Playthrough State not compatible with exported Editable State

Hi,

this morning, I went on the Keep to check if the Inquisition data was now live. Browsing through the World States, I discovered something that provoked distress.

In the World States section, there are 3 sub-sections. First one is Editable States. In there, I see my saved and locked world state that was used to export data into Inquisition when I first started my playthrough. I can confirm that it was used based on the small icons in the profile section ("Used on start of new DAI game", with a green check mark and I validated the time in Inquisition).

In the Playthrough States sub-section, I see a problem. There are 2 states available. One seems to be completely off: Origins warden is a character I never played, DA2 champion is a character I never played, DAI inquisitor is a male with no name, which I never created.

The second state available is the one that provoked panic. Origins warden is a character I never played, DA2 champion is a character I never played, but DAI inquisitior is my current character!!!

Does that mean I'm not using the World State I want????

DAI doesn't import char names or portaits for DAO or DA2 so when the Keep reimports the data from DAI it uses the default names and portraits.

For the first one, did you do anything odd during character creation, such as back out or restarted? Some people are getting a random male quizzy due to their actions during CC.

As for the other one, what do you mean "Never played" As ranadiel mentioned the defaults will always show up but do you mean that combination? Such as it showed up as a dwarf rouge when it was suppose to be a female elf mage?

Yeah, I think you are both right. I copied the Playthrough State to Editable States and only the portrait and name seems to be off (default). All other decisions seem to be alright. Woot!!

PS: Devil's Avocado, I probably did that yeah. I bought the game on PC and created a character (that's where I probably back out). But my PC wasn't strong enough to run the game smoothly, so I got a refund (Great Game Garanty from Origin) and bought it on PS4, where I created another character (this one seems ok).

Thanks everyone for helping answer questions! Another thing to note - the playthrough state that appears in slot 1 will always be your most recent save.

Unlike the other ones that seem to like to change positions. <_<

Can't wait to delete them :P

This is very helpful to know. I was wondering which order the playthrough states were in, and I guessed the reverse of what it actually is.

Hum... that's disturbing. On my side, Slot 1 of the Playthrough State (default name Playthrough 1) is occupied by a male inquisitor with no name, which I never played... while slot 2 (default name Playthrough 2) is occupied by a female inquistor with the name of my character in DAI.

Have you recently started the character creator and not finished it? If you quit or crash before you finish character creation, the default male with no name will appear in your playthrough state.

Can't remember if I did that on my current playthrough. It never crashed, I'm sure of that. Did I start (creating character), then stop and started again on my PS4 version of the game, don't remember. Any way to resync this?

Another one should pop up.

I'm just looking forward to them instituting the delete function in various areas of the site. There is just so much crap cluttering things up.
