got it work, instruction said that once i done it i should delete -ShaderSystem.ShaderQualityLevel High, or did i get it wrong, would it not change things back if i del it?

just when the official hotfix is out

at the moment you force the game to use this shader no matter what your ingame settings are, with the hotfix the game will be able again to change the shader dependent on you ingame settings

So what about mantle performance? It became less stuttery then before for me, but still gives 5-7 fps less then DX. Is this common, or should I try to reinstall the driver?

Here you go, few posts from twitter:

1. @dragonage so the patch that was said to improve stability now makes the game crash more any word on when this will be fixed

@SiniterShinigam We're aware of this and dev is investigating. Sorry for the inconvenience.

2. It appears that we can longer have scars in #DAI after today's patch?

@Qeilla We're aware of this and dev is investigating. Sorry for the inconvenience.

3.everyone now has shiny hair too even though I'm using ultra/high settings for everything

@NeensLewis We're aware of this and dev is investigating. Sorry for the inconvenience.

So yeah, even answer is like copy, paste

Dear God. They are starting to sound like Blizzard. Hold me guys.

used mantle the whole time, so dont know about directx, but patch+mantle+the new omega driver gives me a big performance boost (using no fps counter so cant tell exact numbers, but its visible)

Same here. Although the performance boost can also be caused by forced lower settings I didn't really noticed. At least it seems it's performing a lot smoother in higher resolutions (at least in 1800p).

There's still stuttering occasionally but I don't think it's too distracting. This can also be a driver issue since it was mentioned in the driver release notes.

The fog bug is still there by the way, as is the flickering moon in those regions that show one.

try to deinstall your graphic drivers completely (look for a manual online) and reinstall the newest drivers after it

ah good to know. but i never use fps counters because when i dont see the difference it it doesnt make a difference :D just sometimes when talking to others its better to be able to throw numbers around instead a vague "its better" :D

So when this hotfix will be available?? Another days/weeks waiting for a patch for a patch?!?

Or maybe we will get more than a fix for shiny hairs/broken mesh settings in this ''hotfix''??

Are you guys experiencing any freezes during loading? For me Mantle also gave a performance boost but the game freezes once in every 2-3 loadings (changing areas, loading saves, game startup etc.).

Things I've been finding so far:

- Some objects floating in the air. More than before some of them seem to have lost their position and rotation, like some stones.

- Some objects cannot be collected, although they are there and should be.

- I found a rift that did not react to my presence. Demons didn't appear and I couldn't even interact with it to close it.

- With Varric and Solas on my team, they don't stop having the same conversation about C******s over and over.

- On Exalted Plains, once you get rid of demons on the fortresses, there's a dialog line that npc's never stop repeating, like 7/8 times in less than 2 minutes. Something like "Can't wait to get back to fight" or something like that.

- I'm still getting DirectX errors every now and then that kick me out to desktop (last nvidia drivers, no overclock, and last...everything).

- Some effects, after some fights, remain visible, though dead enemies have already disappeared.

- Loading times, every first time you load an area on that playing session is too long.

- I've found characters sliding instead of walking (npc's), or suddenly appearing from the sky.

- Sometimes, some npc's change their position abruptly after talking to them. Like you interrupted their rutine and they start it again where it should be if you didn't interact with them.

- Some companions also walk/run sliding, with no animation, for a short period of time.

- Still have some problems with sound effects. Sometimes I have to pause and restart gameplay to hear all of them.

- I found that subtitles for lyrics for the songs of the bard don't show properly. They're not synchronized with the singing.

- A boost to performance would be much appreciated. Specially at towns (like Red Cliff), framerate drops drastically when the rest of the game runs smooth.

I tried the workaround what Bioware suggested, but it didn't work for me, still stuttering like hell (it did not stutter before the patch and was playable). I play on low/off settings and with medium textures (on a notebook with core i3 2350m 2.3Ghz, 8GB ddr3 1333Mhz Ram, Nvidia Geforce GT630m 1GB, windows7 64bit, resolution: 1280x720).I guess it only solve problems on higher end machines and on higher graphic settings.

I hope Bioware will solve the stuttering and not just the graphic gliches.
