hello guys, from long time opening chest after chest looking for a good staff yesterday i get to drops, the 1st one a lvl 20 rare with some nasty crisitcals stats, and after a couple of hours i get veil fury with some interesting and good effect with veil strike on hit.

 

Ive been testing both staff and i cant decide witch one roll. here some pic for the discuss. 

 

Stats is on Spanish but i can translate if don't understand the stats.

A ) 69 damage: 35 magic + veil strike on hit. 2% seen slow but its casted very regularly.

B )59 damage: 15% critical bonus + 16% critical chance.

 

edit: btw dont mind the Runes, lest focus in the statf

I run that Fury of the Veil staff. Was that its name? At least on most of my mages. The Veilstrike is the upgraded version, too. That's what sold me.

I'd go for the Veil Strike staff. The 35 Magic should give you something like 17.5% attack, which is the best "stat" of the game. Also, it has better base damage which will affect all your spells (%weapon damage). Finally, a free Veil Strike cast isn't too shaby either...

its make sence 35*0.5=17.5% critical, good tips.

 

I think with yours recommendations i have my answer. Thanks guys

Agreed.  It's got a higher base damage and with a better rune in it, it should out damage the crit staff by a fair amount.

damn, I'd be happy with either staff.  I do agree with others here though, Furia del Velo sounds pretty awesome.

Just give the Furia del Velo a soberbia rune and BAM! 152 dps
