I just want a lesbian who isn't quirky or girlish. Someone elegant, composed, and strong like Cassandra or Vivienne. Hardened Leliana is the closest to that but even then she's still kind of a space cadet. Why do the boys get all the cute ice princesses and us ladies get the clingy weirdos?

As for characters in-game I kind of wished we could have flirted with Krem but he seems like the professional type who wouldn't be cool with flirting with the boss so I get it.

I second this. I'm a gay man who prefers to play my female characters as lesbians and ice princesses are apparently my type. It was frustrating not getting romance my favorite women (Morrigan, Cassandra, and Miranda in Mass Effect) that way. Isabela is the only time I got my first choice when it came to a female character.

I think that would really add something to the game actually. :)

The minstrel from Skyhold's Tavern

Ugh I just wanted to punch her.  SHUT UP ALREADY I CAN'T HEAR MY COMPANIONS TALK AND I'VE HEARD THAT SONG A MILLION TIMES.

And then I got her war table mission and laughed.

Not a fan of the gay drama storyline from Dorian (would have prefer for Dorian to just happen to be gay), and Iron Bull lacks romance. It's fun and all, but I want more swooning romance like with Kaidan or Alistair.

I agree about the dorian quest but i don't consider it part of the romance, and iron bull's is touching with the dragon tooth, actually all of the romance options were pretty random in their storytelling, some were sex based(Sera), some were sappy(Josie, Cass), some were fairy tale(Cullen), some were touching and emotional/serious(solas), besides romance only takes like 10 minutes of game time tops. So it's not just a gay problem

I don't want to sound ignorant or rude when I say this, but if you were to romance Krem, would there be sexual encounters? Give how "he" feels that that he's a man, but still has female features, would he just not have sex based on the way he is?

Krem with my femquisitor that would or rathercould be a touching romance, I really liked the way Bioware made the cullen romance with a bit of shyness and stumbling for the right words, shy glances etc.  I think they could really do justice to a Krem romance, big strong protective guy for all intents and purposes standding against the world beside the woman he loves..

Varric always wanted to romance him.

Cassandra with my femquisitor.

Dorian with my femquisitor. As it is I am going to try a malequisitor just for him he is adorable.

Varric. Forever Varric. Also Dagna and Harding. Yeah, I have a theme going here ...

As for characters from past games that weren't romances, Sigrun and Nathaniel Howe. (Hey, only one of them is a dwarf!)

If you read up on the interview on Krem, it said that they don't want to make transgender drama as part of the storyline as it hits too close to home for some people. It's the same for a lot of the gay players, while to many, it's just not a gay issue, for many gay guys, they have experienced it first handed, they don't want to be reminded constantly of how hard it sucks to be gay. While there are variation for the romances, many people are not as flexible to roleplay as other gender or as other sexual orientations, so if we just look at the gay options, if you want a swooning romantic storyline like with Kaidan or Cullen, it's just not there, seeing as Dorian is angsty coming out story and Iron Bull is playful. It's just something I find a bit disappointed personally. I'm happy for those who enjoy it though.

Abelas. Definitely.

I also think my Inquisitor had the hots for Morrigan because he *always* smiled when he was talking to her. He didn't smile like that around hardly anyone else, lol.

Ser Barris. Incredibly cute and handsome. Wouldn't mind him being a companion and LI in DA4.

Scout Harding too, though I'd prefer it be more like a Josephine/Solas romance.

Scout Harding first and foremost.

Hopefully, any flirting we make in the base game gets taken to a further level in DLC (my first Cadash is going to flirt so much, the amount of flirting compared to serious conversation will be woefully low).

Leliana as a second. I get that she needs to be gated for any previous living Heroes-of-Ferelden, but if said Hero died, or never romanced her at all, I'd love for the option to be available.

And if anyone raises a fuss over her first major PC love dying and her still being romanceable, it's been almost ten years; Cass lost the love of her life at the opening of the game, and she's okay with a romance come mid-game. Even earlier if you focus on starting the romance above all other concerns, in fact. I got a romance started so early with my first Trevelyan playthrough in the base story, all of the scaffolding was still up in Skyhold. Which kinda trapped me on that balcony when we had the first major talk about the romance, but the point still stands. It also adds another level of characterization to Leliana if she's only auto-gated if she's in a romance with a living Warden; if there was a romance with a Warden who died, it would be the player's perogative whether or not to continue pursuing romance once that fact comes to light, but it would also be something to maybe help her move past, if not for the player's sake, than for her own sake and future happiness with someone other than the player.

Varric. The answer is always Varric. They even had the perfect "I only like dwarves" scapegoat. I'd take him over any of the current female love interests (even Solas).

Well, Cassandra was at the top of my wishlist.  So I guess they don't need to write romances anymore.

Corypheus. Yeah I know it just can't happen. And yes I'm serious. I was one of the stupid " I wanna romance the illusive man" players.
Realistically though, Krem gets my vote.

Celene, Leliana (maybe) and of course Cory.

But I will always romance Cassandra, she is the best.

She'd still take up a potential love interest slot. Leliana romancers (and there are quite a few) would still have one less option than everyone else in DA:I because of something they did way back in DA:O. It'd be preferable to the alternative but it would still seem silly.

A Leliana romance would be a complete waste of time and resources that would just anger people one way or the other honestly. Much better to just make new characters than tread old ground again...

My top 3 would be Harding, Dagna, and Vivienne.

Harding and Dagna because they're reminiscent of DAO Leliana and DA2 Merril respectively whom, imo, represented the "cute/sweet" romance options in their respective games (contrasted to the "sexy/hot" Morrigan and Isabella). Josephine, more or less, fills that role but either/both of the dwarves would have been much better imo. Vivienne simply because she's such a classy lady and it would have been a new, interesting romantic dynamic then we're used to seeing in these games.

I'll admit, I miiiight still be a bit pouty about Varric. Just a lil' bit mind you :P Cullen more than makes up for it but since the Bianca thing turned out to be so "meh" I guess I couldn't see why a romance couldn't have worked. Honestly I wanted more for him than to be the "other man" the rest of his life, that just really sucks. Varric's a cool dude and deserves happiness , not to be second fiddle. I was even all for pairing him up with someone like Harding just to help him get over his Bianca funk! Or you know a cute lil' dorf Inquisitor but that ship has long sailed

- Dagna. Such a positive young lady who pursues her dream with no hesistation!! I like her being a positive and charming character.

- Dalish from the Chargers. I like her sense of humor. 'I'm not a mage!' 'The crystal is for better aiming'

- Flissa. The tavern owner in Haven. She is adorable. So sad that I could not save her in my first PT :( and apparently many people liked her since many of them greived post-haven
