I forgot about that, but its one of those things that I would want to fully trust her but I don't kind of things, if that makes sense to you. In the first walkthrough that I did, she didnt have a child. As you said she might have become more mature than she was in Origins since it has been over ten years since the events of the first game.Doesn't she just want to preserve old magic and knowledge? If it was Origins I would be less inclined to trust her. But she was a lot more mature in Inquisition, maybe because she was a mother.

In my second playthrough, I have 25 points in Genre Savviness and will drink from the well myself.

I think my Dalish elf mage will drink from it too, I think. In this world state Morrigan doesn't have a child, so I suppose it will be very different from last time, where she had the old God child.
But then I won't see her turn into a dragon

My human warrior was 'oh hell no' on drinking it, but when I do a dailish, I probably will. I look forward to seeing what repercussions that has in the next game, because an inquisitor with that hanging over them strikes me as seriously bad news.

Morrigan. Good character dev, plus her being tied to Mythal for ever is grand. Also Morrigan helping it her battle with Cory and turning into a dragon>that lame tamed dragon

I allowed Morrigan to do it. It was fairly obvious at that point that she's merely a power-hungry naive wench (No offence Morrigan fans) who cares nothing for the consequences of her actions. Which in my opinion is further highlighted afterwards IF she has that abomination/Child. So my Dalish Mage gladly watched her drink.

Morrigan, Inquisitor, Morrigan, Morrigan and I don't know yet.

I had my Human Mage drink from it and probably will continue to do so, as even being savvy enough to know that it comes with a price, I think my Inquisitor's are more inclined to take that risk upon themselves rather than let it go to Morrigan, who as they point out has her child to consider and who's motives still remain something of a mystery to them at this point? (Even though my Inquisitors tend to like Morrigan a great deal).
My rationality is that since we've already got the Mark, taking the ancient knowledge and burden upon ourselves really doesn't change how difficult our life is going to be in the future, as we've already got a ton of people gunning for us. As one of the lines from the beginning of the game so aptly put it, "I've been in constant danger since I stepped out of the Fade".

Oh yeah. I damn near killed myself laughing, when Morrigan found out she was back under Flemeth's thumb.

I let her drink. Then I got to the Fade part and was like "Hell, no! You are not taking his soul, I will drink myself so Morrigan could kill you!"
Except it turns out you don't even have an option to fight Flemeth if you are bound to her.
However, I finished the game my second choice. It's more interesting to hear voices all by yourself. Plus, as much as I like Morrigan, she is not very trustworthy. And since I like Morrigan, can't really have her bound to Flemeth. It will be hell for her.
And now the leader of the most powerful order in the world is a slave to a vengeful, possibly insane elven goddess.
Thedas is so screwed. ![]()

That is a matter of opinion. NO ONE beside Morrigan views Flemeth as a threat. Were Flemeth the threat that the Witch claims her to be, why'd she save Maric? Or the Warden and Alistair, or Hawke?
EDIT to add: Morrigan claims to be a powerful Mage, yet she suddenly forgets that Spirits/Demons can't take over a Body without express concent from the 'owner' as it were. Anyone who played the Mage Origin in DA:O would know that straight away.

My human mage drank from it. I didn't trust Morrigan, or her motives. But I'll definitely let her drink it in my current playthrough.

I actually called that before it happened. The possibility was too amusing to be ignored.

On my human playthrough I let Morrigan drink. On my elf playthrough who romances Solas, it makes for more narrative drama to have her drink from the Well considering the implications of now being tied to Mythal/Solas.

Ditto, plus my elf is a mage which makes more sense, somehow. As First, part of her duty is to preserve, so it's logical that she'd take that step.

I do feel bad for her though. I'm not an aficionado of DA lore but Morrigan seems to really hate her mother.

Someone said if the inquisitor drinks, Flemmeth releases them from servitude. Is this true? Or are they bound to her forever just like Morrigan?

My male Trevelyan and female Cadash let Morrigan do it. The Trevelyan is an Andrastian (and wary of magic) and wanted no part of some elven ritual while my Cadash dislikes religion and ritual in general and could care less about a deity that's not even of her people.

I liked how that turned out after the reunion with Flemeth. Too funny...although I suppose now she is bound to the Dread Wolf.

Inquisitor drank because Dalish. Unsuprisingly didn't mind being bound to her goddess
But oh the lulz if you let Morrigan drink

Can you destroy the well? I had Morrigan drink.
I believe so. That option exists on the wheel on my playthrough. But I didn't take it since most of the companions were saying we need its power... except for Sera. Obviously.
My Dalish First drank from the Well. I felt like my character should drink and pay the price instead. From a personal view, I liked Morrigan so much that I didn't want her to pay the price (especially after I've seen her with OGB), no matter what the price really meant. And I'm glad after what I've seen happen after, ha.
Really curious the further ramification of the Price, however. Seriously. Just how far will that go...

Uh, no. I think the Price is permanent... Mythal still exists in some form, and Abelas has even mentioned that after the elven Gods were gone, the Well still existed and functioning.

I didn't know what the result would be, so I drank myself. Wasn't worth the risk of having Morrigan turn on me or having her get hurt, and I had like this extreme paranoia that she was secretly possessed by Flemeth or something, since I hadn't seen her yet.
Oh, how wrong I was. ![]()
I still prefer the outcome of drinking it yourself. Feels self-sacrifice-y and ties in well with the whole Solas/Mythal/Flemeth story line, especially if you're romanced to Solas.
