I got the (rather drastic) graphics downgrade and shiny hair mess as well. Though I was fortunate to not get the sudden aging aspect of the patch. Hopefully there is a fix for this because I can't see myself being able to play until there is. I was spoiled with the ultra settings and now everything looks like a potato :/

Will have to log back in a see, I played the game after the patch and my Dwarf was fine facially and his scars were still there, I did notice the shiny hair glitch though and that the game hanged for a moment, like it was loading the rest of the game world. Also a few clipping issues where the greatsword was clipping through my shirt when it wasn't before.

 

But no old, wrinkle looking things like that, at least there wasn't. Almost afraid to log back in and check now

Seriously, this isn't cool. I want the option to roll this patch back now. I wouldn't be so upset but the patch was forced on us. I usually wait to dl patches until I hear whether it breaks more than it fixes, but Origin forced me to patch in order to play the game and now I can't play because I figure any save I make will be corrupted. Even supposing I can get used to... that.

Luckily you can just use the mirror in your quarters, quickly bring up the CC like you could in DAII and rectify this...oh wait they didn't include that. Then just use console commands and...oh wait they didn't include those either. 

 

On a more serious note: Really sorry that happened to users, I "only" got the shiny hair and the graphics downgrade.

I honestly don't understand how they could release a patch that manages to break more things than it fixes. I mean, don't they test it before releasing it? It seems everyone is stuck with low settings no matter what they do so when they tested it they should have noticed this?? Or is it actually intentional to make the game look like crap for everyone now?

Thankfully the only issue I've noticed so far is the hair shine.  On the positive side my companions seem to be chatting more for whatever reason.

I don't think we we'll ever get an official explanation. I just hope this will get fixed as soon as possible. It's not good for the game reputation. For now, 60% Inquisitors looks like they have "too many Dark side points" lol.

So, may be a stupid console peasant question, but I wonder if this affects PS4 users as well or just PC? I already know PS3 and XBox 360 are lower graphics quality.

 

I only wonder because on PS4 you get whatever the highest graphic setting it is capable of, rather than choosing "low" or "ultra", etc. But this seems like more than just low-setting shiny hair, since some people are suddenly aging 40-60 years.

 

I am leery of going online and downloading this patch. But not downloading it means no MP, so... eh, decisions.
