Haven't read the many pages here presented so if it was already explained, I'm sorry.
My problem after I installed the patch:
After the patch I'm having really big problems throughout and before the game starts. It's completely lagged when I start it sometimes so I need to restart my computer for it to return to normal (so lagged I hardly can exit the game properly). In game, however, randomly I get a black screen but still with sound to then completely freeze my computer and I need to do a urgent reboot.
Is there any solution to this whatsoever?
How much VRAM and system RAM do you have. That sounds like a memory issue, or over heating. Check your temps while playing
Thanks!
Anybody?

Playing on PC.
Patch made my crashing problem worse than before.
Unistalled DA:I and installed it again intending to NOT patch it.
Discovered that ALL my saved games are now tagged as being from the patched version and my choices are to patch it again and put up with a crash every 15 minutes or to start a new game!
Thanks BioWare ...
I am getting TERRIBLE pop-in. Been playing well since release and have no real complaints.
This new patch comes out and my draw distance and anything not immediately infront of me has a high chance of not being there. Walk a few steps then a whole mountain will appear. Walk another few steps then a pole will appear.
Everything is on ULTRA on a 970 gtx. I've tried high as well same thing.
Anybody?
I suppose you can't translate that into english? I can only get the general gist of it (problem with connection & activation issues with the game).
Try EA support first.
Bioware would do good to ignore this thread now. The amount of useful feedback approaches zero here.
But at any rate, can anyone tell me the state of Battlefield 4 right now? It is the only other Frostbite 3 game that is out, right? I heard that the game was drowning in bugs in the beginning, now I dunno (Just thinking is it the engine that is bad, or Bioware programming team).
I lost my scars.
Now my character looks boring.

Have you read the updated OP?
I'm so glad my mommy taught me patience.
Battlefield 4 had been a dumpster fire since launch. Maybe there is something to this engine being hot garbage.
But, but, it's so shiny!
...I agree, BW got forced to use that crappy piece of engine by EA, and they are still trying to make something of it. Seriously, what are the advantages of this engine, besides it's "shiny"? Is it easier to make ports? I really don't know.
With the new patch and the hotfix I can't even get through the start menu without the game stuttering (lasting 2-3 seconds) every 5 seconds.
I played for 35+ hours pre patch 2 with absolutely no issues.
i5-3570K 3.40GHz
GTX 660 Ti
8 GB RAM
Driver 344.75
The severe stuttering is present no matter what quality the graphics settings are set to.

That says that a problem happened due to connection with EA to activate DA:I through his account
Good thing I play completely disconnected to the internet at all times. I'm not downloading this supposed "fix."
Well, you tried, Bioware. LOL..... ![]()

Don't know my VRAM but System RAM is of 8GB. I play on Low. Definitely not over heating though.

Nope, not related since in BF4, I can map any command TO ANY DAMN MOUSE BUTTON I WANT.
congrats guys... prepatch it took on average 30 minutes until i crashed to the blue screen of death... post patch it now takes less than 5! not sure if that was what you were aiming for though... i loved it when i took 2 steps and cast my first spell - bam BSOD!
Okay, I haven't opened Origin all day so my game hasn't patched yet so I have two questions.
One. Is there a way to play DA:I without opening Origin and it patching the damn game? Whenever I have tried to open just DA:I in the past it makes me open Origin first so who knows.
Two. If there isn't why the hell isn't Bioware going with the obvious answer to fix this? PULL THE PATCH UNTIL THE FIX IS DONE. That way people like myself who haven't patched yet can open and play the game without worries of it breaking/ruining our characters. I had zero issues before the patch myself so this seems like the best solution for me and I don't understand why Bioware didn't just do it in the first place upon finding out there was such a big issue with it.
The command line shader fix thing worked for me. Shiny hair is back to normal, scars/freckles are back, and the fine detail on clothes and armor seems to have returned. However, it still seems like the post-processing effects, depth-of-field being most noticebale, aren't working.
After applying the patch. Everyone now has shiny plastic hair. I am running on GTX970 and most settings are Ultra. Texture Fade-Touched and a couple High.

Dorian still wont give me his personal quest..

edit:
I added "-ShaderSystem.ShaderQualityLevel Ultra" to startup parameter and hair is back to normal. Did the patch mess up the shader option?

Had some BSOD too after the patch. Not sure if related to it though
The command line fix worked for me but even still I'm getting some really nasty stuttering and hitching that I didn't have before the patch. Mostly when panning and moving the camera around and really badly in combat when effects are going off.
I think I found a possible way to uninstall the patch
I found this post on Tumblr. When I get the chance I'll try it myself, but for everyone else seeking a solution here you go. Really hope this works, tell me if anyone gets any positive results.

REVERT BACK TO YOUR PRE-PATCH STATE
Just a reminder for those not reading old pages. It actually works.
