, "Do not want!" and debating holding off on the patch if that was the case since it didn't look like it fixed the problems I was having with quest triggering completion anyway. I feel for the PC players who got borked in the texture/hair department now, but I am glad that it's not a univeral thing. I have a feeling that it will be addressed (because that shiny hair is NOT an improvement...), but I didn't really want to run around with super ultra gloss Turtle Wax hair for the next couple weeks or however long it takes to get another patch out.

 

Also, can we all agree that the most important thing in this patch is Cullen's hair? Surely, no one wants his hair to be less than fabulous.
