Journey of a typical bioware fanboy at a fast food restaurant

FB - Hi there, could I get a quarterpounder with cheese, please?

BW - Sure, that'll be 3 bucks please.

FB - There you go.

BW - Thanks, here's your burger!

FB - Uh... that's nice but there's only half a bun. No cheese. No pickle, onions, or sauce.... the picture over there shows it with all of those delicious bits and you've given me a bit of meat and half a bun?

BW - We're aware of your issues and are looking into it.

FB - Any idea of when you might fix it?

BW - *remains silent but gets out his phone and starts tweeting*

FB - Well you have a whole kitchen workforce behind you, maybe you're really busy so I'll wait awhile.

Few hours later, FB eats the burger.

BW - Hi again, we've taken your comments on board and we'll now be giving you CHEESE with the quarterpounder with cheese you ordered!

FB - omfg SO GOOD! (even though I already ate the burger!)

BW - Yeah! And if you wait for a few more hours we might give you some pickle. And even onion! (Sauce TBC $3.99)

FB - omfg best burger place EVER DDDDDDDDDDDD:

How does one know that the game has been updated?

I would assume you follow them on twitter or instagram, the forums will probably never get an official notice... (wish i was being sarcastic but im being sincere)

Don't miss-quote.

It is a known ISSUE, not a BUG. Big difference.

So it won't be fixed in the patch 2? Our dearest BioWare inspectors should receive an award for multi tasking - investigating so many things without providing fast solutions is quite spectacular.

There are many bugs that need to be addressed fast.

Furthemore, I think that http://forum.bioware...d-its-problems/must be fixed

Am i the only one who hopes you still don't wear armor at skyhold? I think it would be cool if we got more casual armor sets like ME3, but I think it's honestly regressing if you wear your full armor set when you're supposed to be chilling at your castle...seems like it makes even less sense than the undergarments.

What platform? On the X360 it is a prompt when launching the game. On Origin you will notice on the bottom of the client that something is downloading / has downloaded. Much like how Steam does this. I am not sure about PS4 or XONE, I think both has an update history under the download section or management.

More like you asked for a burger, they gave you a burger and fries, but you still whined like an annoying baby because you thought it would taste better.

You're not the only one. I don't have a problem with the way my female human inquisitor looks, in fact I quite like it.

Comparing a complex piece of software with a hamburger. Do you happen to work in a fast food restaurant?

I kind of think the same thing...to be honest I never noticed they were supposed to be undergarments until everyone on here started calling them that...I thought they were just formal clothing.

This means that the game hasn't been patched yet.
At least I don't think it's out on pc yet.

You're at war, and you were already attacked once at your home base.  I'd think if you weren't sleeping you'd be in armor.  There's no chilling!

Did that hurt, BioWare? No? It didn't? Then try to keep this kind of communication on-going, as opposed to when stuff hits the fan.

Thank you.

To be fair, a large number of idiots frequent these forums and some of the vitriol and demands that get spouted on a regular basis, it's actually surprising BioWare keep the forums.  Many a dev have binned their forums and have taken to just making announcements on their website.  Your own post comes across as a little bit entitled to.

Yeah, we all bought the game, thus are entitled to expect fixes and to air our concerns, but some people just seem to think the world revolves around them.

Well because Origin Program sucks, hell it still tells me i need to buy all my DA:O DLC even though bioware social network has all my purchases and DLC available...

It says it's up to date because it's as updated as the program can make it, meaning it hasn't hit origin update servers.

Correct. You will notice at the bottom on Origin that it says something like "Dragon Age: Inqusition - Downloading 1 out of 1". Or if it's done it will say something similar, but with "downloaded, or finished".

Entitled? I know that's the buzzword of the zeitgeist, but it's rapidly becoming tiresome. Provided no one is being hurtful or threatening, you don't get to dictate to anyone how they express their frustrations. Period.

It is not too much to expect communication--especially when BioWare seems perfectly capable of communicating via other channels.

It is too much to expect communication from someone who you constantly **** on any time they give you information you don't like. Entitled is a buzz word for a reason...many gamers are starting to embody the term.

I believe his point is that this isn't a precedent. You cannot anecdotally proclaim "gamers today" because we "gamers of ye olden times" had similar circumstances. They just weren't as popularized and echoed. Or, perhaps I too am missing your point in all seriousness.

OP:

"... Keep an eye on this thread by Mark Darrah for more updates...". Updates don't appear there, at least not directly from an official. If it wasn't for sinosleep I would not have known a patch was coming days prior. But thank you for making an official announcement. I do appreciate it.

Great, when did I say or even imply it was a precedent?  So again, he totally missed the point of my post.

Provided no one is being hurtful or threatening

While I agree in general with your sentiment, I think his point was not necessarily "hurtful or threatening", but more "polite" and "communicate like an adult".  If we can change the buzzword of "entitled", we can also change the paradigm of "make so much noise they have to fix it and/or respond".  The latter is, in my opinion, way worse than calling someone entitled.

Apparently, the undergraments clothes you wear in the keep is a known bug. You're supposed to have your armor on.

https://twitter.com/...161159739023360(just scroll down)

No offense meant to you, but I don't take that to mean Bioware intends us to wear armor as a default in the castle. I saw too many minutes of Twitch footage with the Inquisitor wearing the beige uniform in Skyhold to believe that.

Also, maybe I'm living wrong but my real life underwear doesn't have any gold metal embellishments. (Ok, maybe the good stuff does but those embellishments are tiny.)

Yeah maybe that perk point that increases the search radius might be useful now if that's true. Because right now it just makes things even harder to locate, which is quite hilarious.

I really dreaded getting that perk but I needed it for the better lockpicking.

How big is the patch download, may I ask?

I started Origin earlier and it was updating but turns out it was a beta update to the Origin client. No idea how to find out if the patch is up and ready.

I did not get any update. Maybe it's a client update, not the DAI?
