I have finished WEWH and HLtA and for the most part, completed a good majority of sidequests in the other maps.
... Where can I find sweet looking armor and weapon schematics seriously.

They're mostly random, which is dumb. I have opened up Emprise Du Lion and the Hissing Wastes, there are a bunch there. There's a vendor that sells pricy, but good armor schematics in Hissing Wastes. I've gotten quite a few just from questing in those areas.

Ugh that's really dumb. So basically if I have terrible luck I'll never get pretty armor?

Probably. I've had bad luck, and I haven't really FOUND much. So I broke down and bought a few from the guy in hissing wastes.
Not all of them are random. For example, if you do the tomb puzzle quests in Hissing Wastes, i think you should definitely find the Legion of the Dead armor, which is pretty damn keen for a dwarven warrior.

The hissing wastes vendor which sells level 3 armor schematics can be found in the crevasse without having to do any work, but the emprise du lion vendor which sells level 3 weapon schematics needs Suledin keep cleared first.
Personally I don't care if they're pretty or not, I just use enhanced armors for survivability and enhances weapons to kill things faster.
