It seems this award winning technology has introduced some interesting boundary conditions, seeing that in the middle of the desert my team members were taking damage with behavior like fall damage for no obvious reason. I have no suggestion for that occurrence and its so random as to be low priority. However, in the general case when objects are in or fall to positions that make them difficult or impossible to reach modify the search key to make a buoyancy effect to float the objects to the player.
Also extend the pick up range for a few moments in case rocks or other debris cause issues.
