I've just installed the patch for my PS3 and now I've LOST a whole character save (17hrs) and now my game keeps FREEZING whilst I'm trying to play a new character. Im having to hard reset my console everytime. Its completely unplayable. £44.99 down the drain
Great job everyone, well done. Keep releasing busted products. Unbelievable....

Okay, 68 pages of people freaking out because their games have been ruined, and... not a peep from BioWare?
Really?
They must really be wanting to put themselves out of business.

This is utterly frustrating.
My game was running just fine (albeit on medium settings) before the patch, now i'm running all low and it is SLOW. AS. ****. Unbearably laggy, stuttering, and just awful. :| :| :|

Maybe it's another Inquisitor's Path quest, where the Elder One is yet again sewing chaos from behind the scenes.

It seems the patch had a bit of a brain fart code into it , and it's reading some files incorrectly and some settings/features are set to default really really low . ![]()

MESSAGE POPULAIRE !
Hey Everyone,
We're working on getting a hot fix out for the PC graphics issue as soon as possible. In the meantime, here is a workaround you can try:
To start, make sure the quality setting you choose is equal to the setting set for Mesh Quality inside Options>Graphics
You will need to add a new command line parameter. To do this:
Through Origin:
- Right click on the Dragon Age Inquisition title
- Go to game properties
- Type the command line parameter in the Command Line Properties box.
Through shortcut:
- Right Click Shortcut
- Go to Properties
- Under target go to the end of the field and type the command line parameter into the box
Once there, add the following command line parameter: -ShaderSystem.ShaderQualityLevel <quality setting>
In this instance, <quality setting> should be one of the following:
- Ultra
- High
- Medium
- Low
An example of how to set your quality to high would be: -ShaderSystem.ShaderQualityLevel High
Please note that once the hot fix is out, you will need to go back in and remove this workaround from your command line.
It’s also important to note that pre-patch 2, all users on PC were being forced to use the Ultra shader quality. This means that those of you playing on lower settings will notice a decrease in quality, particularly players using low or medium settings.
To achieve the same visuals as pre-patch, users on lower settings will need to change their settings to Ultra, which should likewise be used in conjunction with Ultra mesh quality. Mismatching the mesh and shader settings will result in other visual artifacts like overly shiny hair.
Please be aware that changing settings to Ultra may impact performance on some machines.
Sorry about any frustration this may have caused.

The best thing about the entire ordeal is bioware will not respond to the issues; they will not address them; they will not apologise.
Infact, let me give you the official bioware line right now and save them the trouble of doing it

Reading all the reaction puts me in mind of something I read years and years ago from an exasperated bio dev on the forums who wrote, "It's not like we sit around trying to figure out ways to slap the fun out of your hand". I thought that was hilarious, the visual imagery of it, the turn of phrase. How obvious it was when you thought seriously about it.
Obviously there's been some kind of mess up. Wrong patch version uploaded out of dozens of iterations. A last minute seemingly benign/minor tweak that caused unforseen cascading chaos. A mistake. Made by humans. Trying their best. I make mistakes, and I bet most of the rest of you do too, at work, that aren't the subject of intense, immediate scrutiny by tens of thousands. Most here have demonstrated compassion, patience, and humour, which is cool; for the rest, maybe cut bio a bit of slack?
Id cut them some slack if they improved on a fair few things including communication and transparency. So far they've yet to own up to the **** up they created. WHne I **** something up I say "Well I fucked this up!" and tell whoever would be a victim. So far all we've heard is 'Go to twitter!' and thats it.
Im sorry but BioWare had most of the hate coming. They didnt fix what a lot og PC gamers wanted fixed (better ui+controls) and on top of that broke even more.

Really? You're backing them up when they spout the same ol' same ol' "please report issues over there".
Nothing saying, "We are aware we severely screwed up and will have a hotfix in x time." Because that would be the professional thing to do.
EDIT: Thank you, Conal. Better late than never. ![]()

As of patch 2 crashes happen during cutscenes: the cutscene freezes and then the game is unresponsive. Most of the time it gives no error message (this one is the exception). Aside from the patch nothing has changed on my PC.

Here you go, few posts from twitter:
1. @dragonage so the patch that was said to improve stability now makes the game crash more any word on when this will be fixed
@SiniterShinigam We're aware of this and dev is investigating. Sorry for the inconvenience.
2. It appears that we can longer have scars in #DAI after today's patch?
@Qeilla We're aware of this and dev is investigating. Sorry for the inconvenience.
3.everyone now has shiny hair too even though I'm using ultra/high settings for everything
@NeensLewis We're aware of this and dev is investigating. Sorry for the inconvenience.
So yeah, even answer is like copy, paste

I'm done thanking you guys to fix the issues you caused in the first place, HOW did this happen? This is unacceptable for a company of your stature

I haven't seen shader settings in the options before, were they added with this patch?
