I know its a small thing but its really bugging me. Why are the Seekers of Truth wearing Templar Order armor? Even the Lord Seeker wears Templar armor. The Seekers have their own armor in DA2 and the Lambert is even described as wearing the black Seeker armor in Asunder, so why are they all wearing Templar armor in Inquisition? You'd think at least they'd wearing the Coat variant Cassandra uses.

I just don't understand it.

Because they threw in their lot with the Templars, lead them now, and are/were trying to make their own army and "Chantry alternative" based on Templars.

Or so I gather.

Yeah but they'd already made the Seeker of Truth armours for DA2. There's plenty of other random odd ends of equipment that show up in DA:I. Why not this?

I doubt it's lack of resources. This game has a lot of armor variety compared to the past.

They're not the Seekers anymore. They're making a whole new faction. Everyone is going crazy in Thedas. Even you and Cassandra and Leli are crazy, forming your own faction (Inquisition). That's all these Seekers and Templars are doing.

Cass keeps it real with her armor however.. and I like that. It's also why I don't want her as divine. She's born to be a Seeker. That's Varric's nickname for her, after all.

I think it might be over sight. I mean, cinematic scene of red tempalrs attacking haven, you got the lord seeker in deep dark-seeker armor as we usually have seen.

I think that's Samson not the Lord Seeker

I can't recall exactly, but didn't Cassandra mention that during times of extreme crisis, the Lord Seeker is given the task of taking charge over the Templars? Although that doesn't really explain the change of wardrobe...

I know, it's just closer to the original seeker armor since it's deep black. I think people could overlook the crest change, least I hope.

The Lord Seeker is possesed by Envy, and sees the Templars as his new vehicle for adulation.. he's creating a mad cult. Why wouldn't he want to sport the same garb. It's his new army now.

I guess that could make sense but when you track down Lucius and the Seekers of Truth later, they're still wearing Templar armor and not Seeker armor

Hm, so there is no Seeker armor in the game at all? I thought there would be, since there is a Seeker shield...

Well there are the variants of Cassandra's coat which have the Seekers emblem on them. And there is also the Seeker of Truth armour from DA2 which they could use. Either of those.

Also, if you play the Templar quest, you see that Envy picked the wrong vessel. He realizes you're so much cooler and more influential and wants to control you and take control of the Inquisition.

No doubt, he'd be in Inquistion armor instead, if he won. He just wears what's in style. He envies whoever has the power. For him, it was the Templars for a time.

There is a Seeker wearing the correct armor during Cassandra's personal quest.

Well it looked like Templar armor colored black, it was hard to see it properly the way he was hunched over but I am sure it's not regular Templar armor.

Hmm. I'll have to take a proper look the next time I do that quest then. That would be even stranger though. They designed the armor used it for one Seeker and put the rest in Templar armor? That just makes me want to know even more!

Seekers are Templars.

Seekers are typically chosen from the elite ranks of the templars and used to train at isolated fortresses such as Therinfal Redoubt in Ferelden. In their roles as overseers of the Templar Order and the right hand of the Divine, they serve as the Chantry's investigators and are given considerable latitude to function outside the law.The leadership hierarchy of the Seekers runs parallel to that of the templars, although a senior Seeker outranks any templar.

They use the rite of tranquility and reverse it with the use of a spirit to gain their powers and be able to use similar Templar Powers without Lyrium (except more special snowflake abilities). Their gear is much darker colouring than normal Templar gear but they are still templars. Cassandra is the right hand of the Divine and a Seeker, her armour is probably "special" like the Lord Seeker so they have to stand out.

Also, could be just time constraint and cut content, which is most likely the cause.

Yes I know they're Templars in terms of combat abilities, but they're still depicted in Dawn of the Seeker, DA2 and Asunder with their own uniform.* I know in reality it was probably a practical consideration like time constraint but thematically for some reason it really bothers me. I dunno, maybe patch the Uniform?

The dudes beside Lucius in that scene are Red Templars, not Seekers and we could argue that Lucius abandoned the Seekers when he joined up with Corypheus.

I'm guessing that they didn't feel like they had to implement a unique model for them and just went with the templar armour.
