I'm on my second run.
Mage (me) + Morrigan + allistair + Leli all level 9. (I went to tower first, then here)
(I killed the stupid healer)

I have all militias, the bartender, the 3 dwarves.
I tried to save all those guys while fighting. Even with EASY mode on, I lost half of them - I don't kill fast enough, that's clear.
any idea of how to do it ? I saw some videos, but those guys seem to kill twice as fast as me.

...why try to save them? let them all die and take all the loot. it's an easy way to make a lot of money early in the game

Do you have Heal? If so you can target it manually on the wounded militia to keep them alive. You can also use forcefield to save them. I've found that for the most part taunt doesn't work too well in that fight, then enemies don't really like to switch targets, but when you first reach the defenders it can aggro some of the corpses. Try to use stuns as often as possible too, though undead are immune to a few of them. Cone of cold is handy for shattering but watch out for the defenders when you aim it. Glyph of warding and Glyph of Repulsion are great for that fight too. If you keep the militia alive and healed through the initial assault they'll do most of the fighting for you. It's a shame you have Leliana in that fight, she's useless for combat at that level.

This is one of those fights that gets much easier at higher levels, because the militia out level the corpses. I've had militia die before I could reach the bottom at low levels and at high levels I've saved every militia member while soloing. You don't get much out of the fight other than a weak helmet (I think you can sell it for around a sovereign though), and a ring from Lloyd if you keep him alive. So you might just want to move on if it's giving you a hard time.

Well, that's what I chose at first run with my 2H warrior.

I wanted to change choices for the 2d one, that's why I killed wynne asap, will go blood mage. But i wanted to save the guys in here, just for the fun. Morrigan has no heal right now.

I guess it is not really possible at level 9 if you are not a very good player. Well, as Nestor said, I'll get a lot of money selling their stuff, and if I do a 3d run, I'll come with higher levels.

I already saw that TAUNT is not good here, and leliana not very deadly .. Will try once or twice more, then keep money !

thank you

You could try switching Leliana to daggers for that fight. Not respeccing her or anything, just daggers might work better. Dog is a killer; dread howl is great, and you can switch to whatever group you want before the fight. I would just switch Leliana for Dog (put all his points in strength).

If you're talking about my video, yeah, a dual wield rogue is going to kill a lot faster than a mage at that level, especially against undead. Most of the damage I'm doing is from my rogue and Dog, though Morrigan's Cone of Cold is very helpful. Also, laying traps down at the bottom does go a LONG way if you really want to save everyone. Without traps, I find typically some of them are about to die by the time I get down there.
