Warden Commander(HoF).
because he is a Chuck Norris of Thedas.

I consider the Hero of Ferelden to be the most powerful in combat.
I enjoyed the champion more because he felt like the ringleader of a gang of buddies.
The inquisitor seems more of a figurehead of a powerful organisation.

I feel the strongest connection to the Inquisitor. I love my Warden, but it's hard to compare a silent protagonist to a voiced one.
Well, that is when they are both strong characters. Then there's Hawke. Wah wah.......
Inquisitor > Warden >>>>>>>>> Hawke
Also, my Inquisitor is not the Herald of Andraste. He's very clear about that.

Probably varies from player to player. In solo combat, my Hawke would be the strongest. Unscrupulous, badass, extremist maleficar is not someone you want to go up against without some serious firepower.
In party combat or better yet Xanatos Speed Chess, the Inquisitor. She's also just my favorite character to play, the first one that I've actually wanted to keep playing after the game ended.

Inquisitor Cadash, because he has power, influence, an real personality, a character arc that I crafted myself, and could be one of the most important people in Thedas. That alone is more than Hawke and Aeducan.

My Warden is still the one I'm most attached to. Not sure I'm going to get into any of my future DA pro-tags quite as much as I did her. Probably because I felt much more like she was my crafted character rather than one I was puppeteering. Inquisitor was better than Hawke in that regard, but she didn't dethrone my Mahariel.
I do like my snarky Hawke and Inquisitor, though.
Combat? Probably Inquisitor.

Champion would knock them out in single combat, but really, who goes out in the field without friends. I imagine that Hawke doesn't really give commands and she just trust her companions to watch her back.
Warden is a leader and tactician so he'd dominate party combat. Put him and his close allies against an entire darkspawn horde and the horde will be feeling outnumbered. I imagine the Hero always in control of the battlefield, telling when and where each skill can or should be used.
Inquisitor is like a mix between the two, he does good in both fields, but he doesn't excel in them like the other two.
Personally, I think the Warden is the best.

Hero of Ferelden. He couldn't be the Inquisitor because he would've beaten the game killed Corypheus in Haven and then people would really complain that DA:I was too short.
After him the Inquistor because he cleans up Hawke's Blondie's mess.

Hawke>Inquisitor>Warden
Hawke is a real guy with a real and sad story behind him. With that I can relate.
Yep. Hawke was the most human for me. The bulk of her problems were real life problems which helped me to empathize with her more.

My HoF is a badass elven Arcane Warrior with the power of the taint to back her up and an ex-assassin at her side. On top of all that, she's a good person simply doing her best to save Thedas.
There is still nobody who tops her in my book.
Hawke was just a doofy human who was in the right place at the right time and managed to luck into having a badass elven warrior at her side.
The inquisitor was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time with a bunch of stupid humans who built her up to godlike status against her will. And her elven god boyfriend left her. Yeah, I really feel sorry for her, but man it sucks for her to be all I have at the moment.
(Sorry not sorry for being such an elf lover.)

My main problem with this. I'd rather not be forced to play as a human in a world populated with much more interesting races. I get that Hawke's story was a specific one that they wanted to tell, but it really took away a major form of choice and customization that I enjoy in the DA series. I hope that they never return to forcing us to be a human protagonist again.

I would be stuck between Hawke and the Herald. They would be a lot more powerful than my warden though, he was a healer primarily.
