Couldn't find anything about it here but did the game completely stop working for anyone else? Since I downloaded the patch the game won't start anymore. I can see the exe in the task manager for a few seconds but then it is gone ..

Agreed. I admit this whole mess is pretty damn funny and it will certainly stick with Bioware for a long time. So punishment is already served I guess. It will stay funny if they fix this within 24 to 48 hours. We will have had a good laugh and then move on...

 

Otherwise it will be the definite downfall of their pc community and they could aswell scrap all future pc plans and just release on the consoles.

I'm a PC gamer and never used a controller to play a PC game in my 20 years of PC gaming...

 

And how about them mobile phones? I remember when the tac2 was all the rage, and there sure is merit for m+kb in many type of games, including da:o, but not having a controller plugged to your pc is seriously just silly.

Ya know, with set maintenance/patch days.

 

I don't mind waiting for a hotfix/patch so much as I dread having to wait for another 3 weeks to give my Canon pt another try. (I beat the game with a non Canon quizzy 'cause of the VA Glitch & now that's fixed but the Graphics downgrade is stopping me from it this time. *Heavy Sigh*)

That really is standard fare, they could try rephrasing the same sentence every time they respond but that wouldn't help. The fact that they're responding quickly is actually a good sign.

Its nothing close to good, good would be if they could code in a proper patch. I do not need answers at this moment, I need to be able to play comfortably this game of the year .....

Definitely some weirdness going on.  The blondest hair is super shiny and has illumination or something on it.   Underside shadows are overly dark at the roots which looks very strange considering the "Tussauds" effect that my Inquisitor has going on now.  LOL   

 

Also, graphics are taking a very strange amount of time to load.

 

Note: the resolution of the before and afters are different.  Top before row is my usual 1920x1080, second "after" row is actually increased to double that.  (which by the way, prepatch was BEAUTIFUL effects during battles @ over 3000x2xxx + res (can't recall exactly offhand).  Downsampled just for some scenery shots...highly worth it despite the battlelag...not so much today with my quizzies Tussauds-make-under.  lol   I don't know, I would never expect the after row to be at the higher graphics settings... 

 

Did they console the pc patch?

As someone who works (managing) social media communication, it's really no indication. Just means they've got some 17 year old behind a keyboard for 3 bucks an hour (or for "study") with instructions to "make nice"

 

Really, at this point I wish they'd just delayed the game another 2-3 months, and I even finished two playthroughs and manage to get by without crashes (after I started running windowed mode/no ao/etc) (pre-patch, mind you, no idea about now).

 

They obviously got rushed into release, and it was on many fronts crap. Then they got rushed into this patch, and it's really not making stuff better. Unless it was their intention to turn the game into a shampoo commercial, cause if that was the case well done. I can't stop laughing at the shiny hair tbh.

 

But that's all arguably (and/or conceivably) the publisher's fault. What actually does baffle me is how I can walk in an Envy Demon, but I can't walk whenever I bloody want to!

 

Ah just kidding, but we kinda use the walk as a metaphor for the lack of attention the PC version has received.

I'm not disagreeing with you that they effed up here, esp. for PC users as 360 & PS4 seem to be fine. (XBOne hasn't gotten the patch yet) All I said was that rewording every response they give rather than just CP that they are aware & looking into it right now isn't gonna help matters. I'd rather they work on a fix than polishing up their answering/phrasing skills, ya know?
