I remember from one of the game play demos released ages ago that the inquisitor was given a choice to either save a town or infiltrate a castle (or something like that) - the demo chose the castle option and then they returned to find the town destroyed.
I've been to every major playable area (some not fully explored yet) but haven't see anything resembling this - does anyone know if it was cut/where it takes place? (Without spoilers pref)
Have I missed something?

Me, too! But it's gone. Kinda funny, because they banged that drum pretty hard in some of the early promo materials, that scene of Varric kneeling sadly next to a body, poof. Looked like fun.
