Well, I'm glad to know the voice change bug is fixed. As soon as there's a hotfix for this graphics issue, I'll be back playing the game hopefully.

Funnily enough, I'm spending my time playing AC:Unity, which is way worse in the bug department compared to DA:I, even after 3 patches.

What about the work day being over? Devs get to have lives too.

You can't be serious. At any work place, when something has been utterly fucked, you don't get to do 9-5 and then high five each other at the end of the day and go home.

This is even more true for game developers. When a game's nearing release, they rarely leave the office. When they completely obliterate their highly anticipated title with a patch, they don't get to go home that easy. Sorry if you've never had a job before, but that's how it works in nearly all corporations.

Actually, no, I directly told people to tweet to @dragonage with issues as well as posting in Answers HQ, as it is the best way to get your message to our support staff.

I asked that people not "hammer" on these sites, and have asked in the past that people do not spam the devs like Mark, as it is not the best way to get your feedback across.

Your last few posts have been actively trying to fan flames. Please stop this, as it is not helpful to getting anything done.

We are looking into this issue and appreciate our users bringing things to our attention, but angry, spurious accusations do not get us anywhere.

Honestly if I was Bioware I'd take my sweet time. People flooded the forums for 3 weeks complaining about problems demanding it be fixed right meow!!!! Then a patch comes out and guess what, like most patches it fixed something but broke something else(seriously it's like all these people have never played WoW or any other game that had patches).

Then they come here acting like they know better than actual devs because reasons. I seriously do not know how Bioware handles this crap. If it were me I'd just be like "FU people it'll get fixed when it gets fixed and the more you cry and threaten the longer it takes" Seriously when my kids act like that they get smacked.

While death threats and boycotting are utterly stupid, you should pay a bit more attention to people's complaints. It's a lot more than just graphical issues, such as stuttering that makes the game unplayable for a lot of people, which was nonexistent before the patch. And a lot more. Just read some of the normal posts in this thread, not the ones that are flaming.

Every "gamer" should be aware that patches sometimes break things. Setting the forums on fire because of this is childish. and yes some of the posts are normal. A majority of them however haven't been.

Game seems to be working fine for me, with some minor glitches. I seem to have really shiny, flimsy hair all of a sudden and some other textures seem to be scaled down quiet a bit, while I didn't change any settings.

Not sure if it helps.

LOOK! SOMEONE ACTUALLY REPORTING PROBLEMS AND DISCUSSING WHY THEY MIGHT BE HAPPENING!

It's...oh my god, it's...constructive criticism...I can't even...

Along those lines: the complexion issue is likely a table error.    They added the elderly complexion with this patch as far as I can tell, but accidentally had it take the memory value of a couple existing settings.  If so, it should be easy enough to fix, though we'll probably have to wait for QA for the next patch due to costs.

Loaded an autosave on my game. I CAN CONFIRM : This patch DOES fix the voice change bug when you encounter Hawke.

But AT WHAT COST BIOWARE!?! AT WHAT COST!?! Is it just me or are the complexion sliders broken also! What happened to my Hawke! She looks like a box of dry raisinets!!!

Spoiler

Cannot. Stop. Laughing. This right there made the patch (almost) worth it. Bookmarking this page for use in future depressing moments as an instant manic giggle-inducer.

And this all happens, only because of stupid things like Origins, Steam ect.

If it would be without this online platforms, we could go back to the old status and could play again...

grrr...

Well...this evening is done for me :-) (Germany)

Game developers don't get paid by the hour. The work day is never officially over for them. Some days, you may get called in at 3 in the morning to work on the game; just depends.

I'm a newbie gamer, so this kinda feels directed at me...but I just feel there's a huge difference between 'your game sux and your service sux; i'll never buy Bioware again!' and death threats. One is a perfectly legitimate, if overwrought, reaction and the other is, well, threatening to murder someone for not making a good game.

Sure, but murder threats are just the direct result of too much drama caused by, as you said, "overwrightness". I mean, people here treat the issues with their games as if their lives depended on it. As it happened with many other media several times before (such as Evangelion's original ending, for example), it's just a matter of time until a reasonable number of people that take it waaaaaaaaaaay to seriously start popping up.

So ... consoles? Graphics, aside from shiny hair? Is this an exclusive new feature for the PC?

PC games are often played by PC gamers using controllers on their PC.

You know what's funny about this?

I still remember being disgusted when I was forced to switch to mouse/keyboard for my FPSs, since they stopped supporting joystick control. Why should I, as a PC GAMER be forced to use mouse and keyboard like a common office worker, or a Mac user?

This illusion that mouse and keyboard somehow defines what it means to be a PC gamer is laughable. Now I'm playing DA:I with a controller, and at no point do I feel like a console gamer. Except right now, since we're all using X360-graphics :P

Can I also just point out that the two big bugs (voice and gender/race thing) had VERY simple and straightforward workarounds? I never had a problem with either one. This patch was literally  a downgrade for me.

If you equate head lice as a feature, yes it is a feature.

Well I find the controller to be inferior to m&k in this type of game (and I have tried it). It's just so clunky to use analog stick for camera controls, I find the game much more enjoyable with mouselook. So yeah, controller is not exactly a great solution to the problems that PC gamers are having.

I encountered 2 bugs from my complete playthrough, patch did not fix any of them.far as i can see my load time is trippeled after patch.

Bugs still unresolved but not game breaking, 1.killing 10 dragon achivement not showing. 2. Finding Frederic quest mark still up after completing quest line.

That's pretty much it,looking forward to dlc:)

I know, right?

I use a controller whenever possible, for ergonomic reasons and the fact that I make heavy use of my nVidia Shield, and switching between M&KB and controller is annoying. I was absolutely thrilled that DA:I had controller support.

Consoles do not seem to be affected by these issues (fun fact: the last gen console versions lack the scar option completely from my understanding so that part would be a non-issue anyways.)

Well.....can I uninstall the patch? I didn't have any problems before, now my game looks significantly less good and my Inquisitor's face is barely recognizeable.

I wish I had read this thread before I installed the patch. I've adapted to all of DAI's oddities rather well, but this graphics downgrade makes me cry. The game looked so great....before the patch. :(

You don't have to stay late when there is a big problem that comes up?  AKA a Work Emergency?  Must work for the Gov't.

Are you trying to be liked by Bioware ?

Just saying that since it's odd that you're trying to look down on people by saying "they should've know, noobs" things like that.

So for your information you're also not helping Bioware to get usefull information by making that post.
