The more I play Dragon Age: Inquisition the more I love Cole. He is the most honest and resonable person i the game. If you listen to Cole there's a clear meaning in everything he says, and the way he says it.

Cole is pure lyrics.

To begin with you shake your head a bit, and then... well, you just head on to more important things in your game. Sure.

Cole is wisdom. He is, compressed into one word: Sensibility.

I like that.

I think it is very long ago since I saw a character that breaks through like Cole does. He is unique. Definetely not a character you see a lot in neither movie, books nor games.

Cole is wisdom.


Cole has a future. That is if Bioware dares to continue his personality?

Is Cole that 'dawn that will come' they are singing about between Haven and Skyhold?

Well, to be pedantic, Cole is Compassion, not Wisdom... lol.

 

But yeah, he's a good character. Helped by a very suitable voice actor.

Cole really won me over too. Already liked him from Asunder, but I think Weekes did a great job picking up the character.

Cole is great and his requirement and personal quest are some of my favorite part of the game. When he just appears on the war table I cheered a little.

I adore my little spirit buddy. His introduction during the templar quest is great and gives us a good reason to trust him even for characters who are wary at best of spirits/demons (as most would be in this world). The voice actor really manages to capture that strange combination of guileless kindness and otherworldliness, insight and naivete. He's pretty much replaced Varric as my go-to rogue, though I do like Varric too and like running them together sometimes because their banter is among my favourites. Still, nothing beats the Cole-Solas combo -- I rather liked Solas from the start, but seeing Cole bring out a "fond mentor" side in him made me like him even more. I really wish we could have more than three companions so I didn't have to juggle my favourites all the time and worry about missing something from any of them (Cassandra, Solas, Cole, Varric as my "inner circle" in that order, with Dorian next in line).

 

Did anyone else take away Cole's daggers and give him a bow to help with survival? I felt guilty for going for an OOC spec for him, but the combat in this game is too unresponsive and shallow for me to enjoy babysitting a squishy melee DPS.

He's pretty cool, but I found his habit of reciting his inner monologue to be annoying. I got enough of that with Thane.

I love Cole. He's got a great heart and I love the way he helps people. The comments he makes about other Bioware games is awesome, too.

Nah, Cole is cool, but it seems like almost every companion hate him even more than Vivienne, especially Sera who trolls everybody but straight out refuse to even speak to Cole. Cole is a nice kid, but he just needs to learn some etiquette and not peek into people's mind.

Huh, I actually found that most companions get along with him. Cassandra is the most wary of my bunch, of course, and even she had a moment or two in which she seemed to soften a bit. Also, I got a good laugh out of Cole popping up during the "caught reading Varric's book" scene and stating that she had read that one to him out loud three times. Dorian is weirded out at first but also fascinated. Varric and Solas are, of course, fond of and helpful towards the little guy in their own unique ways. The only other companion I've used is Blackwall, who is as wary as Cassandra and even more standoffish about it.

 

The other three don't get used anyway, so eh, if they don't like Cole that's their problem.

Really? I'd always thought that Blackwall eventually turns more or less into Cole's grumpy old uncle. He's initially suspicious, but so is everyone. The only reason Blackwall was ever wary of the little guy was because of... yanno.

Really? I'd always thought that Blackwall eventually turns more or less into Cole's grumpy old uncle. He's initially suspicious, but so is everyone. The only reason Blackwall was ever wary of the little guy was because of... yanno.

 

Yeah, Blackwall warms up to him a bit. Same with Cassandra. She actually seems to start caring for him eventually, it's pretty sweet. 

 

The only ones I'd say outright dislike Cole are Vivienne and Sera. Varric and Solas definitely get along the best with him. I really liked how they both took him under their wings. :S

Yep, Blackwall warms up to Cole. Iron Bull is also really nice to him "Cole, you might be a weird squirrelly kid, but you're my weird squirrelly kid."

 

And as Snook said while I typed, only Vivienne and Sera don't like him.

Awesome character (he died on me a lot during fights tho... ) But anyway, I was glad to see the continuation of Cole from Asunder and was left breathless at what I experienced in the game. I love Cole.

I thought I wouldn't like Cole when I first heard about the character concept, but once getting into the game he turned out to be one of my favorites. I chose the Templar path and Cole won me over

I didn't really know what to expect since I haven't read Asunder.

I wasn't sure what to make of him not having read the books.  But damn, he's got my mothering instinct all fired up.

I love Cole. He reminds me of Clementine from The Walking Dead.

Love Cole too but i HATE how Vivienne talks to him. Reading Asunder I thought "omg I'm taking him everywhere and I'm gonna talk to him often" but he doesn't seem as lonely in inquisition as he did in Asunder, he still in my party alot tho

My Inquisitor was very 'mother bear' where Cole was concerned
I could blame it on being pregnant, or I could just admit that he was written really well.

Cole has my big sister instincts kicking in to level 11, not only is he adorable but something about him reminds me so much of my own little brother that I rarely see so I wanna hug and just protect him every time I talk to him. From the few banters I've heard I've so far loved his the very best he's such a sweet boy.

Cole... I thought, I would hate him, but instead he was Awesomeness, pure.

 

Sadly, I don't take him out, as I can't have a fragile Character in the Melee. Same Problem I had with Isabela and Zevran. Awesome People, but terribly low Health.
