Is this the ultimate anti-dragon weapon? It has to be. Especially with Flask of Lightning.
Today I finally got the chance to fight the 3 Dragons on Emprise du Lion. The other 7 Dragons went down without much of a challenge (playing on Nightmare), but those 3 are believed to be tougher.
To my surprise Hivernal and Kaltenzahn were some of the easiest dragons in the game. I took them down one after the other. I just didn't go straight to the 3rd because I had to fill up my Focus meter. Honestly I have had Red Templar encounters more challenging than those Dragons.
My part was well prepare too - my Inquisitor is a Rift Mage heavily built in the Fire tree; Iron Bull (not an optimal choice, just brought along him to build up his approval), Cassandra and the the most important member, Sera. This elf lady equipped with the Longbow of the Griffon is absurdity itself.
Anyway, Highland Ravager was a little tougher, took me 5 healing potions and more than 5 minutes (no other Dragon except the Hinterlands one took me this long, seriously). I wasn't well prepared, my mostly Fire-built mage was a mere support Barrier-casting mage this time around. I could have re-spec as an Ice mage, but... reasons. Also, I had Sera.
Anyway, for people having trouble beating Dragons I recommend trying the Longbow of the Griffon, Flask of Lightning, high Attack and as many buffs as you can put in. It will make your life a lot easier, and will get some sweet loot as a plus.

How does the 3-shot thing work, exactly? Does it literally triple your damage, or is that just wishful thinking on my part?
