I tried the workaround what Bioware suggested, but it didn't work for me, still stuttering like hell (it did not stutter before the patch and was playable). I play on low/off settings and with medium textures (on a notebook with core i3 2350m 2.3Ghz, 8GB ddr3 1333Mhz Ram, Nvidia Geforce GT630m 1GB, windows7 64bit, resolution: 1280x720).I guess it only solve problems on higher end machines and on higher graphic settings.

I hope Bioware will solve the stuttering and not just the graphic gliches.

Indeed, as someone who was playing fine on low/medium settings before the patch and was absolutely fine, the game has become unplayable now. Hotfix doesn't do anything for the stuttering.

Thanks for the prompt patching Bioware, here is hoping it'll solve some if not all of our issues.

I'd like to know if the behaviors screen is being fixing for ultrawide monitors 21:9 this patch, its very annoying having a large portion of that screen hidden by the black bar on the left of the screen.

***edit for typos***

This... I have to switch back to 1080p if I wanna change any behaviors... also I guess there is no hope for cutscenes being rendered in 21:9?

without the hotfix i got extrem long loading times but no freezes. with hotfix everything is fine again and still no freezes

Maybe it's one of the game settings. Although it could be something specific to my rig as well. I'll mess about with the them to see if I can pinpoint the cause. Mind telling me on what settings you're running the game?

Like this?

ar u have Nvidia gc? if so, then it's a common problem.

I'm having that problem too, AMD graphics though. (R9 270X R w/4G of V RAM and 8G of RAM)

As well as all the graphical problems listed with the 90 pages before, which could be fixed with the 'work around'. (not that we should HAVE to use a work around)

Are you also having a problem where your game flickers to desktop on loadscreens?

I'm now worried that the hot fix wont fix any other problems other than the graphical ones.

used mantle the whole time, so dont know about directx, but patch+mantle+the new omega driver gives me a big performance boost (using no fps counter so cant tell exact numbers, but its visible)

Made a clean reinstall, didn't help, still getting lower fps and loadscreens are becoming as long as Iron Bull's weapon. Guess i'm just unlucky, back to DX.

I have found that with meshes on ultra using the work around... not only do I have the best graphics, I have zero issues.

I think the hitching has to be dependent on the machine folks are using. I had quite a bit of slow downs and the like pre-patch.

I am very disappointed by dragon age inquisition!
potential seems very big, but what a disappointment after the first fight engaged with my 3 companions.

1- you can not assign more than one action per character, move or hit why ???
2-zoom camera is not practical and need more range and adjustment.

3- But the worst fail is ...

How to make a real tactical combat, if each action we take is not pure strategic, but pure chance?

Just think about that, the Pause button is a awful because it's not turn by turn, we have to decide when to start or finish "the turn" obviously we clik too early or too late, how it is possible to make real strategy if each action move, hit, heal, use potions etc, is in real time for each charcater?

it's more like ffa game with no strategy, just pray and look at the mess after you start pause buton

you wanted to satisfay all the players, action and tactical, but you did anything, this game is not a tactical rpg, and not rpg Action

very big disappointment, these fights ruin the whole game

i REALLY love turn based strategy, but to expect da:i to be a tbs game is a little stupid. and yes you can still play tactical, you can play rts tactical too, its just different compared to tbs

i dont expect a tbs or rts game, i expected a dragon age like game.

a dragon age game like before who each action we make is done after reflexion and not in "real time" action rpg game.

For that kind of game, i loved mass effect or mmorpg.

its my fault obviously, should know mechanics of the 1rst dragon age is over.

On the upside the flying pants in the cutscene when you close the first rift are no longer present. Hope if fixes some other cutscene problems.

It 's insane.  How can a mainstream Software developer be so incompetent?  I am lost for words honestly.

Just give it to the modders, they will have the lot fixed before tea-time.

Things I've been finding so far:

- Loading times, every first time you load an area on that playing session is too long.

- I've found characters sliding instead of walking (npc's), or suddenly appearing from the sky.

These have happpened in my playthroughs since launch.  The fourth companion in a party always seems to drop from the sky when I load into an area.  And loading screens still are long for a new area.

Yeah but it sucks for us who were playing the game absolutely fine on lower end machines, and suddendly we can't anymore.

Hotfix didn't work for me. Well I thought I was being smart by uninstalling DAI, turning off automatic updates in Origin, and then reinstalling fresh. Because i had no issues previously.

Now I get the message "An Update for DAI is available. You will not be able to play the game until the update is installed."

Even in offline mode.

Really?!

F***ING REALLY?!

God damn it goodbye access to my Keep story.

I honestly think us PC players got the XBox 360 or PS3 patch. Have they got some new recruits in-training doing the patching? It just seems like such a bloody amateur job that i find it hard to believe the more veteran employees from Bioware made this.

I give up. Done. Finito. For anyone who hasn't installed the patch, for the love of the maker DO NOT INSTALL THIS PATCH.

Yes that's why i said that, in origin mechanic was so good we could realy decide each action for all group and make strategy even its no turns.

on DA3  as we see on video, the most interesting is to play one character like any rpg game (love tps or fps action rpg too) and let your team mates do the job by themselves.

it's not bad if u expect that game. For me, i expect more a game like the DA1.

now i know that i will play like DA3 like any tps action rpg and that's all. but still disppointment for me

my graphics card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 645, in some places, i don't think it graphic issue, but in some places i see shutter or how to call in, example snow in skyrim, in skyrim in PC that was replaced cause, how to say it, it broke down, in there snow blinked away & down it was another snow, like 2 lairs of snow & what disappears for a moment & then its back, it was in one area one place, something similar i so in DAI when i repaired the bridge to visit the 3 dragons other side (bridge repair place was buggy that way, the attachment part, the line where old part & new repaired meet, or how to explain it), & always at same place, so in mite be world build defect, like the bridge & repaired part do not match 100% together, i did not mention this in my EA forum cause places where i see it are rare, so it does not bother me much, but i wonder is it graphical issue or slight world build  error

I hear you.. And if you look for the file dates in the game folder after installing this patch (PC version) you will see that the last modification has been made on 2 dec 2014, so they have more than a week to test it.. Yeah right.

Same GPU (no SLI), same settings, crashes 5 min after loading a save O.o. Impossibru! Seriously, this must me something about my rig. I can still run this game at high settings with Dx11 at 60 fps (some occasional drops to 45) but I though Mantle could make it consistent 60 all the time. Thought wrong I guess :/.

on Playstation 4 graphics quality has also declined. The problem is not as serious as the PC, still has the scars. But the textures are less detailed, is visible on the grass, clothing and especially wet rocks.

A new patch will be available for you there soon as PS4? If I uninstall my game and I reinstalled without the patch, is that I can load a save with the patch?

i noticed that to, bad companion control, when i was fighting annoying dragon that summons dragonlings i wanted my tank to keep dragon busy, but no when i'm killing dragonlings my Tank comes to attack the one i am fighting, i was pissed & started to use bug with dragons, ferry long range attack, at my range limit with mage i attacked dragon & dragon wont do nothing to me at that range, just lets me attack, 2 long range spells + staff & it took 15min - 30min, i did not take time, its just how it felt, but final blows is good idea to do close range or dragon wont drop any items, with bad companion control its almost impossible to kill that kind of a dragon even if hes 2 lever lower then u, so i rather used the bug
