My Female Elven Inquisitor let Morrigan drink. She'd spent most of the game keeping the Anchor out of the grasping hands of a wanna-be God, she wasn't just going to hand control over to another one by binding herself to Mythal.

I actually made my fem!elven Inquisitor drink it, even though I was aware of what this means... With my reasoning being basically "Creepy voices in my head and being bound to an ancient elven god forever? How can I refuse omg cool must do it!" (guess I just like drama and putting my characters through misery...) This said, I am really curious as to what kind of consequences this decision will have.

I bet, like allowing Morrigan to have OGB, the consequences will be minimal. Unless Bioware becomes more daring. PC actions mean little in these games.

I let my Male Dalish Rogue drink. My RP was a devil may care/reluctant hero. Sort of a whole "I'm not the chosen one, but if I can save people then ok." motif. But when given the chance at some ancient power to stop Cory. I let him drink. Fueled by a hidden desire at more power when presented with it.
But the whole slave to a god thing... Yeah he probably should have thought that one through.

I have a Solas-romancing, Dalish mage planned, something of a Merrill as far as old elven things are concerned, and she'll drink from it. She'll probably be the only one of my IQs to do so.

I let Morrigan drink from it.
As much as I'd loved to troll her by taking it the thought of being a slave to some ancient probably crazy elven god was so much do not want.

I never drink strange substances.
Besides, the Inquisitor will probably have to ride back to Skyhold, and, you know: If you drive, you don't drink.

Well pretty much knew that drikning from it can't be nothing good and telling that morrigan and her keep refusing because she knows better about thing she doesn't know jack... i let her stupid ass drink it her breakdown was worth it.
I can only make fun of wardens letter if they romanced morrigan .
Morrigan is stronger and wiser than anyone else I have met

There is no reason not to trust Morrigan....therefore I let her drink. But the whole wellful? She emptied it.

I also Let Morrigan drink...
My very devote Andrustian mage didn't trust the well, the very fact that Cory wanted it made her wery to begin with.
and she didn't like the idea of being bound to mythal's service... she had enough issues thank you!

My Dalish drank from it. The history of her people's knowledge through the centuries right at her fingertips, and a chance to keep it in her mind forever rather than giving it over to a mysterious human woman with unclear motivations who has a history of taking off and vanishing without a trace? My Keeper's First couldn't risk her taking off with her people's legacy. ("It's my heritage.")
That said, she felt wary of the price and regretted it after she learned whom Mythal was, what she could do to her, and Solas himself became upset and reminded her that she "became the servant of an ancient elven god! You are Mythal's creature. Whatever you do from now on, whether you intend it or not, will be for her." Well, too late now. All knowledge and power comes with a price, and I've already paid it; might as well use it.
Next playthrough I'll almost certainly play a dwarf who gladly lets Morrigan drink it instead. ("You get that weird ancient voodoo power, not me!")

I chose to have my inquisitor drink from the well. It was a tough choice, but ultimately
- I would not trust Morrigan if she told me the sky was blue, so why would I ever allow her to get any kind of power?
- My Inquisitor wanted to save the world, and was willing to pay literally any price.
However I would have preferred to have the option of destroying the well / letting the Elven sentinal guy destroy the well.

The whole 'this is a geas' thing sent up too many red flags for my Quizzy (who was neither Dalish nor a mage in any case). So Morrigan drank for me. I feel like it was the right call.

First play through I drank from it because i didn't was anything to happen to Morrigan. But then I found out I get a dragon so I will probably all ways drink from it.

I think there is that option but morrigan kills tightpantsmagee before he can

My Inquisitor thought that drinking from a strange well sounds like an incredibly stupid thing to do.
Lo and behold, he was correct. I wish we could have destroyed it.

Don't know yet which one will be my 'canon' for future DLC/DA4, but:
Inq 1; Trevelyan Mage, "aggressive/renegade". Was extremely tempted by the Well's power, and not entirely trustful of Morrigan, but decided it would be easier to take down a powered up Morrigan with her party than it would to risk dying, compromising her newfound love with Cullen, and the entire Inquisition she's build over the course of the story for this. Plus, gross, imagine the parasites growing in that thing.
Inq 2; Lavellan Mage, "diplomatic/paragon". Not as connected to the Inquisition (never really got out of feeling like a fish out of water), so he had less to lose, poor Dorian
Drank it, because he wasn't going to give a up a chance to have actual knowledge of his ancestors beyond random scattered folk tales and whatnot.
Made a point in saving before the choice in both games, so if in a future game the ramifications are undesirably negative either way, I WILL be reloading. Unless it's like Hawke-Warden on steroids with Inquisitor-Morrigan ![]()

Well of souls lol!?
*falls down laughing*
Will there be a Reckoning?!
My Dalish Elf drank from the well, I hope she finds away to restore the Kingdom of the ancient Elven.
I wonder if the Ancient Elves were similar to the Fae from Amalur?
Sorry I couldn't help myself.
