I'd love a Templar Archer, but a Saarebas and Darkspawn Disciple are close to the top of my list.

Sooner or later, there will be a 2h with Walking Fortress. And there will be much rejoicing.

I've posted several SP ideas here http://forum.bioware...estions-thread/ which can be adapted for MP as well.

Basically I'd like to see:

  • Mage with buffs (cleric/spirit healer type, but not with healing necessarily).
  • Rogue/mage and Mage/rogue
  • Telekinetic classes akin to revenants, can be rogues of warriors (rogue idea in the thread above)
  • Shapeshifters (properly done)
  • Pet based classes, like ranger or demonologist

Some shapeshifter ideas:

Shapeshifter can essentially circumvent the 4 ability limit (or 8 ability limit in SP) with having 4 forms each having 3 abilities (+1 go back ability). So essentially that's 12 abilities per class, with one limitation that they can not be used simultaneously. This opens up some huge versatility options. It shouldn't be as good as dedicated classes but it should be able to do anything. Shapeshifter stats should be based on gear, unlike DA:O to make it viable.

Some example form Ideas:

Swarm of insects (the coolest form concept wise from DA:O imo) - AOE form

Stat changes:

  • no attack
  • deals 100% poison WD to all surrounding enemies per second
  • takes half damage from targeted attacks
  • takes double damage from aoe
  • restores 1% health on hit

(some of these can be made into passives improving the form)

Abilities:

  • Possession - insects fly into the targeted enemy taking control of his nervous system. Usable only on non boss enemies under 50% health. You gain direct control of the target and heal 1% health for every second in possession while decreasing target's health by 5% per second (target is healed to full health on possession). You can use an active ability to leave the body making it explode into cloud of insects dealing damage proportional to the remaining health to everyone nearby.
  • Dash - Fade step equivalent, deals poison damage
  • Fury of the Swarm - Deals 250% poison WD per second in 6m area around the caster for the duration. Consumes 5 mana/sec.

Spider - CC form

Stat changes:

  • melee attacks at double damage (damage buff to compensate for range loss)
  • Permanently active basic poison weapon
  • Automatic crits against incapacitated opponents
  • restores 20% health for every enemy killed in the web

(again some of these can be made into passives improving the form)

Abilities:

  • Web - creates a 3m web around the caster. it deals poison damage and slows down everyone passing through it. Multiple webs can be placed simultaneously
  • Paralyzing spit - ranged attack that deals 300% poison WD and paralyses the target. Low cd.
  • Lay eggs - usable only on paralyzed or sleeping target. Marks a target for 10 seconds with 150% WD poison DoT. If the target dies in 10 seconds a couple of small spiders emerge from it under your command.

Bronto - tank form

Stat changes:

  • melee attacks at double damage
  • melee attacks are aoe
  • 50% armor increase
  • Threat generation +50%
  • +25% magic resist

Abilities:

  • Bull's charge
  • Unbowed
  • Slam (200% WD aoe strike with knockdown)

Red lion - single target dps/ambush form

Stat changes:

  • melee attacks at double damage
  • 50% AP
  • 50% Movement speed increase
  • Every attack out of stealth crits

Abilities

  • Stealth
  • Evade
  • Flurry of claws - 6 x 300% WD hits

  • III Poison III aime ceci

Can't believe none of us mentioned Grey Wardens as a class!

Well, I suppose Grey Warden is more of an organization with secret ritualistic joining rather than an actual class with distinct abilities.

I'll wager that Darkspawns will be a new type of enemy in near future.

I could see shapeshifter abilities being used as a sort of attack, rather than a completely new form.

It will not be a very popular theory, of course.

abilities could include

Swarm surge - you body bursts into a deadly swarm of stinging insects. For X seconds, you deal X poison damage to enemies. It could function to a much more slower fade step spell.

Strength of the great bear- you shift into the form of a great bear for X seconds. Your melee attacks when upgraded have an X % chance of knocking down your target.

Fury of the Drake- For X seconds you assume the form of a mighty drake, your basic attacks being the fire spit attacks. An upgrade could be a duration and burning damage increase.

Again, im sure people would prefer shapeshifting more akin to origins, but with how abilities now work in inquisition, i feel in this presentation the skills would function without any real technical difficulty.

Id also like to see a Qunari Archer with access to bursting arrow and flask of fire.
And flask of lightning of course ;)

I also want to see Rivaini Seer character. Being a more support role, with access to most of the spirit tree, the knight enchanters resurgence spell, and offensively use energy barrage and static cage or pull of the abyss for CC.

And id like to see a Fog warrior character. Maybe with enhanced stealth, fog bombs and other grenade or blade skills.
Maybe make it even more unique, giving a warrior access to stealth and a new bomb ability. That would be neato :D

First of all bioware rocks in my books loved me3mp to death.

These are some class ideas:
1. Warden (uses the power of the taint )
2. Spirits ( like the one that joined anders)
3. Shape shifter ( Morrigan style)
4. Blood mage
5. Golems (shale style)
6. Mabari war hound
7. Templar archer
8. Awakened darkspawn
9. Saarebas
10. Slyvannes
11. Bard
12. Void walker
13. Berserker (orghen style)
14. Seeker ( supposedly trained differently to templars
15. Death knight ( warrior with necro abilities )

Also there should be a male and female versions of each class. Some of us would prefer to play a male templar and a female hunter lol.

All we need is a playable Revenant and the blood mage idea sounds pretty good too.

The Revenant with a good Spirit idea seems to be pulling more and more attention lately and due to its uniqueness and it matches the area of the breach(doubt it only affected demons) we could possibly seen it as a new tank type warrior, I think there was a void something that was mentioned by a developer cant remember where sadly as the mage class, pretty sure bards will be seen as not only a MP but as a SP as there lore is mentioned to be agents which is basically what we are in the MP.

Honestly, I could see a Revenant character becoming the Geth Juggy of DA MP.  That could be why it's such a popular idea.

Well as Solas has said spirits shape themselves to the thoughts around them including demons so we could get a female spirit of compassion less like coles style compassion(or humanity if chosen in SP) and it takes the form closer to a desire due to peoples fear of spirits(blame Templars).

We need Fenris/Tevinter Fugitive/Lyrium Runemaster. Most fun I've had with a DA class.

I know it just started as a game, but I can't get ME3's multiplayer out of my head. I wish I stayed around long enough because when I went back to it (having stopped before the Vorcha came out) there were so many classes and options that I wished I could try them all. Now, I like the classes here for the most part. They're fun in their own way. I still cannot, however, wait for the  new ideas and new classes. Enemy classes are likely, I would assume. Venatori, Red templar, DEMONS? I can't wait for more maps, more enemies. I can't way for entirely new concepts of mages and warriors. Obviously this will be a playground for the devs to find out what is fun and what isn't fun about the combat in this game on a broad scale. This will be like the best kind of beta playtest for future DA titles I can imagine. I don't see much of a change in engine for the next DA game honestly, and I hope they focus more on animations and optimization while still getting the game out quickly.

Anyway, I know they said they were going to throw more support into the DAMP than in ME3's MP, and I believe I remember them saying faster too. When do you expect there will be more classes?

Also, I know there are weird bugs and I've lost my fair share of experience, but we can be excited about what is coming next while they work on fixing what is already messed up.

After the holidays is a safe bet. They alluded to as much on the most recent twitch stream. I'm not sure on new classes but there'll be an expansion Jan/Feb.
