And how about them mobile phones? I remember when the tac2 was all the rage, and there sure is merit for m+kb in many type of games, including da:o, but not having a controller plugged to your pc is seriously just silly.

I'm exactly the same as Zylenn, never used a controller on PC.

And how can not having a very specific input method be considered silly? Especially if it comes to personal opinion. It's not like a monitor/TV, it's not something you NEED to play games.

People complain that the patch is taking too long to come out. Then when it does come out, they complain that it didn't get enough QA and some new things are broken.

This forum really is an utter cesspool. I don't blame devs at all for avoiding this place like the plague. If it were up to me, I'd burn it to the ground.

I'm a PC gamer and never used a controller to play a PC game in my 20 years of PC gaming...

Cool story bro. That doesn't mean that nobody does, or that there is no merit in it.

True - and you don't NEED a joystick to play a flight simulator or a steering wheel to play a car game, but it will enhance the gaming experience significantly.

It's this whole "only console gamers use controllers" BS that I take issue with. As you say, specific input methods is a personal choice (as well as a design decision by the developer), and doesn't define you as a gamer.

Anyone else have their favorite gear crafted from appealing materials have the textures not just lowered in quality but completely changed to something drab and boring and no longer appealing at all? Which is the entire reason I choose such materials to make my gear from over other materials of equal stats.

Hey guys, after the patch my game simply crashes without any error message right after the loading screen fades out after loading a save.

Anyone encounter the same problem?

didn't spent over 600€ to buy a Gtx980 4G just to have a shitty 399 euro ps4 graphics

PS4 graphics are fine. No super shiny hair...ever. And the graphics were never my definition of "shitty". Seriously...

You know, removing this patch from Origin would be the sensible thing to do here.

So basically, as PC users who were unfortunate enough to trust BioWare to patch our game, our choices are:

1) Play with bad graphics.  (I built a new PC especially for this game, and the graphics were gorgeous.  Now they are crap.)

2) Reinstall and play offline, but that means we can't play any current games, and with any new ones we start we cannot import a custom world save.

3) Wait for BioWare to fix their mistake... someday.

Seriously?

I have never used a controller on my PC. I do not like console controllers. I, personally, find them uncomfortable.

I also, don't have issue with the K/M controls with DA:I.

I do have problems with my PC games looking like a craptastic last gen console game that took some serious opiates.

Allow us to revert the patch, or get a hotfix. I had the occasional CTD pre-patch, which I prefer over the graphics so ugly my eyes bleed.

I've had a bad day, I suppose this was the icing on the crap cake that was my day. I can't even sit back and enjoy my chosen mode of relaxation.

I see quite a few people asking if they can uninstall the patch, revert back, not install it, reinstall the game to avoid this etc, so here's a quick rundown on your options:

If you have not patched yet:

- Before starting Origin, turn off your Internet access. Either disable your wifi adapter, pull your network cable out of your PC, turn off your router, etc.

- When origin starts, it will detect no internet access, and offer the option to go offline. Do so. You can now play DA:I without the horrible patch.

- Alternatively, in the settings menu in Origin (don't have them in front of me since I'm still at work), there is an option that says "Disable automatic updates." Make sure that option is set so games do NOT automatically update. Now you can play DA:I without the horrible patch, and should be able to turn your internet back on.

If you have already patched:

- There is no way to roll back the patch.

- There is no way to uninstall it.

- I see some people uninstalling and redownloading, and I do not recommend doing this, because all you're doing is redownloading for nothing. The patch will automatically get downloaded and applied as a part of the original install. So you're just wasting time.

- IF you have the game on DVD, or have a copy of the game folder made from before the patch was applied, or you have an image / backup of the hard disk the game is on, you can restore the game from DVD/backup/your copy whatever, and follow the options outlined above to make origin NOT patch your game, and you should be able to continue playing without issues.

If you do not have a backup of the files from before the patch, in essence you are S.O.L. You're gonna have to wait until Bioware either rolls back the patch or issues a hotfix.

Hope this is of help . (even though it'll scroll off in 20 seconds. :)  )

Is that a pre-patch profile pic? It looks exactly the same as in the screenshot.. unless you were playing on lower settings to begin with.
